  • The study aims at verifying no generation of electrical power induced noise voltage on telecommunications lineside cable by analyzing the practical findings of noise voltage produced at the telecommunication lines in the vicinity of electrified high-speed railways like KTX, while proposing to make the current standard measurement circuit along with its measuring conditions revised in compliance with international ITU-T recommendations by identifiably finding out the present problems in balance level measuring instruments as well as their errors in the measurement method now applicable by local telecommunications companies and the Radio Research Laboratory.

  • This paper analyzed the voltage induction phenomena on the telecommunication lines by electromagnetic coupling from high-speed A.C. electrified railway. The induced common mode voltages and the induced differential mode voltage on the telecommunication line was measured by notified standard method in the regulation of Korea. The test lines consist of 2 separated lines of 20 m and 300 m in influence distance each for comparison, with 2km inducing length. The analysis is made on the induced voltages from the different influence distances and the different earthing points, and also on the waveform and spectrum distributions. It is proved that the induction is arisen so good and the measured values are fair enough against noise such as the earth voltage differencing, and the current measuring scheme is also rightful.

  • This paper presents a Interleaved Buck Converter(IBC) system with Random PWM to reduce electromagnetic noise by harmonics. Swithced mode power supply generally controlled by high switching frequency have a electromagnetic interference(EMI) issue due to the high-voltage/high-current switching to regulate the voltage in buck converter. To solve the problem. we present a novel IBC system with PRBS. IBC system has two active switches with 180 phase difference that controll the cicuit with two PWM signal. IBC system may be disadventageous for the cost due to the addtion of one set of switch, but it has adventages of power distribution, current ripple cancellation, fast transient response, and passive component size reduction. To verify the validity of study, simulation program has been bulit using PSIM and the experimental results of IBC system using RPWM was compared with the conventinal PWM and randomized PWM.
