The Superconducting Properties of a High-Temperature Superconducting GdBCO-Coated Conductor (고온초전도 GdBCO 박막선재의 초전도 특성)

  • The basic magnetic properties of commercially available High-$T_c$ Superconductor (HTS) GdBCO-coated conductor (GdBCO-CCs) were investigated by using physical property measurement system-vibrating sample magnetometer (PPMS-VSM). From the zero-field-cooled (ZFC) m(T) curve, the $T_c$ was found to be ~93 K. After removing the background m(H) data, we obtained both the net m(H) data and the ${\Delta}m_{irr}$. The $H_{irr}(T)$ coincided very well with the power-law relation $H_{irr}=H_{irr}(0)(1-T/T_c)^n$ with $$n{\sim_=}1.19$$. The magnetic flux behavior was investigated by using the ${\delta}$ values in the relationship $J_c{\propto}{\Delta}m_{irr}{\propto}H^{-{\delta}}$. A ${\delta}{\approx}0$ region denoting an independent magnetic flux pinning effect, a ${\delta}{\approx}0.6{\sim}1.2$ region representing a collective flux pinning effect due to the interaction, and a ${\delta}{\gg}2$ region representing freely moving magnetic fluxes caused by the Lorentz force were observed. The boundary line between ${\delta}{\approx}0$ and ${\delta}{\approx}0.6{\sim}1.2$ is denoted by a $H_1$, and the one between ${\delta}{\approx}0.6{\sim}1.2$ and ${\delta}{\gg}2$ is denoted by a $H_2$. The ${\delta}(T)$ was obtained in the region of $H_1$ < H < $H_2$. As the temperature was decreased, the ${\delta}$ value gradually decreased.

  • This paper is concerned with the prediction of micro structural changes of pearlitic steel wire during clod drawing. The most important microstructural aspects are ferrite/cementite interlamellar spacing, cementite shape and thickness, since those are crucial factors to determine the mechanical strength of pearlitic steel. In this study, a couple of new algorithms to predict the above microstructural changes are developed based on the deformation histories of macro material points obtained from finite element simulations for pearlitic steel wire drawing. Some predictions are shown. The special features of the algorithms developed in this study are discussed in details.

  • $Nb_3Sn$ superconducting wires were fabricated in order to investigate the effect of pre-heat treatment for internal tin process. 2 types of Sn reservoir were fabricated. One was arranged one large Sn reservoir in the center of wire, the other arranged several Sn reservoirs inthe wire. Diffusion of Sn is better in the strand divided Sn equally than in the strand had one large Sn reservoir during pre heat-treatment. Critical current was better in the wires divided Sn reservoirs uniformly after whole heat treatment.

  • 실리콘 웨이퍼 성장에 유리한 수평자장형 마그네트에는 saddle type, cylinder type 등 여러 가지 종류가 있다. 이러한 종류의 마그네트를 사양을 바꿔가며 균일도, 중심자장, 권선에 사용되는 선재량 등을 비교하였다. 해석 tool은 'opera-3d'을 사용하였으며, 기본적인 사양은 실제 System에서 요구되는 수치를 토대로 결정하였다. 본 연구를 토대로 12inch 단결정 성장을 위한 마그네트 종류와 사양 그리고 Cryostat의 기본적인 크기와 두께를 결정하게 되었다.

  • As the utility value of GPS in surveying field is on the increase after the conversion into the world geodetic system, it is attracting the interest of many people involved in the application of GPS. In this study an algorithm was established settling ambiguity through LAMBDA techniques and the baseline processing program was developed for L1/L2 carrier phase using visual c++ 6.0, which is an object-oriented language. And the developed program proved that it maintained a difference of less than 3mm over the short baseline of 1.5m or shorter when compared with other commercialized programs.

  • In this study, the levelling and the GPS levelling were carried out with 6 points in 2km${\times}$2km area and the results were analysed. As a result of this research, we had to observe more than 15 minutes to get the height accuracy of 10mm by single frequency GPS receiver in relative surveying. We could not get more better accuracy than 10mm. we could get the height accuracy of within 10mm from observing only more than 5 minutes by double frequency GPS receiver, and of within about 3mm from observing more than 10 minutes. When the number of fixed points is within 3, the level net adjustment result is very close to the one of direct levelling survey. When the number of fixed points is 3, the less the area of triangle the better the adjustment result, and the case of including measure point has more better accuracy than that of non-including measure point.

A Study on Brand of Mail-Order Clothing (Mail-Order의류제품의 브랜드에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the current brand of mail-order clothing, consumers' attitude over importance of brand and the effectiveness of brand when consumers purchase clothing by mail-order shopping. for this study, mail order catalogs were analyzed and the samples were collected through the questionaire distributed to 214 women. It was analyzed by SAS package. The results are as follows; 1. As a result of mail-order catalog analysis, domestic clothing included few famous brand except foreign brand. 2. The users of mail-order purchasing were old and married women comparably. They were also high clothing-expense users and housekeepers. Item that consumers wanted to buy using mail-order shopping were home-wear, night-wear, accessories and scarves which were involved low risks comparably. 3. Consumers regard brand significantly as a means of credit in purchasing mail-order shopping clothing. In analysis between importance of mail-order clothing brand and demographics, degree of education and clothing expense per month showed significant difference.

  • There is a growing interest to replace the commercial steels with non-heat treated steels, which does not involve the spheroidization and quenching-tempering treatment in the steel-wire industry production. However, non-heat treated steels should satisfy high strength and good formability without performing heat treatment. Therefore, it is important to investigate optimum materials showing a good combination of strength and formability after the cold drawing process. In this presentation, non-heat treated steel wire rod produced by POSCO will be introduced and discussed on detail technical concepts.

  • Multiple scale modeling has been applied to predict defect shape change during the wire rod rolling process. The size difference between bloom and defect prevent using usual FEM approaches due to the enormous number of elements required to depict the defect. The newly developed multiple scale model can visualize defect shape changes during the multi stands rolling process. The defect positioned at the top and side of bloom are smoothed out but the one at the middle evolved as folding or remained as crack. This approach can be used for defect control with roll shape design and initial bloom shape.

  • TiN 기판상에 CVD와 무전해 도금을 이용하여 구리막을 성장시킬 때 여러 가지 전처리에 따른 증착 양상의 변화에 관하여 조사하였다. Cu(hfac)2를 선재(precursor)로 사용하여 CVD 증착을 실시할 때 각 전처리에 따른 TiN상의 구리막의 덮힘성(coverage)향상은 Pd-HF 활성화 처리>>HF dip> RF remote plasma의 순이었다. 특히 Pd-HF 활성화 처리를 해줄 경우 거의 완전한 연속막을 얻을수 있었으며 scotch tape peel test 결과 매우 양호한 부착특성을 보였으나, 이에 비해 전처리를 해주지 않은 경우에는 오랜 시간이 경과되어도 연속막으로 성장하지 못하고 섬모양의 큰 결정립을 이룰 뿐이었다. 이러한 차이는 Pd-HF 활성화 처리에 의해 표면에 미세하게 형성된 Pd층이 구리의 핵생성과 부착특성을 크게 향상시켰기 때문인 것으로 사료되며 이러한 효과는 무전해 도금의 경우에도 마찬가지였다. 그리고 기판과 증착온도에 따른 선택성을 보면 35$0^{\circ}C$이하에서는 pd-HF 활성화 처리에 의해서 SiO2에 대하여 TiN으로의 선택성을 가지나 그 이상의 온도에서는 선택성이 상실되었다.
