  • 서울ㆍ경기지역은 한반도의 서부중앙지역으로 동경 126$^{\circ}$와 127$^{\circ}$, 북위 36$^{\circ}$와 38$^{\circ}$ 사이에 위치해 있으며, 면적은 서울 605$\textrm{km}^2$, 경기도 10,184$\textrm{km}^2$를 차지한다. 북쪽으로는 휴전선, 서쪽으로는 서해, 동쪽으로는 강원도, 남쪽으로는 충청도와 접하고 있으며 한강에 의해 남북지역으로 나뉘어져 한 수 이북은 산간지역이 한 수 이남지역에는 평야지대가 발달하고 있다. 지형은 대체로 추가령 구조곡을 경계로 북부산지와 남부산지로 나누어지는데, 북부는 중국 요동방향의 마식령산맥, 남부는 중국방향의 광주산맥과 차령산맥이 각각 그 골간을 이루고 있으며, 서쪽해안에 가까워질수록 고도가 낮아져 평야나 구릉성 산지로 바뀐다.(중략)

A Study on the Accessability of the Bikeway Networks in the South of the Han River Using Space Syntax (Space Syntax를 이용한 한강이남 자전거도로망의 접근성 분석)

  • In case of the axial line bikeway, the residents in the riverside use it frequently but those in the city center hardly do as the axis is formed along the riverside of the Han river. This situation happens due to the inefficient connectivity between the bikeway that leads to the riverside and that in the city center, which means the administrative policies have been focused on the facilities rather than on raising connectivity of the bikeway networks in the south of the Han River. Also, this is the point of time when a reasonable improvement plan is needed to raise the accessibilities of the bikeways in Seoul, not just a utilization of those in the south of the Han River. This study intends to analyse the connectivity between Gangseo (west of the Han River) and Gangdong (East of the Han River) districts by comparing the current spatial structure in the southern areas of the Han River and that after the installation of the axial line, and that after installation of the ordinary bikeway respectively with use of the Space Syntax Model, and to predict resultant changes there of. The Space Syntax Model was used as the major method of analysis in this study to find out characteristics of the bikeways in the south of the Han River. Consequently, as the analysis shows that when the bikeways in the Gangseo and Gangdong-gu districts are connected, the accessibility of the bikeways in the south of the Han River will improve while the spatial structure intelligibility will be lowered, it can be said the prediction rate in the all areas is low compared with the current status. It is analyzed that the intelligibility of the current bikeways in the south of the Han River appeared highest when compared with those of plans for installation of the axial line and ordinary bikeway because they don't interconnect with other areas.

The Homogeneous Regions and Functional Regions in the Internal Structure of Seoul (서울시 등질지역과 기능지역의 구조 분석)

  • This paper intends to identify the structure of homogeneous regions and functional regions in Seoul based on B.J.L. Berry's ‘general field theory of spatial behavior’. The structure of homogeneous regions by using socio-economic variables can explain how the structural elements of the city are arranged. It can be ssid that Seoul has shifted towards more complicated and differentiated features in terms of homogeneous regions. The different patterns are found between the northern part to Han River where old torn areas are located and the southern part to Han River where newly urbanized areas are located. Usually, the concentric pattern and the sectoral pattern coexist, which is enhanced moving from CBD to the outskirt area. The distribution of different social classes shows irregular pattern similar to the variation of living environment. The social gap is expected to be more widening between new towns and old towns. The analysis of spatial movement pattern shows no clear hierarchical order because of current shifts towards both multi-nuclear pattern and spatial dispersion. The functional regions show duplicated structure overlapping their boundaries each other. The ‘general field theory of spatial behavior’ strongly suggests that spatial interactions among sub-areas in the city are differentiated from the basic characteristics and function of each sub-area. The attributes of homogeneous regions and functional regions are interrelated in the characteristics of isomorphic nature.

The Characteristics of Metals and Fluorine Concentrations of Southern Parts In Seoul (서울 한강이남 지역의 용도별 토양 중금속 및 불소 농도 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 용도별 토양에 대찬 중금속 및 불소 농도 특성을 알아보기 위하여 비교적 오염 개연성이 구분될 것으로 판단되는 도로, 공장, 학교운동장, 적환장, 공원, 약수터 주변 등, 그동안 비교적 조사 자료가 부족하였던 토양을 대상으로 한강 남쪽에 위치한 11개 구청(양천구, 강서구, 구로구, 영등포구, 관악구, 동작구, 강남구, 강동구, 서초구)에서 6개의 용도별로 시료를 채취하여 pH, Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg, F 항목을 분석하였다. 조사 결과 용도별 토양의 pH는 4.7~9.5의 범위로 나타났으며, 중금속 및 불소 평균 농도는 Cd 0,391mg/kg, Cu 12.354mg/kg, Pb 13.04mg/kg, Hg 0.0866mg/kg, F 206.8mg/kg이었다. 용도별 토양에 대한 최대, 최저 농도는 Cd이 잡종지 0.632mg/kg, 학교용지 0.079mg/kg, Cu는 도로용지 21.354mg/kg, 학교용지 2.159mg/kg, Pb은 도로용지 24.70mg/kg, 학교용지 1.03mg/kg, Hg은 잡종지 0.1780mg/kg, 학교용지 0.0087mg/kg, F의 경우 임야 282.0mg/kg, 학교용지164.9mg/kg로 나타나서 전체적으로 Cd, Cu, Hg은 대부분 적환장으로 이용되고 있는 잡종지가, Pb은 도로용지에서 각각 높은 농도를 나타내었고, F는 임야 지역을 대상으로 한 토양에서 높은 농도를 보였다. 그러나 학교용지는 Cd, Cu Pb, Hg, F등에서 상대적으로 다른 용도별 토양보다 낮은 농도를 나타내었다.

A Study on the Characteristical Evaluation of Metals and Fluorine Concentrations in the Southern Part of Seoul (서울 한강이남 지역의 용도별 토양 중금속 및 불소 오염 평가)

  • This study performed from 2002 October to 2003 April. The samples were taken at 66 sites, divided into the 6 sections functionally in the southern part of Seoul such as Yangchon-gu, Kangseo-gu, Kuro-gu, Yeongdengpo-gu, Kwanak-gu, Dongjak-gu, Seocho-gu, Kangnam-gu, Songpa-gu, and Kangdong-gu. The result of research showed that each property soil was pH 4.7∼9.5, Cd; 0.391 mg/kg (0.011∼l.081 mg/kg). Cu; 12.35 mg/kg (0.061∼73.62 mg/kg), Pb; 13.04 mg/kg (N.D.∼61.85 mg/kg), Hg; 0.0866 mg/kg (N.D.∼1.353 mg/kg), F; 206.8 mg/kg(47.1∼561.1mg/kg). The minimum and maximum of the concentration with functional soils were Cd; 0.632 mg/kg for multi-purposed soil,0.079 mg/kg for schools, Cu; 21.35 mg/kg for roadside, 2.159 mg/kg for schools, Pb; 24.70 mg/kg for roadside, 1.030 mg/kg for schools, Hg; 0.1780 mg/kg for multi purposed, 0.0087 mg/kg for schools. Especially F was the high concentration at the hills. Also the concentration of Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg and F at school Zone was detected such as low. area of schools area was detected the low concentrations as the items of Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg, and F. The average concentrations of metals and fluorine in the survey area were below the Preliminary Standard of the Soil Preservation Acts in Korea. To evaluate the soil quality of these area showed as a good qualified results. The results of SQPI (Soil Quality Pollution Index the qualified results as much as 86.4%.

Variation Profiles of Temperature by Green Area of Apartments in Gangnam, Seoul (서울 강남지역 아파트단지의 녹지면적에 따른 온도변화 모형)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of green area in apartment complexes to variation of temperature. The inside temperature of each site was estimated by analyzing Landsat ETM+ image data. The factors on variation of temperature were landcover type, building density, and Normalised Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI). The results of correlation between inside temperature of apartment complex and land cover type showed that the green area ratio had negative(-) correlation and impermeable pavement ratio had positive(+) correlation. Building-to-land ratio was not significant with inside temperature. A coefficient of correlation between the temperature value and the value of permeable pavement ratio added up green area ratio was higher than a coefficient of correlation between the temperature value and the value of permeable pavement ratio added up impermeable pavement ratio. Thus we may define that permeable pavement area decrease urban temperature with green area in apartment complex. Floor area ratio had no significant correlation with inside temperature. Inside temperature was decreased as the NDVI was increased. To establish the temperature distribution model in a development apartment complex, As the result of regression analysis between inside temperature as dependent variable and permeable pave ratio+green area ratio, green area ratio, building-to-land ratio and NDIT as independent variables, only permeable pavement ratio added up green area ratio of the independent variables was accepted fur regression equation in both two seasons and adjusted coefficient of determination was 41.4 on September, 2000 and 40.4 on June,2001.

Analysis of Traffic Accidents Injury Severity in Seoul using Decision Trees and Spatiotemporal Data Visualization (의사결정나무와 시공간 시각화를 통한 서울시 교통사고 심각도 요인 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the main factors influencing the severity of traffic accidents and to visualize spatiotemporal characteristics of traffic accidents in Seoul. To do this, we collected the traffic accident data that occurred in Seoul for four years from 2012 to 2015, and classified as slight, serious, and death traffic accidents according to the severity of traffic accidents. The analysis of spatiotemporal characteristics of traffic accidents was performed by kernel density analysis, hotspot analysis, space time cube analysis, and Emerging HotSpot Analysis. The factors affecting the severity of traffic accidents were analyzed using decision tree model. The results show that traffic accidents in Seoul are more frequent in suburbs than in central areas. Especially, traffic accidents concentrated in some commercial and entertainment areas in Seocho and Gangnam, and the traffic accidents were more and more intense over time. In the case of death traffic accidents, there were statistically significant hotspot areas in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Guro-gu, Jongno-gu, Jung-gu and Seongbuk. However, hotspots of death traffic accidents by time zone resulted in different patterns. In terms of traffic accident severity, the type of accident is the most important factor. The type of the road, the type of the vehicle, the time of the traffic accident, and the type of the violation of the regulations were ranked in order of importance. Regarding decision rules that cause serious traffic accidents, in case of van or truck, there is a high probability that a serious traffic accident will occur at a place where the width of the road is wide and the vehicle speed is high. In case of bicycle, car, motorcycle or the others there is a high probability that a serious traffic accident will occur under the same circumstances in the dawn time.

Study on the Planting Index of School Forest - The Case of Gyeonggido - (학교숲 조성지표에 관한 연구 - 경기도를 중심으로 -)

  • This study was carried out in order to propose a planning index for improved school forests in Gyeonggido. For the purpose of this study we selected 42 out of 75 school forests established during 2005 in Gyeonggido. All 42 school forests were surveyed and analyzed by frequency, cross tabulation, and group average analysis with SPSS 12.0 version. The present condition of the school forests was analyzed with in conjunction with items such as the surrounding environment, centralization, and locational characteristics as nominal points. Other items: trees, shrubs, pavement, fruit trees, transplantation, evergreen trees, and recreation facility content percentage were analyzed as a proportion point. After reviewing the literature and analyzing the present condition of school forests, we constructed a conceptual framework and formulated a hypothesis for this research. Data were obtained through a questionnaire, given to 98 students majoring in landscape architecture at Hankyong University in 2007. Results showed that the primary variables for tree health were soil compaction and the depth of soil filling. They were the most serious factors that deteriorate the health of trees. Based on the relationship between tree health and growing conditions, trees inside the school forest should be managed to provide more growing space and less abuse. The minimum area for trees inside the school forest for good growth conditions should be within the drip lines. We have found that the minimum percentage of tree content is 0.13, which means that more than 130 trees need to be planted over $1,000m^2$ green space. More than 3,580 shrubs need to be planted over $1,000m^2$ green space. The pavement area should be controlled to less than 19% of the total size of the school forest area. Finally, more than 39 trees out of 100 trees planted should be evergreen. The research results suggest that the construction planning index of Gyeonggido school forest be recommended in the planning and development process of the construction project carried out every year.
