Opinet is the system that has announced the daily domestic petroleum price data from April 2008. This study's goal is to examine if the domestic petroleum(gasoline and diesel) prices adjust their prices asymmetrically comparing before-Opinet with after-Opinet. The results of this study found the evidence of asymmetric domestic petroleum prices before the Opinet and the evidence of symmetric domestic petroleum prices after the Opinet. Also the domestic petroleum prices after the Opinet adjust upward/downward nearly twice as fast when its actual value is below/above its equilibrium. According to this study, the domestic petroleum market works more efficiently than before.

This paper investigates the relationship between the oil price and the major petroleum products prices at the trading hubs such as Singapore, North West Europe and the US New York Harbor. We focus on the lead-lag relationship between the weekly petroleum prices from 2009 to 2016 based on the vector error correction model. We find that the oil price leads the prices of petroleum products in the long term, while there is bidirectional causality in the short term. On the other hand, prices of petroleum products in regions with high import dependency, such as Europe gas oil and jet fuel price, are exogenous in the long term. We also present evidence that prices of petroleum products in region with a large global-market share lead prices in other regions. However, if the region is in an over-production situation and low industry concentration, it may lose its price leadership due to intense competition. The result in this study can provide a useful information to petroleum refining companies in forecasting fluctuations of product price, and hence in planning their regional arbitrage trading activities.

최근 국제유가는 미국 테러사태 이후 폭등할 것이라는 예상과는 달리 두바이유가 배럴당 20달러를 밑도는 등 하향안정세를 보이고 있습니다. 이는 국내 소요 원유 전량을 수입에 의존하고 있는 우리나라 입장에서는 다행이라 하지 않을 수 없겠습니다. 하지만 일반 시민들은 국제유가의 하락폭만큼 휘발유 등 국내유가 하락을 피부로 느끼지 못하는 실정입니다. 이러한 연유에는 국내유가가 국제가격을 즉시 반영하지 못하기 때문에 이밖에 환율 등 여러가지 가격결정 요소가 있기 때문입니다. 이에 일반 시민들의 이해를 돕고자 유가결정시스템을 다음과 같이 간략히 밝히고자 합니다.

정부는 25일 0시를 기해 휘발유와 등유의 소비자가격을 각각 $25{\%}$ 인상했다. 당초 금년 중에는 석유류 가격이 인상되지 않을 것이라 믿었던 소비자들은 갑작스런 발표에 크게 놀란 모습들이었다. 물론 경유, 벙커C유 등 산업용 석유제품 가격은 올리지 않았지만 석유제품 가격의 인상은 국민경제에 실로 엄청난 영향을 미친다. 유가의 인상은 건설부문의 생산원가 상승에도 영향을 미친다. 또한 거기에 따른 정책적 파급효과 역시 크다. 본 연구는 앞으로 예상되는 유가의 변동이 건설산업부문의 생산원가에 미치는 파급효과를 분석${\cdot}$고찰한다.

최근 우리회는 LPG수입사와 공동으로 "석유류제품의 시장가격차별화에 관한 연구"라는 제목의 연구용역을 산업연구원과 체결했다. 이번 용역은 당초 정부의 목표인 휘발유:경유:LPG간 상대가격비(100:75:60)가 최근 경제장관간담회에서 국제 수준으로 조정하는 것을 원칙으로 변경됨에 따라 경유 차량 이용자들의 반발 완화 차원에서 경유가격의 차별화 방안을 모색하여 정부측에 제시하고자 수행하게 됐다.
