A Study on the Design of Network Management Architecture based on TMN Concept (TMN 개념을 응용한 통신망 관리구조 설계에 관한 연구)

  • With the evolution of telecommunications network, the operational enviroments of a morden telecommunication network are becoming more complex and diverse. Therefore. the design of NMA( Network Management Aechitecture) that pursues standardization and openness in order to accommodatae them actively will be required. In such a network environment which composes various and heterogeneous network elements, it is not easy to surpport efficiently TMN MSs(Management Services) because it has lack of interoperability among them. This paper proposes a top-down approach being taken to design a network management architecture with establishing the hierarchical relationships of management services based on ITU-TS(Telecommunication Standardization in Europe) TMN concept, and allocating MSC(Management Service Component) by TMN management layer, and analyzing the information flow between FAs(Functional Areas).

Impact of Relationship Quality and Attribution on Service Recovery Expectation and Word of Mouth (관계 품질과 귀인이 서비스 복구 기대와 구전에 미치는 영향)

  • The relationship quality and recovery of service failures perceived by consumers play an essential role in affecting the service provider's image and sales in terms of the highly involved service industry. In particular, implementation of successful relationship marketing strategies and effective recovery of service failures provide greater satisfaction for customers expecting customized services and reinforce the relationships between the companies and consumers. Based on these previous studies, this research conducted to find out the causal relationship between the variables influencing service recovery expectations and word of mouth(WOM) by approaching the severity of service failures from the perspective of relationship marketing and attribution theory. For the empirical analysis of this research, we conducted a questionnaire surveys of 360 service users of beauty salons, who have experienced in high-involvement services, and utilized 333 questionnaires for the final analysis. The hypothesis was experimented using the Structural Equation Model(SEM), and the results are as follows. First, we identified that the higher the customer perceived the severity of the service failure, the lower the quality of the relationship. Second, we verified that service users observed service failure as a temporary and uncontrollable factor as they distinguished service quality as higher. Third, the hypothesis that customers recognize service failures as a temporary one has a positive impact on service recovery expectation level is determined through empirical analysis. Forth, it was figured out that the higher the perceived quality of the relationship with the service provider, the higher the service recovery level expected by the consumers. At the same time, the hypothesis that optimism for service recovery expectation affects positive word of mouth has been verified. The results of this study help develop the customer-oriented business model of the service companies. Furthermore, the academic significance in that it suggested a new direction for the research of high-involvement service marketing.

  • It is well known that estimating the system processing time and cost at the early stage of the software system development is very important, and many Petri net methods of analysing processing time have been published. In another field of computer science, web service has been widely studied as a key of an efficient application software development method. Considering these two phenomena, this paper introduces a Petri net method of analysing the process time of application software consisting of web services. It is not plausible to represent the process time of a web application system as a constant. Therefore, we propose to use "Petri net with queues" to represent a web application system. The main contribution of this paper is to introduce a method of analysing a "Petri net with queues".

  • The current healthcare information systems field demand for healthcare construction and operation of various systems. Therefore, the budget is constantly increasing for information systems. But the current system have been lack of data that provide real-time issues. Because standardization and real-time networks are not configured. In this paper, proposed web services-based integration of information systems about healthcare sector. Web Services as the primary means to pursue integration SOA(Service Oriented Architecture). SOA could add new requirements without significantly altering the existing system. And SOA is an important model that can quickly adapt to the environment in healthcare field of changing rapidly. In this paper, the healthcare sector based on SOA design and implement an integrated information system. The integrated information system is proving to be a suitable model based on web service platform for healthcare data and service integration.

  • The current technological revolution pushes forward the innovation in the library information systems. This study proposes functional requirements and an architectural reference model of Semantic Library, recognized as a prototype of next-generation library information systems, that is a seamless convergence of the library information systems and the Internet technologies. Semantic Library can realize semantic interoperability and integration based on ontology and metadata, and also renovate information services for users with openness, sharing, participation and collaboration. Semantic Library will be effectively implemented by means of service-oriented architecture and the logical structure of FRBR. In this study, a reference model of Semantic Library consisting of 6 horizontal layers and 3 vertical elements is presented as a next-generation model of library information systems.

  • There are several types of distributed subscribers network using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL), and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS), The efficient and concentrated network management of those several distributed subscribers networks and resources require the general information model of network, which has abstract and conceptional managed objects independent of type of network and its equipment to manage the integrated subscriber network, This paper presents the general Internet subscribers network modeling framework using RM-ODP (Reference Model Open Distributed Processing) to manage that network In the form of integrated hierarchy, This paper adopts the object-oriented development methodology with UML (Unified Modeling Language) and designs and implements the HFC network of DOCSIS as an example of the subscriber network.

  • Object-oriented and distributed processing methods are adopted next -generation telecommunications management architecture. In this paper, we design and implement gradual federation function on connection management system providing connection services to transport network for interworking and encapsulated trader and gateway function for testing interoperability of these service objects between distributed processing environments. These techniques are practically applicable to support interworking between heterogeneous management network systems according to a tendency of integrating telecommunications management systems.

  • Recently, the 'mobility' is one of the essential item in the field of IT. This means that 'mobility' are good mediators to get collecting user's behavior and provide freedom of mobility service for user's. This paper is proposed a mobility process orchestration(MPO) model that provide multimedia to various devices. The orchestration model provides the structure and function that can be objectify a physical devices in a user's environment to provide orchestrated service of various devices to user using a concept of MSMP(Multi Source Multi Platform). Also, using the concept of Choreography can be extracted appropriate device of the various media formats for harmonious service.

  • 30여 년 전에 연구망으로서 개발이 시작된 인터넷은 현재 사회의 공공 인프라로서의 역할로 기능이 확장되면서 이동성, QoS 지원, 보안성 등을 고려한 점진적 개선이 이루어져 왔다. 그러나, 이러한 점진적 개선 방법의 한계성 때문에 현재의 인터넷 구조가 향후 $20{\sim}30$년 후의 미래사회의 인프라로서도 적합할 것인가에 대한 의구심이 생기기 시작하였다. 이에 따라, 기존 인터넷과의 호환성을 고려하지 않고, 처음부터 현재 및 미래서비스의 요구사항에 기반하여 네트워크를 새로 설계하고자 하는 "미래인터넷" 연구가 시작되었다. 미래인터넷에 대한 연구는 아직 초기단계로서, 거시적 목표를 위해 다양한 네트워크 아키텍처들이 제시되고 있는데, 본 고에서는 미래인터넷의 등장 배경과 지향점, 각국의 연구 현황을 살펴보고, 미래인터넷 아키텍처에 대한 연구자들의 다양한 아이디어를 주요 이슈별로 소개하고자 한다.
