Performance analysis of legacy line communication using high current powerlines in midrange wind turbines (중형급 풍력 발전기내 전력선을 이용한 무배선 통신 성능분석)

  • This paper presents an implementation of a communication network in wind turbines, which exploits the power-line communication system (PLC). We used an inductive coupling unit and a multi-interface device to connect a data-communication terminal to the power line, to ensure that stable communication was possible at various electric current and voltage values of the generator. The results of the operation tests conducted on an operational wind turbine showed that the implemented PLC demonstrated a transmission rate of at least 43 Mbps with a 100% success rate. Moreover, a real-time image was transmitted. Thus, the system could be a useful alternative for implementing a communication network in wind turbines that does not require additional channels. Since the presented system is easy to implement, and can support various interfaces for data communication, it will be quite useful when a real-time monitoring system is launched in wind turbines.

Investigation and measurement of indoor low voltage powerline impedance for high data rate powerline communications (PLC) (고속 전력선 통신용 옥내 저전압 전력선 임피던스 측정 및 특성 연구)

  • Since powerline for powerline communications (PLC) is designed for supplying electric power using 60 Hz wave, they will have different electrical behaviors for high data rate PLC whose bandwidth is allocated between 1 MHz and 30 MHz. Thus, it is necessary to investigate the different properties in this frequency bandwidth for the high data rate PLC. In this paper, low voltage (220V) powerline impedance for indoor high data rate PLC in between 1 MHz and 30 MHz is measured. For measurement a low voltage coupling unit is made and a vector network analyzer is used. A T-equivalent circuit of the low voltage coupling unit is obtained and then powerline impedance is derived by measuring the reflection coefficient of the total powerline network. With the method proposed, impedance is measured in case of a general korean apartment and its property is analyzed. Measurement shows that the average impedance is about 100Ω.

Analysis of ELF Magnetic Field Reduction Ratio on Passive Loop Using Scale Down Model of Transmission Line (축소 모델을 이용한 수동 루프 송전선 자기장 저감율 분석)

  • In this research magnetic field reduction effect of each passive loop was analyzed by using the scale down models of transmission lines. This paper examined magnetic field reduction effect of the passive loop that will be applied to actual facility through the experiment, which is about double vertical transmission line and horizontal transmission line. Consequently, by confirming the fact that magnetic field reduction effect can be obtained to 50 % by passive loop without reactive compensation, we insured technology about application of passive loop. And the case of 3 turns of loop showed two times reduction effect than that of 1 turns of loop in reducing magnetic field. Vertical passive loop is more efficient than horizontal passive loop in the aspect of reducing magnetic field on double vertical transmission lines. What is more, vertical passive loop showed good effect of reducing magnetic field in a far distance as well as in a short distance.

A Study on the Geometry Change for the Increased Contact Wire Tension in the Pre-sagged Existing Catenary (사전 이도가 주어진 기설 전차선로에서 전차선 장력을 증가시켰을 때 전차선 기하학적 형상 변화 연구)

  • It is studied that the structure of the contact plane geometry of the contact wire would be changed when the contact wire tension is increased in the existing overhead contact lines for the purpose of improving the operation speed temporarily. In this paper, the dropper length formula which could be well applied to the pre-sagged catenary is reviewed first. Second, the changing amount of the pre-sag if the contact wire tension change from 20kN to 23kN or from 20kN to 25kN for the Gyeongbu HSL(high speed line) 49.5m catenary is evaluated by using of the self-written program in accordance with the dropper length formula. Moreover, the increasing tension and measuring the pre-sag change experiment in the Gyeongbu 2 HSL was conducted. The calculated data are compared with the measured data. As a result, it is found that the geometry change is very little and will not make the current collection performance deteriorated.

달궤도선 임무 해석을 위한 궤도전파기 개발 및 궤도선의 수명 분석

  • 미래 한국의 달궤도선 임무에 대비하여 달 근접 궤도 전파기인(orbit propagator) YSPLOP ver. 1(Yonsei Lunar Precise Orbit Propagator version 1)을 개발 하였다. 개발된 궤도 전파기의 성능은 상용 소프트웨어인 STK Astrogator를 이용하여 검증되었다. 개발된 궤도 전파기를 이용, 달 궤도선의 운용에 있어서 다양한 섭동력들이 궤도선의 수명(orbital decay)에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. YSPLOP ver. 1은 정밀한 달 중심 탐사선의 위치산출을 위하여 M-EME2000 (Moon-Centered, Earth Mean Equator and Equinox of J2000) 좌표계, M-MME2000 (Moon-Centered, Moon Mean Equator and IAU vector of epoch J2000) 좌표계 그리고 M-MEPMD (Moon-Centered, Moon Mean Equator and Prime Meridian) 좌표계를 이용하여 탐사선의 상태(state) 정보를 산출한다. 또한 태양, 지구, 달, 화성, 목성의 중력에 의한 섭동력 및 태양풍에 의한 영향을 포함할 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 달 근접 궤도선의 궤도 운동에 가장 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있는 섭동력인 달의 비대칭 중력장에 의한 영향 또한 고려하도록 하였다. 달의 비대칭 중력장 모델 (Lunipotential model)은 LP165p 모델이 사용되었으며 행성의 정밀한 위치 산출을 위하여 JPL의 DE405 천체력이 사용되었다. 개발된 궤도 전파기를 이용, 달고도 100 km, 궤도 경사각 $90^{\circ}$인 달 중심의 극궤도를 약 30일 동안 전파한 결과, YSPLOP ver. 1의 성능은 STK Astrogator와 비교하여 보았을 때 약 수 m의 오차를 보이는 것으로 확인되었다. 달의 극궤도 탐사선의 궤도 수명을 분석한 결과, 최소한 달의 비대칭 중력장이 70 by 70 이상으로 고려되어야 함을 확인하였으며 이때 달 궤도선의 수명은 약 160일으로 나타났다. 아울러 달 근접 환경에서의 지구 중력에 의한 섭동력은 달 궤도선의 운동에 있어서 무시 할 수 없는 정도의 많은 영향을 끼치고 있음을 확인하였다. 이 연구를 통하여 개발된 궤도 전파기는 미래 한국의 달 궤도선 및 착륙선의 임무 설계시 사용 될 수 있다. 또한 이 연구에서 제시된 달 근접 환경에서의 다양한 섭동력들이 달 궤도선의 운동에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석 결과는 추후 달 근접 임무 설계시 고려되어야 하는 섭동력들의 기본 사양을 제공할 것이다.

A Methodology for Monitoring Prestressed Force of Bridges Using OFS-embedded Stand (광섬유센서가 내장된 강연선을 이용한 교량의 장력 모니터링 방법)

  • This study proposes a novel method for in service evaluation of tension force of a prestressed 7-wire strand which is frequently employed for retrofitting bridge superstructure. The smart strand is made by replacing the straight king wire of the strand with an instrumented steel tube in which the FBG sensor is embedded. Since the strain of the smart strand can easily be measured using the sensor, it is possible to monitor tension force of the strand during the service. For the sake of demonstrating effectiveness of the proposed strand, we came up with a 7.0m long prototype with 2 FBG sensors, and it is applied as an external tendon to a 6.4m long and 0.6 high RC T-shaped beam. A loading-unloading test has been carried out, and estimated tension forces using the smart strand are compared with measured forces by load cell. The comparison showed that the proposed smart tendon is useful and accurate for monitering tension force of the prestressed tendon.

An Efficient Model and Algorithm to Allocate Rail Track Capacity Considering Line Plans (노선 계획을 고려한 철도 선로 용량 배분 최적화 모형 및 해법)

  • Recently, there is has been significant interest in the allocation systems of rail track capacities with considerations of the multiple train operating companies. The system indicates both a well-defined procedure and an algorithmic method to allocate the rail track capacities. Among them, this study considers the algorithmic method to derive the optimal timetable for the trains, which the companies propose together with their arrival and departure times at each station. However, most studies have focused on the adjustment of the departure and arrival times without conflicts, which could result in incompatible allocations with the line plan, which would result in an insufficient number of trains on each line to satisfy the demands. Our study presents a new optimization model and algorithm for the allocation problem in order to reflect the predetermined line plan. Furthermore, we provide the experimental results that were applied to the Korean high-speed railway network including the Suseo lines.

  • Recently, the Multi-Layer Restoration(MLR) algorithm was proposed by British Telecom(BT) to restore the network failures in Digital Cross-connect System(DCS) mesh survival network[1, 2]. This algorithm has multi restoration stage which is composed of the pre-planned and dynamic restoration. This algorithm is effective its ability in link or node failures. This reason is that it does not restore in the pre-planned rstoration stage but in dynamic restoration stage. In this paper, we propose the MLR with pre-planned Multi-Chooser(PMC) and successive restoration ratio algorithm. This proposed algorithm has a excellent performance for restortion time and ratio, spare channel availability and fast restoration from multiple link failure or node failure. This paper proposed the modeling and restoration algorithm, and analyzed the performance of the algorithm by simulation using OPNET(OPtimized Network Engineering Tools).

The Service Voltage Measurement and Analysis while TTX Runs (틸팅열차 운행 중 가선전압 계측 및 분석연구)

  • Recently, the Korea Tilting Express(TTX), "HANVIT 200", KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) developed runs for test on the conventional railroad, Honam line, Center line, Chunk-buk line and Tae-baek line. In this paper, we measured the service voltage while TTX ran on the conventional railroad and analyzed the condition of voltage. For measuring voltage directly, we installed PT under the pantograph and measured the voltage of the primary winding. In addition, we record situations that other trains pass by TTX and environments while TTX ran. And then we analyzed the condition of voltage using the records and CBEMA curve. In result, over 110[%] voltage of rated voltage(25[kV]) often occurred and the voltage of some place continued over 110[%] for about 200[s]. Especially, the voltage condition of Tae-baek line is the worst. The results in this paper can help to stabilize the power device and power converter of TTX.

Growth mode of ZnO nonostructure grown by MOCVD (MOCVD로 저온 성장된 ZnO 나노구조의 성장 모드)

  • 기능성 나노소자를 구현할 수 있는 나노 소재로 0차원 구조의 양자점(quantum dot)과 1차원 구조의 양자선 및 나노선(nanorod)이 제안되고 있다. 나노선의 경우 나노스케일의 dimension, 앙자 제한 효과, 탁월한 결정성, self-assembly, internal stress등 기존의 벌크형 소재에서 발견할 수 없는 새로운 기능성이 나타나고 있어서 바이오, 에너지, 구조, 전자, 센서 등의 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 현재 국내외적으로 널리 연구되고 있는 나노선으로는 Si 및 Ge, $SnO_2$, SiC, ZnO 등이 있으며 특히, ZnO는 우수한 물리적 전기적 특성과 함께 나노선으로의 합성이 비교적 쉬워 주목받고 있는 재료이다. ZnO의 합성방법으로는 thermal CVD, MOCVD, PLD, wet-chemistry 등 다양한 방법이 사용되고 있다. 특히 MOCVD 법은 수직 정렬된 ZnO 나노막대를 합성하기가 매우 용이하다. 본 실험에서는 자체개발된 MOCVD 장비를 이용한 일차원 ZnO 나노선을 성장하였다. 이러한 ZnO 나노선의 성장은 사파이어 기판과 실리콘 기판 위에서 이루어졌으며 기판의 종류와 격자상수 불일도에 따른 상이한 성장과정을 온도에 따른 나노선 성장에서 관찰할 수 있었다. 사파이어 기판의 경우, 240도의 온도에서는 박막형상을 지닌 ZnO가 온도가 320도 이상으로 상승하면서 나노선으로 변함을 보였고, 실리콘 기판의 경우 380도 이상에서 기울기률 가진 나노선을 관찰하였으며, 420도에서는 나노선을 관찰 할 수 없었다. 또한 PL 장비를 이용한 PL 강도와 성장과정을 연관하여 생각하였을 때, 나노선의 기물기가 PL 강도비과 연관성을 가진다는 것을 측정을 통해 확인하였다.
