Preprocessing Algorithm for Enhancement of Fingerprint Identification (지문이미지 인증률 향상을 위한 전처리 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes new preprocessing algorithm to extract minutiae in the process of fingerprint recognition. Fingerprint images quality enhancement is a topic phase to ensure good performance in a topic phase to ensure good performance in a Automatic Fingerprint Identification System(AFIS) based on minutiae matching. This paper proposes an algorithm to improve fingerprint image preprocessing to extract minutiae accurately based on directional filter. We improved the suitability of low quality fingerprint images to better suit fingerprint recognition by using valid ridge vector and ridge probability of fingerprint images. With the proposed fingerprint improvement algorithm, noise is removed and presumed ridges are more clearly ascertained. The algorithm is based on five step: computation of effective ridge vector, computation of ridge probability, noise reduction, ridge emphasis, and orientation compensation and frequency estimation. The performance of the proposed approach has been evaluated on two set of images: the first one is self collected using a capacitive semiconductor sensor and second one is DB3 database from Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC).

A Raster Image Scaling Method focused on Calligraphy (캘리그라피에 특화된 래스터 이미지 확대 방법)

  • Recently, calligraphy has become popular because people focused on emotion. The strokes, dots, swoops, cracks and shading are the calligraphy factors for expressing various emotions such as joy, anger, sorrow, and delight. However, the emotion which is expressed by cracks and shading can be destroyed in the digital work when the calligraphy is used for a variety sizes of prints. Professionals work with high-resolution images which are obtained through the scanner, however normal users should work with low-resolution images taken with the smart phone for calligraphy image editing. We propose a raster image scaling method focused on calligraphy that maintains the emotion with cracks and shading, when normal users use the low-resolution calligraphy images in the digital work. The method recolors aliasing boundary of enlarged rasterized image. When recolored by our method, our method decreases aliasing by using the image gradient method, vivify calligraphy images, and maintains the emotion in cracks and shading by using the alpha value.

A Study on Authentication using Image Synthesis (이미지 합성을 이용한 인증에 대한 연구)

  • This research develops an algorithm using image synthesis for a server to authenticate users and implements it. The server creates cards with random dots for users and distribute them to users. The server also manages information of the cards distributed to users. When there is an authentication request from a user, the server creates a server card based on information of the user' s card in real time and send it to the user. Different server card is generated for each authentication. Thus, the server card plays a role of one-time password challenge. The user overlaps his/her card with the server card and read an image(eg. a number with four digits) made up from them and inputs the image to the system. This is the authentication process. Keeping security level high, this paper proposes a technique to generate the image clearly and implements it.

  • MF(Morphological filter) is generally composed of several morphological operation, which are the diverse structuring element. The two basic operation are erosion and dilation. The two other operation, opening and closing, are defined based on these two operation. Performance of open-closing(OC) is better exellent than close-opening(CO) to reduce noise of image data with Gaussian noise. In this paper, to use the hybrid median filter in processing the image, is shown that hybrid median filter has better results image quality than other filters, to analyze by computer simulation.

  • 기존의 Al 합금 소재의 단점을 보완한 Al-Mg 합금 소재를 이용해 다이캐스팅으로 만들어진 핸드폰 케이스에 적용하고자 titanium 타겟을 사용한 반응성 스퍼터링 공정을 연구하였다. 코팅특성은 스펙트로포토 미터를 이용하여 색상분석을 하였고, 미세표면이미지는 FE-SEM을 이용하였다. DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링에 의한 착색코팅은 산소유량이 많은 경우 밝기 L*값이 더 커졌다. 색상의 편차와 재현성을 나타내주는 ${\Delta}E^*ab$ 값을 비교해보면, 모든 경우 ${\Delta}E^*ab^*$<1로 매우 우수한 색상균일성을 보여준다. FE-SEM에 의한 표면이미지는 전반적으로 산소유량이 많은 0.8SCCM에서 코팅한 경우보다 산소유량이 적은 0.375SCCM에서 코팅한 경우가 결정립계의 구별이 확실하고 결정립 모양이 선명하고 결정립크기도 증가함을 확인할 수 있다.

  • In this study, locality of scleroderma was detected. Diagnostic method is difficult for scleroderma (skin curing; Scleroderma), and it is done by comparing the images of the normal subjects to the scleroderma patients, after performing monochrome processing. The saturation, brightness, and contrast are adjusted, and they were converted by using the process of Well Filter. As a result, the images were able to be used to clearly distinguish the symptoms of scleroderma. In addition, in a video of a healthy person, the line of sight of the observation given the image of scleroderma patients above sea level of height as $0^{\circ}$ is to implement the closing process to the rear Well Filter even only in so that the horizontal plane, and out at intervals of graph the amplitude difference of the video have I asked. The diagnostic criteria were determined for the healthy subjects and the scleroderma patients.

  • In this paper a Super Multi-view display method using a pinhole array with full parallax was proposed. The proposed method was simulated and its parameters analyzed. Also, the distribution and irradiance of light through each pinhole on the retina receiver, according to the change of crystalline lens focal length, were found by simulation. As a result, an image free of blurring was obtained while the crystalline lens focused on the depth plane of the three-dimensional image created by the imaging lens.

Optimal Design Space Exploration of Multi-core Architecture for Real-time Lane Detection Algorithm (실시간 차선인식 알고리즘을 위한 최적의 멀티코어 아키텍처 디자인 공간 탐색)

  • This paper proposes a four-stage algorithm for detecting lanes on a driving car. In the first stage, it extracts region of interests in an image. In the second stage, it employs a median filter to remove noise. In the third stage, a binary algorithm is used to classify two classes of backgrond and foreground of an input image. Finally, an image erosion algorithm is utilized to obtain clear lanes by removing noises and edges remained after the binary process. However, the proposed lane detection algorithm requires high computational time. To address this issue, this paper presents a parallel implementation of a real-time line detection algorithm on a multi-core architecture. In addition, we implement and simulate 8 different processing element (PE) architectures to select an optimal PE architecture for the target application. Experimental results indicate that 40×40 PE architecture show the best performance, energy efficiency and area efficiency.

A Study on Canny Edge Detector Design Based on Image Fuzzification (이미지 퍼지화 기반 Canny 에지 검출기 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper suggests an approach to the subtle concept, "good", through the fuzzy logic and the design of the Canny edge detector of Gray scale images based on the rules of fuzzy anisotropic diffusion. The Canny edge detection algorithms design is to divide the gray levels into pixels and then calculate the diffusion coefficients at each pixel of non-edgy regions. Based on this processing, we present the Canny edge detector implementing fuzzy logic and comparing the results to other existing methods. The proposed approach is the narrow dynamic range of the gray-level image Sharpening the edge detection and has the advantage.

  • In order to enhance the productivity of mobile and develop reliable software, the test of mobile application software should be required absolutely. The most important way to communicate to users has been used to GUI. But GUI test method in mobile has no the test automation system except manual test by checklist. In this paper we present a test method and tool by image flow to reduce the time required and finds out errors to GUI, by carrying out the study on automatic GUI testing tool based on image flow to GUI test of mobile application.
