Small Angle X-Ray Scattering Study on the Oxopolymer Variations of BaTi-ethoxide Sol by Catalysts (촉매제에 의한 BaTi-에톡사이드 솔의 옥소폴리머 변화에 대한 저각 X선 산란연구)

  • Small angle X-ray scattering was used to study on the oxopolymers of sols derived from BaTiethoxide. The growths of the oxopolymers in tools obtained with NH40H as catalyst and catalystfree sol are similar. Their radii of gyration are 1.66-2.08nm. They exhibit a mass fractal behavior with a dimension of 1.6, which is almost inde pendent with amount of NH40H addition. Sols catalyzed with CHSCOOH have greater radii of gyration of 3.24-4.OOnm. Their scattering curves are similar in the intermediate Q region, showing a mass fractal dimension of 1.8. The oxopolymers of the tools from the base and the neutral hydrolysis conditions may have a short chain structure.

  • Samsung Thales has developed a small-sized autonomous underwater vehicle "BOTO" verified by a mathematical model simulation. The hydrodynamic coefficients and drag force were experimented at circulating water channel for validating cruising performance of the AUV. Based on the mathematical model, we simulated turning radius and way-point tracking on horizontal plane using way-point tracking algorithm. In this paper we introduce the vehicle system and the sea trial test results will be shown.

  • The vaneless diffusers are widely used in industrial centrifugal compressors which are required to operate within a wide flow range. When very high pressure gases are handled by centrifugal compressor. rotating stall is a serious problem because of the occurance of large aerodynamic exciting forces. Rotating stall mostly often occurs in the impellers but it can occur in vaneless diffusers as well. In this experimental study, the rotating stall in vaneless diffuser with radial type centrifugal impeller was measured by changing the flow rate with I-type, X-type hotwire. As the result, it was cleared which type of rotating stall of the impeller stall would occur and how many stall cells would appear relating with the flow rate. As the flow rate reduced, the propagation speed of rotating stall was reduced. But the stall cell number unchanged with respect to the flow rate.

  • For a vertical type crankshaft-journal bearing system used in scroll compressor, nonlinear transient response analysis is applied includung nonlinear fluid film reaction forces of journal beatings. By a connected behavior analysis of crankshaft and orbiting scroll, the radial clearance of scroll wraps is calculated. Considering tangential leakage for this clearance, a coupled analysis model for leakage and dynamic behavior of the orbiting scroll is made, and analyzed by iterative calculation. By regarding clearances of main, sub bearing of crankshaft and orbiting scroll shaft bearing clearance as design parameters, the radial clearance of scroll wraps is analyzed.

자유항주 모형선을 이용한 선박의 복원성능과 조종성능 관계 연구

  • IMO는 해상에서의 선박 안전 향상을 위해 선박의 복원성능과 조종성능에 관한 국제적 기준을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 기준은 선박 연구자가 수행하는 연구의 방향에도 영향을 미치고 있다. 기존의 수행된 연구는 복원성능과 조종성능의 각각의 분야에서 독립적으로 수행되어 왔으며, 아직 두 분야의 상호 관계에 관한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 선박의 복원성능과 조종성능의 상호 관계를 정량적으로 규명하고자 기초적인 실험 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 복원성능을 나타내는 지표인 GM과 선박의 조종성능을 나타내는 지표인 선회성능을 통해 두 항복 간 상호 관계의 정량적 분석을 시도하였다. 자유항주 모형선을 이용한 선회 시험을 실시하였고, 그 결과 GM 감소에 따른 선회반경 감소 및 초기 횡경사 각도 증가를 확인했으며, 그 변화의 경향은 서로 다르게 나타나는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 농작업지내 모서리 점을 이용하여 자율주행 트랙터의 경로점을 생성하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 작업지는 직사각형의 형태에서 거리가 긴 방향으로 직선주행 경로로 하고, 직선경로의 수는 작업폭에 의해 결정되며 홀수 또는 짝수 개일 수 있다. 또한 TM좌표계에서 직선주행 경로의 기울기는 양수 또는 음수 일 수 있으며, 선회시 전체적으로 좌회전 또는 우회전하는 경우로 구분하여, 즉 총 8가지의 경우에 대하여 조건이 주어지면 경로점을 구할 수 있도록 프로그램하였다. 선회를 위한 곡선경로 생성에는 트랙터의 최소 회전반경 데이터를 사용하였으며, 이때 새로 진입할 다음 경로가 충분히 떨어져 있는 경우에는 선회 구간에서도 직선 경로 구간이 생길 수 있음을 고려하였다. 한 주기의 경로점은 직선 경로 구간의 시작점과 끝점, 선회 구간의 시작점과 끝점, 다음 직선경로로 진입을 위해 선회하기 직전까지의 직선 구간에 대한 시작점과 끝점 등 6가지의 경우로 구분할 수 있다. 이때 어떤 끝점 경로점은 다음 조작 구간의 시작점 경로점이 되므로 최종적인 경로점 데이터는 4개가 된다. 여기서, 첫 번째 경로점 생성에서는 직선구간 진입을 위한 선회구간의 시작점과 끝점은 제외하였으며, 작업지로 진입할 수 있는 입구와 출구는 동일한 것으로 가정하여, 작업이 완료되는 지점에서 선회하여 다시 출발점으로 돌아올 수 있도록 추가 구성하였다. 실제 상황에서는 직선주행 경로의 수가 정수가 되지 않을 수 있으며, 이때는 작업 구간이 약간씩 오버랩되도록 작업폭을 조정하여 경로의 수가 항상 정수가 되도록 하였다. 알고리즘 평가에 사용된 작업 패턴은 관행적인 방법으로서 작업 포장을 반으로 나누어 8자형 패턴을 이용하였다.

Comparative Analysis of Circling Approach Procedure Design Standards Applied to Domestic Airports (국내 공항에 적용된 선회접근 절차 설계기준의 비교 분석)

  • In most countries, instrument flight procedures are designed by applying one of the following standards: the International Aviation Organization's DOC 8168, Air Navigation Services and Operation Procedures (PANS-OPS), or the US Federal Aviation Administration's TERPS, Terminal Procedures. In particular, the circling approach procedure has many differences between the two standards, and the US terminal procedure (TERPS) has become more complicated since 2013 by applying expanded standards depending on altitude. The circling approach procedures are more risky than straight-in approach procedures because it involves maneuvering the aircraft close to the ground at low energy for landing. In order to accurately understand these differences, this study provides to distinguish by what criteria the circling approach procedure is designed according to individual domestic airports in Korea, to calculate the radius for the range of circling approach areas that guarantee minimum obstacle avoidance during circling approach maneuvers, and to present methods for performing safe circling approach procedures.

An Experimental Study on Steering Performance of Seafloor Tracked Vehicle Based on Design Of Experiment Using Orthogonal Array (직교행렬 실험계획법에 의한 해저연약지반 선회성능실험 연구)

  • This paper concerns about an experimental investigation about steering performance of tracked vehicle on extremely soft soil based on DOE(Design Of Experiment) using L8 orthogonal Array. A tracked vehicle model with principal dimensions of $0.9m{\times}0.8m{\times}0.4m$ and weight 167kg was constructed with a pair of driving chain links driven by two AC-servo motors. The tracks are configured with detachable grousers, the span of which can be varied. Deep seabed was simulated by means of bentonite-water mixture in a soil bin of $6.0m{\times}3.7m{\times}0.7m$. Turning radii of vehicle and torques of motors were measured with respect to experimental variables; steering ratio, driving speed, grouser chevron angle, grouser span, grouser height. The effects of experiment variables on steering performance are evaluated.

  • This paper addresses the design of the auto race-track and figure-8 flight mode which can be applied to expand the loitering flight mode and increase the safety of UAV. To implement these flight modes, necessary waypoints and entry points can be calculated automatically from several information of the ground control system. The flight logic is proposed to pass the desired waypoints as well as entry points and transfer to the desired flight path by combining the light-of-sight and loitering guidance controller. The proposed algorithm and logic is verified using the 6-DOF UAV model and nonlinear simulation under the several flight conditions.
