A Study on Underwater Camera Image Correction for Ship Bottom Inspection Using Underwater Drone (수중드론을 활용한 선박 선저검사용 수중 카메라 영상보정에 대한 연구)

  • In general, many marine organisms are attached to the bottom of a ship in operation or a ship in construction. Due to this phenomenon, the roughness of the ship surface increases, resulting in loss of ship speed, resulting in economic losses and environmental pollution. This study acquires / utilizes camera images attached to ship's bottom and underwater drones to check the condition of bottom. The acquired image will determine the roughness according to marine life by the administrator's visual confirmation. Therefore, by applying a filter algorithm to correct the image to the original image can help in the correct determination of whether or not attached to marine life. Various correction filters are required for the underwater image correction algorithm, and the lighting suitable for the dark underwater environment has a great influence on the judgment. The results of the research test according to the calibration algorithm and the roughness of each algorithm are considered to be applicable to many fields.

  • 오징어채낚기 어업은 우리나라 연근해 어업 생산량의 약8%를 차지하는 주요 어업중 하나이다. 오징어 채낚기 어선은 조업 중 물돛의 역할은 어선이 가급적 조류의 흐름과 거의 같은 속도로 흘러가게 하므로서, 어군이 선저의 음영부에 오랫동안 머물러 있도록 하고, 낚시가 경사지지 않고 선저의 음영부에 수직으로 내려가 조획률을 높일 뿐 아니라 낚시끼리 서로 얽히지 않게 하여 효과적으로 조업을 수행할 수 있도록 한다(김전, 1992). (중략)

  • Discharging untreated bilge to the ocean is a cause of marine pollution. In general, bilge water contains free and/or emulsified forms of oil. Free form of oil can easily be separated by gravimetric flotation and/or proper filtration processes. However, those simple physicochemical processes could not separate emulsified oil without adding proper chemicals. Electrolytic flotation is one of promising technologies able to fulfill the effluent standard requirement, which is below 15 ppm of oil content. In this research, Electrochemical process consisting of electrochemical flotation basin was studied for the treatment of emulsified oil. In order to estimate, the effectiveness of oil separation equipment influent concentration of oil and HRT(Hydraulic retention time) were considered. Also, lab-scale electrochemical process was designed and operated in the condition of various HRT, current density, and electrode gap. Through the research, following results were obtained. From the experiment of bench scale electrochemical treatment process, it was demonstrated that the emulsified oil was treated effectively and the removal efficiency of emulsified oil from wastewater was increased with HRT and current density.

On the Reduction of a Ship Resistance by Attaching an Air Cavity to Its Flat Bottom (선저에 부착된 공기공동에 의한 선박의 저항감소에 관한 연구)

  • Extensive resistance tests for a passenger boat(now in service at Chung-Ju lake) have been performed in a towing tank to investigate the effect of an artificial air cavity attached to the hull bottom on the reduction of the ship resistance. The attached air cavity has been observed at various air sully rates, from which we have determined a proper shape of an air supply device. In order to prevent the supplied air from leaking near the bilge of the ship, longitudinal barrier strips have been attached to both sides of the device. The investigation on their effectiveness reveals that a cascade system of the air supply device reduces the resistance of the ship furthermore. Energy saving of more than 10% is achieved at the design speed in spite of the additional power necessary for the air supply.

  • 추진기와 타가 놓여있는 선미부에서의 난류 유동에 의한 저항을 증가시키는 요인이 집중되어 있다. 트랜섬 선미를 가지고 있는 선박의 경우 선미선형에 의한 저항의 형태가 달라진다. $Re=2.8{\times}10^5$의 균일흐름에서, 선저와 트랜섬이 이루는 각도를 각각 $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$로 변형하여 선미선형을 선정하였으며, 자유 수면에서 모델의 하부까지의 깊이는 동일하게 적용하였다. 선저가 끝단에서 트랜섬 선미형상에 의해 급격한 각도를 이루는 지점에서 상하로 맥동하는 유동특성이 나타나며, 각도가 증가 할수록 와의 형태가 작아져 난류의 발생이 감소하였다.
