A Study on the Thermal Flow of Waste Heat Recovery Unit (WHRU) for Ship's Organic Rankine Cycle Power Generation System using CFD Method (CFD를 활용한 선박고온도차발전용 WHRU의 열유동 해석에 관한 연구)

  • The IMO (International Maritime Organization) is discussing the improvement of energy ef iciency of ships in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from ships. Currently, by applying an ORC power generation system using waste heat generated from ships, high energy conversion efficiency can be expected from ships. This technology uses an organic medium based on Freon or hydrocarbons as the working fluid, which evaporates at a lower temperature range than water. Through this, it is possible to generate steam (gas) and generate power at a low and low temperature relatively. In this study, the analysis of heat flow between the refrigerant and waste heat in the ORC power generation system, which is an organic Rankine cycle, is analyzed using 3D simulation techniques to determine the temperature change, velocity change, pressure change, and mass change of the fluid flowing of the WHRU (Waste Heat Recovery Unit) inside and the outside the structure. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the mass change affects the structure, and this study analyzed the heat transfer of the heat exchanger from the refrigerant and the exhaust gas of the ship's main engine in the ORC power generation system using this technique.

연안 여객선의 예매 및 발권시스템 구축에 관한 연구

  • 현재 연안여객선의 여객과 화물의 승선 예매 및 발권시스템은 타 교통수단에 비교하여 매우 부족하며 여객이 느끼는 실질적인 서비스 수준도 상대적으로 미흡하다는 평가를 받고 있다. 해양수산부 등 관련 기관에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 승선권 무인취급시스템 등을 구축하고자 노력하고 있으나 아직 부족한 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 여객 및 화물 정보를 QR-Code 등을 통하여 인식한 후, 선박 자체관리 프로그램 및 Web상에서 연동되는 선박예매/발권시스템을 구축하였다. 시스템의 Database 정보에는 승선객의 프로파일 정보, 중간기착지 방문 정보, 여객의 최초승선지 및 하선 정보, 화물 적양하 기록 등이 포함된다.

Experimental Study of the Wireless Communication System by Surface Wave Communication through Confined Spaces on Vessels (선박 밀폐 공간 무선통신 구현을 위한 표면파 통신의 선박 활용연구)

  • This study suggests surface wave communication, which uses a metal surface as a medium, to provide wireless communication in the extreme environment due to surrounding metal materials on vessels. The test was conducted on a G/T 265 tons tug boat to confirm the possibility of surface wave communication between a bridge and each designated space in the ship. As a result, the transmission speed was 13Mbps on average. In a test case of the bridge via the engine room, the transmission speed was 4.3Mbps on engine running and 1.2Mbps on sailing. It overcame this by partially changing the equipment installation location. Surface wave communication in bow storage, a fully enclosed space, had 8Mbps better transmission speed than wireless communication; this confirmed the superiority of surface wave communication in confined spaces on a vessel. Additional surface wave generators were designed and applied to resolve the paint issue. It is expected to use surface wave communication to implement the new wireless solution for Maritime-IoT system on vessels.

  • Although studies and investments on electro-magnetic fields in terrestrial areas are being conducted, they are not applied to a ship. Especially ship is consist of Top Side, Bridge, and Engine Room. Top Side is mounted Antenna and radar. Bridge is mounted navigation and navigation equipment that have a safe voyage. Finally, Engine Room is mounted switchboard and this is used to ship propulsion system. Therefore the purpose of this paper is for suggesting optimized standard to apply to marine environment through analyzing electromagnetic wave environment in ship. For this, we were measured EMF in Hanbada ship in Korea Maritime and Ocean University and we compared and analyzed to measured values in Korea standards and international standards. Consequently, Engine Room of ship for the identified that there are limits to apply. The proposed results of this research will be expected to utilize for establishing standard a plan for EMF in ship.

  • 해양안전심판원의 해양사고 통계자료에 따르면 기관손상 등을 제외한 해양사고 중 충돌사고의 비중은 가장 높고, 대부분의 충돌사고는 경계소흘 등 운항과실이 약 90%를 차지한다. 본 연구에서는 운항자의 항행 안전을 지원하고자 육상 무선 통신기술을 이용하여 중소형 선박의 충돌예방 시스템을 최종적으로 개발하기 위해 먼저 소형어선(30톤미만) 운항자의 요구분석을 수행하였다. 분석을 통해 충돌회피거리, 당직자 배치, 긴급피항시 필요시간, 충돌 및 경보시스템 개발에 필요한 사항 등을 도출하였다. 향후 이를 바탕으로 해상에서의 선박충돌 예방을 위한 신뢰성 높은 충돌경보 알고리즘을 개발 적용하는 등 사용자 편의적인 충돌경보 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 선박USN 정보 제공을 위한 응용서비스를 제안한다. 제안하는 응용서비스는 실시간모니터링서비스, 기본정보서비스, 해양네비게이션서비스, 환경설정서비스, 부가서비스로 구성된다. 실시간모니터링서비스는 선박의 주요기관과 장치로부터 수집된 선박 내부의 온도, 습도, 조도, 소리, 뒤틀림, 기울임 등의 상태정보를 사용자에게 수치와 그래프로 볼 수 있도록 하고, 또한 이상발생시 알림서비스를 제공한다. 기본정보서비스는 선박명, 선급, 승선인원 등 선박에 대한 기초적인 정보를 제공한다. 해양네비게이션서비스는 GPS를 사용하여 수집된 선박의 위치 정보 제공과 운항의 편리성을 위한 운항도우미서비스를 제공한다. 환경설정서비스는 모니터링 주기와 센싱 타이밍을 조절하기 위한 설정 기능을 제공한다. 부가서비스는 시스템에 사용자 편리성을 제고하기 위한 서비스이며, 날씨정보, 정비이력, 운항일지 등으로 구성된다. 이러한 응용서비스는 선박USN 모니터링시스템에 적용되어 선박 운항의 지식과 경험이 부족한 초보 운항자들이 편리하고 안전한 운항을 하도록 돕는 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on the Feasibility of Installing Solar Auxiliary Power for Small Fishing Boats (태양광 보조전원을 설치한 소형선박의 타당성 연구)

  • The South Korean fishing industry is experiencing a rapid growth owing to an increase in its leisure-fishing population. Consequently, fishing boats weighing 9-10 [ton] have also been increasing. Current fishing boats operate their essential equipment by switching their engines with batteries to reduce the cost of gas and engine noise. However, stranding incidents have been increasingly recorded annually, in which boats fail to start owing to discharged batteries, and these incidents can lead to serious casualties. This study proposes the installation of a solar auxiliary power system to safeguard fishing boats, particularly those weighing between 9-10 [ton]. The feasibility of securing space for the solar auxiliary power of boats under consideration was verified. To examine the application of solar power, this study calculates the load necessary to operate it for fishing and models such a system using an electricity analysis program The modeled system, which applies the monthly horizontal solar insolation, validated the adoption of a solar auxiliary power in fishing boats.

  • A ship propulsion thruster platform which is used by safety sailing takes charge of remote control of a main engine in ship. This system not only guarantees safety and reliable flight sailing but also require remote control technology of a ship. Accordingly, in this paper it deals with a telegraph lever control unit system which is a part of propulsion thruster system as localization technology. Also it makes sure of knowledge and core technology through analysis and designing and developing a telegraph lever control unit system. Moreover, it is sure of acquisition of base technology for integration of a ship propulsion thruster platform.
