This study investigated the types of analogies generated by science-gifted students, mapping errors on the chromatography, and the perceptions on generating analogy. The subjects were science-gifted eighth-graders (N=68) enrolled at four gifted-education centers in Seoul. Analyses of the results revealed that most science-gifted students represented the analogies using verbal and pictorial forms based on concrete and everyday experiences, and they elaborately explained them including the functional attributes and the causal relationships of the target concept. Science-gifted students selected the analogies having rich similarities or similar structure and principle between the target concept and the analogy as the best of the self-generated analogies. And they used mainly their 'school life' as analogy materials. The results of the mapping test showed that many science-gifted students had mapping errors such as 'failure to map' and 'overmapping'. They were found to have the positive perceptions on generating analogy. The present study will provide the basic information to develop an instructional model in generating analogy in an education program for science-gifted students.

Jeju Special Self-governing Province continues to try to attract tourists on the basis of an active investment in the tourist industry. But most of the researches and studies on Jeju Tourism were made on a viewpoint of hardware. Therefore, the researches and studies which are related to 'the inclination of tourists who visit Jeju Island', 'the tourist satisfaction by a selection of tourist destination' and 'tourists' activities after the visit to Jeju Island' are insufficient. Accordingly, this study will support a basic datum needed for formulating a policy of Jeju tourism by closely examining the related influences among the Jeju tourists' inclination, their satisfaction and their activities after a tour of Jeju.

The purpose of this study was to develop science essay writing activities for developing elementary pre-service teacher's scientific thinking ability and scientific emotion and to analyze its effects. For the study, 60 first grade students attending teacher training institutes in the G region of Korea were selected. All 60 elementary pre-service teachers were students who selected a liberal arts lecture related to 'science inquiry'. As a result of the study, we confirmed that the preliminary teacher uses the scientific method of 'induction' in the article related to scientific thinking and the description related to the past time, agency, and purpose of the story is included in the essay related to scientific emotion. In addition, it was confirmed that elementary school teachers' writing ability was improved as the writing was repeated, and that the image of 'science' changed positively in many areas. This study suggests that a various and interesting scientific inquiry activities are needed to improve the science writing skills.

다덕 광산 폐석내 섬아연석과 함망간탄산염 광물의 풍화현상과 그에 따른 중금속의 거동을 조사 하였다. 섬아연석은 풍화초기에 극미립 산화철의 망상구조 집합체로 교대되었으며, 후기에는 자연황이 용해중인 섬아연석과 산화철 집합체 사이에 침전되었다. 산화철 집합체에는 As가 다량 함유되어 있다. 능망간석와 함망간 방해석은 함아연산화망간의 망상구조 집합체로 교대되었으며, 함망간방해서과 함아연산화망간 사이에는 스미소나이트가 침전되었다. 선택적 용해외 X선회절분석을 이용하여 감정한 결과, 함아연산화망간은 헤테롤라이트/하이드로헤테롤라이트인 것으로 판명되었다. Zn의 일부는 규산과 결합하여 입간 공극에 월레마이트로 침전되었다. 풍화 초기에 형성되는 극미립 산화철 및 함아연산화망간의 치밀한 망상 집합체는 풍화용액의 순환을 차단하여, 모광물의 풍화 반응을 지체시키는 지화학적 장벽 역할을 하였다. 이에 따라 망상구조 내에 조성된 국지적 미환경하에서 풍화중간산물들이 침전되었다. 이상의 연구 결과로 다음과 같은 사항을 추론할 수 있다. 섬아연석의 Fe와 함망간탄산염의 Mn은 각각 산화철과 산화망간으로 침전되어 산성화에 기여하였다. 폐광석 더미내 As의 활동도는 저결정질 산화철에의 흡착에 의해 조절되며, Zn의 활동도는 미소환경조건에 따라 하이드로헤테롤라이트/헤테롤라이트, 스미소나이트, 월레마이트 등의 다양한 이차광물의 용해도에 의하여 조절된다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the housing tenure choice decisions of older households, with focus on the activity constraints of the householders. For analysis, the probit model based on the data of the householders over 55 years of age from the 2015 KLIPS data was implemented. The research findings indicate that the ownership choice probability decreases when the head of the household has activity or social activity constraints. If there is an activity restriction, it is considered that the possibility of self-residence will be low due to the increase in medical expenses, the possibility of participation in economic activities will be low, the possibility of early retirement will be high, and the income will decrease. Therefore, if the head of the household has a personal or social activity constraint, such case is more likely to be categorized as falling under the poor residential group. This result suggests that the activity constraint can be utilized as a useful index for the housing welfare policy considering physical vulnerability.

본 논문은 적응형 육각 탐색에 기반한 고속 블록 정합 알고리즘의 성능 개선에 관한 것으로, 이전 프레임의 움직임 활동도를 산출한 후, 웨이블렛 변환의 다단계 저주파 부영상들로 구성된 피라미드 계층 구조상에서 이 움직임 활동도에 따라 초기 움직임 탐색 계층을 적응적으로 선택하면서 적응형 육각 탐색에 기반한 계층적 블록 정합을 수행함으로써 움직임 벡터 추정의 고속화를 실현함과 동시에 국부 최소화를 효과적으로 경감시킬 수 있는 블록 정합 알고리즘을 제안함에 그 목적이 있다. 우선, 초기 연속된 두 프레임에 대해 적응형 육각 탐색을 이용하여 움직임 벡터를 추정한 후 움직임 활동도를 산출한다. 이후, 움직임 활동도가 낮은 경우, 다음 프레임의 움직임 벡터를 추정 시 최하위 계층에서 적응형 육각 탐색을 수행하고, 움직임 활용도가 높은 경우 피라미드 계층 구조상의 최상위 계층에서부터 상하 계층들 간에 움직임 탐색 영역을 중복시키면서 움직임 벡터를 추정한다. 제안된 방법의 타당성과 보편성을 검증하기 위해 서로 다른 움직임 특성을 갖는 복수의 영상 시퀀스들을 대상으로 움직임 보상 화질과 수렴시간 측면에서 그 성능을 평가 분석하였다. 제안된 방법에 따르면, 고속 움직임 탐색이 가능한 적응형 육각 탐색의 장점을 유지하면서도 움직임 활동도가 높은 영상에서 야기되는 국부최소문제를 효과적으로 억제시키고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

This paper addresses an adaptive postprocessing technique to remove blocking effects of the highly compressed images. The proposed technique removes blocking effects selectively by applying filters with different strength according to block analysis based on the directional activity. One-dimensional filters which are used to remove grid noises accomplish the adaptive filtering to the signal itself as well as to the directionality of the block. Moreover, we propose a detection method of the staircase noises and corner outliers and a two-dimensional directional filter to remove them. Experimental results for various images and bitrates show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional methods in PSNR for the objective performance and GBIM for the subjective quality evaluation.

This study intended to analyze picture books and activity contents of Book Start Program targeting infants and preschooler. Target objects were 244 picture books with their activities contained on casebook of Book Start Program. First, the study outcome showed that the most type of its picture books in general was fantasy, while, by ages, play books for those in 6~18 months, information books for those in 19~35 months, and fantasy books for those in 36 months~before going to school were the most. Second, contents of the picture books showed the most order of nature exploration, social relationship, art experience, while by ages, contents on nature exploration were the most in all ages, while social relationship and art experience showed statistically significant difference by ages. Third, the outcome of activity contents utilizing the books showed drawing activities were the most, while activities other than drawing showed statistically significant difference by ages. This result shows that they chose a picture book suitable for the developmental characteristics of the infants and preschoolers, but that the contents of the picture book were not closely associated with the activities. The outcome of this study lies in offering information and basis on ways to choose effective picture books and their activities to those planning and running Book Start Program in the future.

Refer ta the current state of optional curriculums and information related classes in elementary schools, the number of schools and classes, which is related in information education, is constantly reducing in recent 3 years. It is anticipated that the status of information education in school will get lower, because the extra-curricular activity is planned ta be changed with creative experience activity in revised education curriculum 2009, which is published by the ministry of education, science and technology. Moreover, the current state of information education in schools cannot actively handle the social changes and requirements but keep the old curriculums. This study explains the effectiveness and the examples of creative personality and fluency using educational robot in creative experience activity. We also tried ta find the probability of robot utilizing education as an expanded information education area in elementary school.
