An Empirical Study on the Determinants of Customer Renewal Behavior for Tire Rental Servitization (제조기업의 서비스화 제공 형태와 고객 특성이 재계약에 미치는 요인에 관한 실증 연구: 타이어 렌탈 중심으로)

  • Servitization presents an innovative model to create business value in the automotive industries. This study set out to introduce a servitization model based on the rental business of the tire industry and identify determinants to affect the renewal of contracts around the service types of servitization and the characteristics of customers. Independent variables include the service types, demographics and regions, and inflow channels in 163,742 contracts by case companies in the nation in 2016~2019 with the renewal of contracts as a dependent variable. Correlations between variables were analyzed through cross-tabulation and binary logistic regression analysis. The findings show that the contract renewal rate had positive(+) relations with customized service and negative(-) ones with vehicle maintenance service. There were differences in the contract renewal rate according to such customer characteristics as gender and region, but no clear correlations were found in the age group and vehicle type(domestic/foreign). Of the inflow channels, offline channels tended to have a higher renewal rate than online channels. At open malls, contract renewal increased by 8.4 times due to contract switches at offline channels. Based on these findings, the study discussed directions for practical strategies with regard to the development of new service, implementation of customer-centric servitization, and management of sales channels according to the servitization of manufacturers.

변전소 인텔리전트화의 동향

  • 전력 규제완화, 지구환경문제 등의 사회환경 변화와 IT화를 비롯한 기술혁신으로 전력시스템을 둘러싼 환경이 크게 변화하고 있다. 이러한 동향을 두 개의 축으로 구분하여 분석해 보고자 한다. 하나의 축은 사회제도의 변화축이고 또 하나의 축은 전력의 공급측과 수용가측으로의 분류이다. 이 두 개의 축으로 나눌 수 있는 4개의 분야별로 새로운 비즈니스 동향과 그에 맞는 기술개발의 방향을 소개한다. 전력거래를 위한 시스템 개발, 수용가토털서비스의 인프라 만들기, ESCO 등의 에너지절약 비즈니스. 기설기기의 라이프사이클을 통한 코스트다운 등이 각 분야에 대응한 니즈라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 가운데 전력시스템을 구성하는 네트워크 중 노드에 해당하는 변전소의 역할에 대한 변혁이 요구되고 있으며, 사회적 니즈인 라이프사이클을 통한 코스트다운을 지향한 변전소의 설계를 실시하기로 하였다. 기기의 코스트는 주어진 기능수에 대하여 비선형 특성을 갖고 있다. 그 때문에 기능 삭감에 의한 코스트다운은 참뜻의 코스트저감으로 이어지는 것은 아니다. 필요한 기능만을 쌓아올리는 설계가 필요하다. 이제까지, 하드웨어만으로 구성되어 있던 변전소에 소프트웨어를 도입하여 시스템으로서의 인텔리전스를 부가하도록 요망되고 있다. 어디까지 소프트웨어를 늘릴 수 있는지 그 최적화도 검토하고 있다. 변전소의 인텔리전트화의 니즈를 살펴보았다.

  • 2020년대에는, 7조개의 스마트 디바이스의 급증, 70억의 인구, 새로운 고품질 매체에 대한 요구가 급증하면서, 새로운 이동통신 환경 및 비즈니스 모델의 변화에 대한 선제대응이 필요하고, 현재 셀률라의 1000배의 용량, 사용자당 Gbps 서비스, 그리고 사용자당 1000분의 1의 에너지효율을 높이면서도, 사용자와 인터액션과 감성을 만족시키는 서비스에 대한 선도적인 연구개발이 필요하다. 이를 통해서, 현재 이동 통신 사업자들의 투자 대비 수익 감소에 따른 불합리한 투자 및 수익 구조를 개선할 수 있을 것으로 예상한다. 이러한 기술을 바탕으로 5G 이동통신 네트워크는 Early Adpater 시장뿐 아니라, 보편적 모바일 핵심 인프라기반으로 미래의 사회 문제를 해결하고 지식의 양극화를 적은 비용으로 해소할 수 있어야 하며, 또한 창조지식 국가 실현을 위한 성장엔진으로, 새로운 혁신 산업 및 지식산업의 생태계를 창조함으로서, 산업 육성 패러다임의 역할을 할 수 있어야 한다. 본 고에서는 이동통신 환경 및 서비스 변화를 예측하면서, 5G 이동통신에서 실현해야 할 이동통신 기술의 비젼과 그 추진 전략에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 그 구체적인 추진 전략으로서 국가 정책 및 연구 개발 활성화 방안을 수립하고, 그 실행을 위한 민관 연합의 협력 기구인 5G 포럼의 구성과 역할에 대해서 살펴본다.

  • Mobile technology-supported services have become one of the inevitable parts of present people's lives and mobile business have been spreading remarkably fast. This study is to find out key parts for popularizing mobile banking services by clarifying mobile banking acceptance factors and to get some practical tips for service providers and users. The results show that innovation and functional risk are found to have a significant effect on the use intention. And social influence and institution-based trust factors are found to have a strong positive effect on use intention.

  • The appearance of on-demand business model of multimedia contents is one of the biggest changes in the broadband Internet which aims at the high-speed Internet users. Currently the interest in the webcasting service, a new converged service of the broadcasting and the telecommunications, has been increased. However the quality of service is not guaranteed due to the bottleneck problem in a middle-mile as the fundamental limit of the Internet, and has not been improved greatly due to the small-scaled operators of the webcasting services. This study suggests a new business model of the multi-channel satellite webcasting service based on the satellite multicasting and content delivery network, which guarantees the quality of service and channelizes the contents by the type or by the special purpose.

  • Fablab is a global network of digital fabrication facilities. Fablab is a digital workshop for individual manufacturing. In addition, Fablab is a next-generation digital infrastructure that connects education, training, R&D and production. The Fablab is a facility lab that makes the products you want, and it is a space where users-led products or services are discovered for the community. Furthermore, through various citizen-led projects, it is playing the role of innovation that changes the region and society. In this study, we examine the operating conditions of Fablabs in Korea and Japan (Fablab Seoul, Fablab Busan, Fablab Kamakura and Fablab Kitakagaya). It also explores the business model and sustainable development potential of each fablab. To this end, first, we compare and analyze the use of fablabs in both countries. Second, the purpose of the fablabs of both countries is analyzed. Third, we analyze the business models that the fablabs of both countries are taking for sustainable development through Lean Canvas. Based on the results obtained through case analysis of both countries, we make suggestions for the development of fablabs in Korea.

  • In the era of convergence, more attention is paid to development of Fintech which attempts for innovation of the financial transaction paradigm through ICT. Proliferation of Fintech to engraft finance-related services on mobile and ICT is found in various fields such as loans, investment and asset management in addition to simple payment or remittance services but awareness of consumers regarding the matter is rather low. Therefore, it is the time to conduct a research on various Fintech businesses. This thesis conducted an empirical research from the viewpoint of consumers to investigate influence on continuous use intention of Fintech users. From the user environment perspective, it was found that influence of innovativeness on satisfaction was not statistically significant. In case of the product characteristics, perceived risk did not have statistical significance on satisfaction.

  • A manufacturing industry has secured its competitiveness through cost reduction, research for new products, development of manufacturing technology traditionally. However, many manufacturers are being required of innovative efforts for business sustainability by emergence of new technology and industry owing to fast technology development and convergence among technologies and industries. Continuous growth can not be expected with the way of simple manufacturing and sales under the 4th industrial revolution era. Separation of service from product is getting more vague in some specific area and a service provider is often offering its own product together. Innovation destroying manufacturing value chain with servitization can only create the new value. Basic concept of servitization, paradigm change and future prospect of manufacturing industries suffering from the 4th industrial revolution will be analyzed in this paper. Also, the strategy, application and methodology for servitization required in the convergence period will be researched.

  • This study focuses on considering the factors affecting the user intention to adopt an intelligent service - A.I. speaker services. Currently there can be a considerable difference between the expectation and the realized diffusion of IT-based intelligent services. This study aims to find out this gap based on the idea of diver previous researches including TAM and UTAUT studies and to identify the direct and indirect effects of diverse factors such as security issues, perceived time pressure, service innovativeness, and the experience of these IT-based intelligent services. And this study considers the expected impact of perceived time pressure factor on the user acceptance of A.I. speaker services. In analysis results, not only the traditional factors such as the perceived usefulness and the hedonic/utilitarian motives but also the perceived time pressure, the perceived security issues, and the experience of the services should be considered as meaningful factors to affect the users adopting A.I. speaker services.

  • Firms should seek greater profits and corporate growth through new businesses. New businesses contribute realizing creative economy that creates good jobs, and expanding the company by securing new markets and creating new profits and growth. However, new business is risky management decision-making to have a high failure rate because it involves the adaptation of new business environment and the burden of new investments, including the uncertainty of success in business. Therefore, innovation strategies play important roles for the new business entry, using product innovation, process innovation, business model innovation, disruptive innovation, and strategic innovation, etc. and company will get huge economic results by pushing them into successful business. It is essential that innovation strategy and IT development strategy along with business strategy of a firm are linked, and their strategic alignment is considered to be a critical success factor for new business success. Hyundai Heavy Industries(HHI) pursued marine engine business for the development of precision machinery industry and shipbuilding industry of Korea, and the company recognized the importance of new business strategy, innovation strategy, and IT strategy inter-linked, and pushed strategic alignment boldly. As a result, HHI won the competition in European and Japanese engine manufacturers and climbed into the world's largest engine manufacturer. This study suggests investigating and analyzing a case that HHI succeeded in marine engine business expansion using strategic innovation strategy as a way of the introduction of CNC machine tools and the development of HEMAPT system.
