  • In order to investigate the maneuverability of tug-barge, sea trial tests such as speed, acceleration/deceleration, $10^{\circ}$ turning, $20^{\circ}$ turning, $10^{\circ}/10^{\circ}$ zigzag and $20^{\circ}/20^{\circ}$ zigzag were conducted with both tug and tug-barge. From the result of turning test, longer tactical diameter and lower rate of turn of tug-barge than those of tug are obtained. From the result of the zigzag test, bigger overshoot angle of tug-barge than that of tug is obtained. When they turned or changed a course, it showed that the barge turned inner side of the trajectory of tug. For the safe navigation, the helmsman of tug-barge should be aware of these maneuvering characteristics.

  • A rudder roll control system is developed and analyzed to control yawing and rolling motion of ship in irregular waves. The 4-DOF maneuvering equations of motion are derived to carry out the simulation of the motion of a ship and the wave forces are considered as the external forces of a ship in the simulation. The wave forces in the time domain analysis are generated from the frequency transfer function calculated by 3-D source distribution method. The rudder roll control system is developed by linear combination of PD rudder controllers of yawing and rolling motion Rudder rate speed and Schilling rudder are considered to increase roll reduction efficiency.

  • Excessive yaw motion of a turret moored vessel was examined in this paper. The vessel was moored by an internal turret and catenary mooring lines. The experiments were conducted in regular waves. Turret moored vessel can oscillate from side to side or move to one particular direction, and eventually exhibit large yaw motion. The results showed that the excessive yaw occured for specific condition, ratio of wave lengths and vessel length. It was found that turret moored floating vessel was unstable for regular wave period from 14 to 18 sec and excessive yaw occurred to maximum 50 deg. The time series, trajectory, phase plot and qualitative analysis are performed. The analysis showed that the results of experiments agreed with the that of analytic method and the excessive yaw could be predicted by the stability analysis.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme for automatically detecting highlight scenes in soccer videos. Highlights are defined as shooting scenes and goal scenes. Through the analysis of soccer videos, we notice that most of highlight scenes are shown around the goal post area. It is also noticed that the TV camera zooms in a setter player or spectators after the highlight stones. Detection of highlight scenes for soccer videos consists of three steps. The first step is the extraction of the playing field using a statistical threshold. The second step is the detection of goal posts. In the final step, we detect a zooming of a soccer player or spectators by using connected component labeling of non-playing field. In order to evaluate the performance of our method, the precision and the recall are computed. Experimental results have shown the effectiveness of the proposed method, with 95.2% precision and 85.4% recall.

  • This study intends to figure out the relationship between autonomy and achievement motivation of the university players. For this purpose, Survey was performed to Seoul and Metropolitan area's 25 sports 396 Players., And using SPSS 18 and AMOS program descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis were conducted. Based on purified data through the process, the relationship between autonomy and achievement motivation was verified with correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result, autonomy was recognized by male player higher than female player, and in goal-orientation of the access tendency of achievement goal orientation, male player showed higher scores. And in mastery-avoidance of avoidance, female player showed higher scores and in performance-avoidance, male player showed higher scores. According to regression analysis, autonomy affects mastery-approach and achievement goal orientation of the performance-approach.

  • Different incident angles concerning ocean conditions and weather greatly influence small vessel navigation. Particularly for small vessels, different incident angles result in distinct motion characteristics closely related to stability. Based on actual coastal wave data, this study conducted simulations and experiments to analyze the motion characteristics of small vessels navigating in irregular waves. The analysis revealed that significant motions primarily occurred at lower speeds from the bow sea. In contrast, as the speed increased, the roll motions due to the bow sea decreased, but those due to the stern seas increased. Consequently, adjusting the incident wave angles according to vessel speed can enhance stability and navigational efficiency for small vessels.

  • In recent years, the number of video cameras that are used to record and broadcast live sporting events has increased, and selecting the shots with the best view from multiple cameras has been an actively researched topic. Existing approaches have assumed that the background in video is fixed. However, this paper proposes a best view selection method for cases in which the background is not fixed. In our study, an athlete of interest was recorded in video during motion with multiple cameras. Then, each frame from all cameras is analyzed for establishing rules to select the best view. The frames were selected using our system and are compared with what human viewers have indicated as being the most desirable. For the evaluation, we asked each of 20 non-specialists to pick the best and worst views. The set of the best views that were selected the most coincided with 54.5% of the frame selection using our proposed method. On the other hand, the set of views most selected as worst through human selection coincided with 9% of best view shots selected using our method, demonstrating the efficacy of our proposed method.

  • This study is to investigate the effect of Chinese university track and field athletes on their athletic commitment and performance. The men and women aged 19 or older were selected as a population for athletes from Hanam University, Jeongju University, and Hanam Normal University, and 1400 questionnaires were distributed using the Convenience sampling method. The results obtained by performing data processing are as follows. First, all factors had a statistically significant effect on performance in the effect of sub-factors of exercise commitment (cognitive commitment, behavioral commitment). Second, all factors had a statistically significant effect on the performance of the sub-factors of exercise commitment (cognitive commitment, behavioral commitment). Third, all factors had a statistically significant effect on the effect of sub-factors of exercise commitment (cognitive commitment, behavioral commitment) on concentration.

  • In this study, numerical hull form development of a platform supply vessel, a full scale with the overall length of 26.75m, was performed to predict a bare-hull resistance and a large scale of model tests with a 1/10 scaled model were conducted to verify the success of numerical results. Numerical analysis on heave and pitch motion as a function of encounter frequency and ship's speed for the prediction of seakeeping characteristics are also presented. The experiment results of resistance agreed well with numerical analysis. As a result in the motion response characteristics, the heave RAO indicates high values with the range of encounter frequency 1.8~2.0. The Pitch RAO indicates high motion response characteristics at Beaufort scale No. 3 and 4 in rough seas.

This subjects were randomly divided into two groups; a Isotonic Training group (n=7) Isotonic isometric complex Training group (n=7), Taekwondo athletes share each, 12 weeks between executes a motion. peak torque, H/Q ratio, bilateral muscular ratio muscular endurance of knee joint measured. For this study, two-way ANOVA with repeated measure were used. The result of this study presents between groups was not plain difference expressed. H/Q ratio, bilateral muscular ratio, muscular endurance was plain difference expressed after 12 weeks point of time (p>0.05) and peak torque was plain difference expressed (p<0.05). Conclusion each group did not appear all but one (peak torque), but point of view exercise was effect H/Q ratio, bilateral muscular ratio, muscular endurance, peak torque plain difference expressed.
