서재필은 분명히 한국이 낳은 최초의 서양 의사다. 1세기 전 미국에 유학하여 처음으로 근대과학을 배운 인물이기 때문에 우리나라 근대과학의 선구자. 서재필은 20세기 조선조때 과거에 급제한 후 스승인 김옥균의 갑신정변에 가담했다가 망명길에 올라 미국 유학을 마치고 귀국하여 1896년 독립신문을 창간했다. 그는 이 독립신문을 통해 최초로 '박테리아'란 말과 함께 근대 의학을 소개한 과학자다.

The aim of this study is to examine who had participated as members of the editorial staffs and their role in the Independent. In spite of the historical significance of the Independent, this topic was not treated properly by related studies. Moreover many studies mainly based on the Philip Jaisohn's autobiography showed the tendency to overemphasize his role. This study tried to overcome the limitations of the existing studies by critical reinterpretation of the historical materials and some new documents. The result of this study shows that 9 persons participated in the Independent. They are Philip Jaisohn, Joo Si-kyung, Yoon Chi-ho, Homer B. Hulbert, Son Seung-yong, Lee Jun-il, Henry Gerhart Appenzeller, H. Emberley and George Cobb. Five person including Jaisohn were Koreans and the rest were foreigners. Hulbert took part in editing English edition confidentially during some month from the beginning. Son Seung-yong seems to be the only one man to participate from beginning to end. Lee Jun-il was not a editorial staff but a treasurer, and Cobb participated temporarily in proofreading. Hulbert and Cobb were not official staff.

A doctor's coat worn by Seo Jae-pil (1864-1951)-National Registered Cultural Heritage No. 607-was conserved with wet cleaning to remove thick wrinkles and brown stains that had been present for a long time. This paper also applied microscopic observation and infrared spectrophotometric analysis to obtain scientific investigation data on the cotton fabric of this doctor's coat. Information about Seo Jae-pil's time as a doctor, the process of changing his English name, and C.D.Williams & Co., which produced the medical coat, revealed that this doctor's coat was worn by Seo Jae-pil between 1892 and 1898 or 1926 and 1939. Additionally, this paper proposes a pad for filling relics that can protect the shape of modern and contemporary clothing, such as Seo Jae-pil's doctor's coat, for display at a museum site. Specifically, this research provides detailed information on the manufacturing of filling pads that can prevent damage to modern and contemporary jackets and coats so that they can be used in the cultural heritage field by developing filling materials for three-dimensional costume artifacts.

에너지저장장치, 태양광 발전기, 전기자동차 등 직류 사용설비의 급증으로 인해 직류 배전 혹은 직류 마이크로그리드에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 직류 배전은 전력변환을 최소화하여 효율이 높고 수변전 설비 공간이 절약되는 장점이 있다. 하지만 직류를 통해 계통에 연계된 부하와 설비들은 별도의 제어가 없으면 관성과 주파수-부하 반응을 제공할 수 없다. 따라서 직류 배전 투입이 늘어날수록 전력계통의 관성과 주파수-부하 반응이 감소하게 되어 계통 주파수 변동 발생 시 변동 속도와 크기가 증가하게 된다. 때문에 계통 운영자는 더 많은 주파수 조정 예비력을 확보하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 동요방정식을 이용하여 직류 배전 투입에 따라 계통 관성과 주파수-부하반응이 줄어듦에 따라 변하는 필요 주파수 조정 예비력 량을 계산하는 방법을 제시하고 있으며 MATLAB을 이용하여 직류배전 투입 비율에 따른 필요 주파수 조정 예비력 량 변화를 모의하였다.

A rare small cell carcinoma of the trachea was managed in a 59 year old female patient. The diagnosis was confirmed by histopathological and immunohistochemical studies. Surgical resection and adjuvant chemotherapy were done. The patient died 6 months later due to multiple metastasis.

Countries all over the world have been operating various certification systems to protect their consumers, and these systems have become trade barriers between countries. Also, KS and KCC were not designed to reflect characteristics of Geo-Spatial Information Device. The purpose of this study was to derive the plan of Quality Certification System for Geo-Spatial Information Device through the analyses of the existing Quality Certification System. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, we defined the concept of Quality Certification System for Geo-Spatial Information Device. Secondly, we set the boundary, factors and process of Quality Certification System for Geo-Spatial Information Device through classifying it in detail. Lastly, we suggested about fundamental concept of Quality Certification System for Geo-Spatial Information Device a the analyses of the existing Quality Certification System.

The purpose of this study is to provide the basics of effective Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School education by analyzing Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students' perceptions about their educational environment and school education. To achieve the purpose of this research, the study carried out a survey targeting 350 Fisheries and Merchant Marine High School students. The findings are as follows: First, the perceptions about instructions of department is generally positive. And they demand expansion of practice instruction. Second, the perceptions about curriculum is generally positive. And they demand field-experience learning. Third, the perceptions about school management and administration is generally positive. But they dissatisfied with considering their opinion about school management and administration. Fourth, the perceptions about counselling and personality guidance is generally positive. And the efforts to stop school violence are valued most positive. But the satisfaction in club activities is relatively low, so we need to come up with measure to increase club activities.
