  • In the recent railway construction, the concrete slab track is highlighted as the maintenance-free track and the main stream is moving from ballasted track to concrete slab track. However, in spite of many merits of concrete slab track, the higher noise generated from the concrete slab track is a troublesome question to solve and, by this reason, many studies on noise reduction of concrete slab track are carried out. The railway noise can be classified into the reflection noise emitted from wheel/rail contact and the structure-borne noise transmitted through railway structures. In this presentation, we would like to introduce an example of the successful reduction of structure-borne noise at track retrofitting to maintenance-free concrete slab track in elevated Changdong Station which was built with ballasted track on Rahmen structure.

  • This study examined the procedures and legal issues for introduction and current Salary-structures and methods for system introductions centered around Seoul Metro which is railway related public company along with the background on introducing Salary-peak system and national/international situations according to the changes in paradigms. Base on these, the study deduced presented plans for improving corporate competitiveness by the introduction of Salary-peak system such as target for applications and ages for Salary-peak and the rate of fall, plans for adjusting duties to present optimum plans according to the introduction of Seoul Metro Salary-peak System.

  • Seoul Metro is celebrating 32 anniversary this year and through developments over the years it is being evaluated as the 3rd in the world in operational sizes, the 4th in the world in facility sizes, it transports about 4 million passengers per day and it is now a vital public transportation means. However, the track maintenance organization and manpower structures along with technology cooperative office were led by unions that do not like changes and overshadows the trends of changes by expanding organizations and recruiting personnels and it is going against the current of times. Thus, it is time when a break point is required for breaking away from labor-intensive methods of the past that rely on hand works and vertical organizational structures. Therefore, this study investigates the states of national.international track maintenance operations and examines and analyzes the problems so that it can be utilized as base data for efficiently operating the organizations and maintenance works on track fields.

  • Recently, the Seoul Metro has replaced the old series of Line No.2 and 3 to the new ones. In spite of the replacement, the new ones are more likely to be slippery compared to the old ones. Because the subway system has such short intervals, delayed subways influence the whole line systems, especially during the rush hours. And the slip causes the delay. Therefore we are willing to find out the reason why the new ones are more defective and we will try to mince it from the view of mechanical aspects and handling aspects of driving.

  • This research paper is to analyze the specific situation for the 157 failure cases of Seoul Metro power cable since 1990 and to consider the countermeasures. This is, also, to prevent accidents by analyzing the current state of each Line, the failure of causes, railroad tracks, installation year, opening year, and monthly failure conditions and by presenting the countermeasures. In addition, this research is to discuss the present installation situation of Seoul Metro power cable, the types of power cable, symptoms, causes and the countermeasures.

  • Urban railway carries large numbers of passengers during the rush hour. According to the announcement of Ministry of Land Transport and Maritime Affairs(MLTM), 221% of the congestion rate is reported in the SeoulMetro No.2 outer circle line from sadang to bangbea between eight and nine o'clock in the morning. This study analyzes the cause of the client's dissatisfaction about SeoulMetro such as the train delay, and decides the preference rank of the alternatives for congestion alleviation and enhancement of the transport capacity using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).

  • The recent environmental protection trend requires more strict energy saving, therefore every transportation system should reduce energy consumption to the minimum value. High-efficiency operation system, energy saving and CO2 emissions shall be addressed as important issue in railway system. These issues are the most essential factors of railway, compared to major public transportation system. Recently, saving energy in the electric railway system has been studied. For such new energy saving, the Energy storage system is considered for saving energy. Energy saving is possible by efficient use of regenerated energy. Regenerated energy is recycled amongst vehicles by mean of charge and discharge corresponding to powering and braking of electric vehicle operations. This energy saving contributes to cut CO2 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling regenerated energy demonstrate significant effect on peak cut of consumption energy in railway substation. Absorption of excess energy avoids regeneration failure due to high traction voltage. This paper presents effects by applying the energy storage system to SeoulMetro Line 2.

  • 현대의 도시철도차량은 부품과 시스템이 복잡하고 첨단화되어 고장관리 또한 과학적이고 체계적인 접근이 반드시 수행되어야 한다. 고장모드 및 영향분석(FMEA)은 설계의 불완전성이나 사용 중에 일어날 수 있는 잠재적 결함을 알아내기 위해 구성요소의 고장 형태와 그 상위 시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 기법으로 개선대책을 수립하여 신뢰도를 향상시키는 목적이며, 특히, 시스템에 큰 영향을 미치는 치명도를 중시하는 경우는 고장모드 및 영향, 치명도 분석(FMECA)이라는 기법을 사용한다. 철도차량의 경우 FMEA는 최근 차량시스템에 대한 신뢰성 개념을 도입하면서부터 설계 및 제작단계에서 발생 가능한 위험요인과 고장을 제거하기 위한 분석기법으로 활발히 활용되어 왔으나, 철도차량의 유지보수에 있어서 FMEA 기법은 연구 및 활용이 미미한 실정이다. 서울메트로에서 운영 중인 차량도 최근 도입된 신조차를 제외하고는 설계 및 생산단계의 FMEA가 수행되지 못하였다. 이에 본 논문은 1호선에서 운용되는 차량의 주요 장치인 벨트식 출입문에 대하여 서울메트로에서 운영 중인 차량분야 정보화시스템(RIMS)에 축적된 고장 및 유지보수데이터를 분석하여 FMECA 절차에 따른 적용방안을 제시하고자 하였으며, 특히, 고장 시 고객들의 안전과 만족도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 출입문전자변과 도어연동 스위치, 도어엔진 장치에 대한 FMECA 관련 세부적 사항까지 접근하고자 하였다.

  • Seoul Metro railway facilities' inspection and maintenance tasks cause failure analysis, but if there is trouble the diverse cause investigation and the systematic analysis and management among broken facilities, related facilities and components fell short and the conditions are different. And, excess and insufficiency, under inspection and maintenance, is being raised regardless of the introduction year and the operating environment including the number of use by applying the same facilities in the uniform inspection cycle. In this study, we will analysis systematically facility system information, failures, operational status, performance, fault and maintenance information resulting from the maintenance management of railway facilities and derive the relationship between associated equipment and its components. In addition, optimizing the inspection and the maintenance cycles of railway facilities, we will improve the reliability of operation. Considering the probability of risk, it is possible to predict the occurrence of accidents or faults and to minimize the frequency of breakdown by pre-inspection maintenance. Finally, This paper is to introduce the content of constructing the Seoul Metro RCM-based failure analysis system for railway facilities to support the optimal continuance of operation status of equipments and the securement of the safe operation of vehicles.

지하철 역사 공기질 모니터링 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System for Subway Stations)

  • 지하철 역사의 미세먼지농도는 지하철 승객의 건강을 위해서 항상 모니터링되고 관리되어야 한다. 서울메트로와 서울도시철도공사는 몇몇 공기 오염물질을 주기적으로 측정하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 지하철 역사의 $PM_{10}$ 농도를 연속해서 측정하기 위해, 선형회귀분석법을 이용하여 저가의 광산란식 미세먼지측정기의 성능을 향상시키고자 하였다. 이와 더불어, 지하철 역사의 대합실, 승강장, 터널, 외기의 $PM_{10}$, $CO_2$. 습도, 온도 등을 측정하고 기록하기 위해 CDMA M2M 기법을 적용한 무선통신 모니터링 시스템을 구축하였다.
