Design of Incremental Model by Linear Regression and Local RBFNs (선형회귀와 국부적인 RBFN에 의한 점진적인 모델의 설계)

  • 본 논문은 선형회귀(LR: Linear Regression)와 국부적인 방사기저함수 네트워크(RBFN: Radial Basis Function Networks)를 결합한 점진적인 모델(incremental model)의 설계와 관련되어진다. 전형적인 RBFN에 의한 모델링과는 달리, 제안된 방법의 근본적인 원리는 두 단계에 의해 고려되어진다. 첫째, 전체 모델의 설계과정에서 전역적인 모델로써 선형회귀에 의해 데이터의 선형부분을 구축한다. 다음으로, 모델링 오차는 오차가 존재하는 국부적인 공간에서 RBFN에 의해 보상되어진다. 여기서, 오차의 분포로부터 RBFN을 설계하기 위해 컨텍스트 기반 퍼지 클러스터링(CFC: Context-based Fuzzy Clustering)를 통해 정보입자의 형태로 구축되어진다. 실험은 자동차 mpg 연료소비량 예측과 부동산 가격예측문제를 통해 제안된 방법의 우수성을 증명한다.

  • DYGABCD 프로그램을 이용해 선형모델의 구성에 필요한 시스템 행렬을 구하고 최소자승법을 이용하여 실시간 선형모사를 행한 후 DYNGEN 프로그램을 이용한 비선형 모사와 비교하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다. 그리고 가제어성과 가안정성을 시험하여 시스템에 대해 제어기설계가 가능한지 확인하고 엔진의 성능과 직결되는 터빈입구 온도의 Overshoot 제어를 위해 고전적 제어기법인 PI제어기와 현대적 최적제어기법인 LQR 제어기를 설계하여 각각의 성능을 비교해 보았다.

Optimal Design of Dendritic Water Distribution Systems Using Linear Prograning (선형계획법을 이용한 분기형 관망 시스템의 최적설계)

  • This paper presents a model for the optimal design of dendritic water distribution systems using linear progranning technique. The optimization model was formulated and applied to a coastal region reclamation project site located in Hae-Ham, Jun-Nam province. The water distribution systems in the region had aleady been designed using a hydraulic simulator(BRANCH). The optimization model developed in this research utilized the data given in the report of the project. The comparison between the systems designed by the simulator and by the optimization model shows that the optimization model provides better results and can be utilized more efficiently in the design of dendritic water distribution systems.

Direct Inelastic Design for Steel Structures (강구조를 위한 직접비탄성설계법)

  • A new inelastic design method performing iterative calculations using secant stiffness was developed. Since the proposed design method uses linear analysis, it is convenient and stable in numerical analysis. At the same time, the proposed design method can accurately estimate the inelastic strength and ductility demands of the members by performing iterative calculation. In the present study, the procedure of the proposed design method was established. Design examples using the proposed method were presented, and its advantages were highlighted by comparisons with existing design methods using elastic or plastic analysis. Unlike the existing inelastic design methods performing the preliminary design on the structure and checking its validity using nonlinear analysis, the proposed integrated analysis-design method can directly calculate the strength and ductility demands of each member. In addition, the proposed design method can address the inelastic design strategy intended by the engineer, such as strength and ductility limits of members and the design concept of strong-column and weak-beam. As a result, economical and safe design can be achieved.

Effect of Stern Wedge on the Wave Making Resistance of Chine Hull Form (선미 웨지가 차인선형의 조파저항에 미치는 영향)

  • Hull forms of a high speed small boat have been developed through numerical studies. A round bilge type hull form has been drived form a using chine hull form with HCAD, a hull form variation software. Wave resistance and the flow fields around the ships have been computed using well-known software, WAVIS. This software employs Rankine source method with non-linear tree surface condition as well as dry transom boundary conditions. The round bilge hull form showed better resistance performance than to the chine hull form for the whole speed range. However, considering the building and labor costs of the small shipyard, the chine hull form has been selected and its wave resistance characteristics has been improved by modifying the bow regions and applying the stem wedge. It is found that the effect of stem wedge is quite satisfactory to improve the resistance characteristics of high speed chine hull form.

  • PID controllers, which have been widely used in industry, have a simple structure and robustness to modeling error. But They are difficult to have uniformly good control performance in system parameters variation or different velocity command. In this paper, we propose a nonlinear adaptive PID controller based on a cell-mediated immune response and a gradient descent learning. This algorithm has a simple structure and robustness to system parameters variation. To verify performances of the proposed nonlinear adaptive PID controller, the speed control of nonlinear DC motor is performed. The simulation results show that the proposed control systems are effective in tracking a command velocity under system parameters variation.

Fuzzy H2/H Controller Design for Delayed Nonlinear Systems with Saturating Input (포화입력을 가지는 시간지연 비선형 시스템의 퍼지 H2/H 제어기 설계)

  • In this Paper, we present a method for designing fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers of delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input. Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is employed to represent delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input. The fuzzy control systems utilize the concept of the so-called parallel distributed compensation(PDC). Using a single quadratic Lyapunov function, the globally exponential stability and $H_2/H_{\infty}$ performance problem are discussed. And a sufficient condition for the existence of fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers is given in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). The designing fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controllers minimize an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. Finally, a design example of fuzzy $H_2/H_{\infty}$ controller for uncertain delayed nonlinear systems with saturating input.

Observer Design for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems with Output Delay (출력지연을 갖는 이산시간 비선형 시스템의 관측기 설계)

  • This paper presents the observer design method for discrete-time nonlinear systems with delayed output. It is shown that by considering a nonlinear term of error dynamics as an additional state variable, the discrete-time nonlinear error dynamics with time delay can be transformed into the discrete-time linear one with time delay. Sufficient conditions for existence of state observer are characterized by linear matrix inequalities. Finally, an illustrative example is given in order to show the effectiveness of our design method.

  • 선형이나 타의 특성은 선박의 조종성능에 큰 영향을 미친다. 특히, 설계단계에서의 조종성능 추정에 주로 사용하는 추정근사식(경험식)은 대부분 IMO 조종성 기준(IMO, resolution MSC.137[76])의 적용을 받는 Lpp 100 m 이상의 대형 상선모델로부터 도출되었기 때문에, 선체가 작고 선형이 다른 어선의 조종성능을 추정하기에는 다소 오차를 발생시킬 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 상선선형과 트롤어선선형이 가지는 고유한 제원 특성을 비교하여 추정오차의 발생 유무를 확인하였고, 트롤어선선형이 가지는 고유한 선형 특성을 분석하여 어선 분야의 자율운항선박 설계에 필요한 파라메터를 마련하였다.

Design Comparison of Totally Prefabricated Bridge Substructure Systems Designed by Present Design and LRFD Methods (현행설계법 및 하중저항계수설계법에 의한 완전 조립식 교량 하부구조의 설계결과 비교)

  • The design comparison and nonlinear analysis of totally prefabricated bridge substructure systems are performed. The prefabricated bridge substructures are designed by the methods of present design and load and resistance factor design (LRFD). For the design, the current Korea Highway Bridge Code (KHBD), with DB-24 and DL-24 live loads, is used. This study evaluates the present design method of KHBD (2005) and AASHTO-LRFD (2007) for totally prefabricated bridge substructure systems. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures, was used.
