Characteristics of Linearly Tapered Coupled Strip-Line Filters (선형테이퍼 결합 Strip 선로의 여파특성)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of linearly tapered strip-line filters, where the even-mode and odd-mode characteristic impedances vary linearly with the same degree along the lines, are analyzed. The Impedance parameters of linearly tapered coupled strip-line, which is made by connecting two linearly tapered unsymmetric coupled strip-lines In cascade and the I:no input and output terminals are made equal, are obtained. Using the above parameters, the Image parameters of linearly tapered coupled strip-line filters are derived. The result of analysis shows that the line length can be made shorter and also the stop-band width between the fundamental and second pass-band becomes wider, compared with the coupled strip-line filters which use uniform strip-lines. Furthermore, the difference of impedance levels in the fundsmental and second pass-band becomes larger with the degree of taper of the lines. This property is unique, in comparison with the case of uniform or exponentially tapered strip-line filters.

  • 본 논문에서는 선로 전력조류제약을 고려한 경제급전(SCED : Security-Constrained economic dispatch)에 내점 선형계획법을 이용하여 최적해를 구하는 문제를 다룬다. 최적전력조류(Optimal Power Flow)식으로부터 선로의 유효전력만을 근사화하여 선로 전력조류 제약을 고려할 경제급전(SCED)의 식을 정식화한다. 선형계획법을 적용하여 최적해를 구하기 위해서 발전기출력과 유효전력, 부하, 손실과의 관계를 이용하여 경제급전의 식을 선형화 하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 선형화 알고리즘은 목적함수로 계통 발전기의 총 연료비를 취하고 전력수급평형식으로 발전기출력증분에 대한 선로의 증분손실계수를 이용하며, 선로의 제약조건은 일반화발전 분배계수(GGDF : Generalized Generation Distribution Factor)를 이용하여 선형화한다. 최적화 기법으로서 내점법(Interior Point Method)을 적용하고자 하며 사례연구를 통하여 선형계획법 중 가장 많이 사용하는 심플렉스(Simplex)법과의 수렴특성을 비교하여 내점 법의 효용성을 확인하고자 한다.

The effects of Design Initial Condition on Renewal of Railway Existing Curves (철도 평면선형 개량시 설계초기조건이 미치는 영향)

  • The alignment modifications after completion of railway construction entail a lot of efforts and time as well as high additional costs. In the process of renewal of the existing railway alignment to offer higher-speed services, the effect of initial design parameters(e.g., intersection angle) on determination of allowable degree of improvement of horizontal curves under consideration of economic efficiency is investigated in this study. From the analysis results, in the case that there are obstacles at the tangent line, it was found that the larger angle of intersection has a significant effect on the permissible zone. In addition, as the intersection angle is increased, the permissible values of maximum curve radius and the length of transition curve becomes smaller and longer, respectively. It is expected that this study can contribute to the efficient and accurate prediction of the permissible zone according to the locations of obstacles and the size of intersection angle as well as improvement in the railway alignment without any additional costs.

  • In this paper, a method for determining the boundary conditions which derived from the random obstacles on the curves was presented. A simple computer program using this method is also developed. This determination method and program can be used for a good engineering tool in optimal curve design and an Radius-transition curve length $(R-L_t)$ combination within the permissible zone can be improved without any increased costs.

  • An effective approach to distributing budget to railway line facility improvement is to use investment priorities of railway line segments based on their deterioration. In this paper we present an evaluation method of railway line segment deterioration which can be used to distribute limited budget. Railway line facilities include rail track, railroad switch, subgrade, bridge, tunnel. These facilities and line shape can affect line segment deterioration. Deterioration evaluation method we present is a weighted sum of each component deterioration scores. The component weight can be obtained from experts using analytic hierarchy process.

Design of A Microstrip Linear Tapered Slot Antenna (마이크로스트립 선형 테이퍼형 슬롯 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, a microstrip linear tapered slot antenna is designed. A tapered slot antenna(TSA) has many advantages such as low profile, low weight, easy fabrication, and compatibility with monolithic microwave integrated circuits(MMIC). In addition, it has demonstrated multi octave bandwidth, moderately high gain, and symmetrical E- and H-plane beam patterns. A feed network is implemented with transition between a microstrip and a slot line for the microstrip linear tapered slot antenna. The transition is consist of two sides. One side has a microstrip line, the other side has a slot line. The dimensions of the microstrip and slot line are ${\lambda}_m/4$ and ${\lambda}_s/4$ at the center of the cross section of the microstrip and slot line. In order to get broad bandwidth antenna characteristics, the tapered length is chosen as $4{\lambda}_o$ and termination width is chosen as $1.75{\lambda}_o$. Experimental results show that the microstrip tapered slot antenna has symmetrical E- and H-plane beam patterns with around 5GHz of bandwidth at center frequency of 5.0GHz.

  • Time domain closed-form analytical solutions to the coupled telegrapher's equations for the voltage and current on a lossless multiconductor transmission line are presented. The resulting expressions are obtained in the form of exact time domain propagators operating on the line voltage and current. Time domain numerical methods are developed and examples showing exceptionally accurate results are obtained for uniform and nonuniform; symmetric and asymmetric strip lines.

  • This paper deals with the optimal operation algorithm of SVR(Step Voltage Regulator) which is located with primary feeders and proposes the optimal operation system to evaluate customer voltage. The existing algorithm of SVR adapts the constant sending voltage method, which may cause the power quality problems such as overvoltage and under voltage variations in case where the distributed generations are interconnected with the primary feeders. Therefore, this paper proposes the optimal algorithm of LDC method for SVR using least square method to obtain the optimal setting values. Also, this paper presents the optimal evaluation system based on the former algorithm. The simulation results according to the types and capacities of distributed generations shows the effectiveness.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내 고속철도 차량 즉, 경부고속철도를 운행하는 KTX, KTX산천 그리고 현재 개발중인 HEMU400x을 대상으로 운행속도 및 운행패턴에 따른 열차 소비전력을 분석하였다. 이를 위해, 선로조건을 고려한 차량의 운전속도 조건과 운행시간,소비전력 등을 예측하기 위한 TPS(Train Performance Simulation)프로그램을 이용하였다. 열차운행 시뮬레이션을 수행하기 위해선 차량, 선로, 속도의 기본 데이터를 필요로 한다. 차량에 대한 데이터는 차량의 최고속도, 제동성능, 견인력 등의 기본 성능과 열차편성에 따른 중량, 길이, 동력차량형식, 열차주행저항등에 대한 제원을 요한다. 선로데이터는 운행시간 예측을 대상으로 하는 선로에 대한 거리별 구배 및 선형, 정거장 위치 및 정차시간에 대한 데이터이다. 속도조건은 구배 및 곡선에 대한 선로제한속도로, 선로데이터와 연계하여 각 선로위치별 차량의 제한속도로 이용된다. 본 논문에서는 경부고속철도 구간에서 운행하는 고속차량 3가지를 대상으로 증속에 따른 전력소모량을 비교하였다.

  • Railway line segment deterioration can be affected by rail tracks, subgrades, bridges, tunnels, and line shapes. In this paper, an evaluation method is presented for the railway line segment deterioration using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and data envelopment analysis (DEA). The importance weights can be assessed systematically for component facilities from numerous experts using AHP. The importance weights provided by experts may differ according to each expert; however, the DEA enables the evaluation of railway line segment deterioration that reflects the variety of expert opinions using these importance weights.
