인공위성에 탑재될 영상 시스템에는 영상의 품질을 결정하는 여러 성능지표가 고려된다. 이러한 성능지표는 위성 서비스와 관련된 여러 응용분야의 지표들과 밀접한 상관관계를 가지고 있으며, 각 응용분야의 지표에 따라 그 중요도에 차이점을 두고 있다. 일반적으로, 위성 설계를 위한 성능지표로는 GSD(Ground Sample Distance), MTF(Modulation Transfer Function), SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio)등과 같은 전자광학적 성능지표가 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 위성설계상의 성능지표와 응용분야 지표간의 상관관계 분석을 위해서 GSD, MTF, SNR과 같은 위성 설계용 성능지표가 반영된 가상영상을 생성한 후 이를 영상의 응용분야인 판독도 분야와 정밀지형정보 분야에 적용하여 위성설계용 성능지표가 응용분야의 성능지표에 미치는 영향에 대해서 분석을 하였다. 전체 실험에 대한 분석결과 판독도와 관련된 응용지표는 MTF, GSD, SNR에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났고, 정밀지형정보 분야와 관련된 응용지표는 SNR과 MTF에 민감하게 반응하는 것으로 나타났다.

IPTV 서비스의 지속적인 품질 유지를 위한 품질 측정 지표들의 변화가 실제 IPTV 서비스에 얼마나 큰 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 연구가 다양하게 이루어지고 있다. 그러나, 단순한 지표와 대략의 기준치를 가지고는 실제 상용 서비스에서 정확한 서비스 품질 유지에 많은 어려움을 준다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 ITU-T의 IPTV 성능을 위한 권고안에서 네트워크 성능에 따른 서비스 품질을 측정할 수 있는 지표들 중 패킷의 비순차적인 도착이 실제 IPTV 서비스에 어떠한 형태로 영향을 미치는지 분석하고자 한다.

IPTV 서비스가 활성화 되고, 서비스 품질 유지를 위한 품질 측정 지표들이 제시되고 있지만, 지표들의 변화가 실제 서비스 품질에 얼마나 큰 영향을 미치는 지에 대한 연구는 정확히 이루어지고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 ITU-T에서 결정되고 있는 다양한 IPTV 서비스 성능 지표들 중 패킷 분실률이 실제 IPTV 서비스의 품질에 어느 정도의 영향을 미치는지 파악하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 ns2 기반의 시뮬레이션 시나리오를 작성하고, 실험결과를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 IPTV 서비스에서 일정한 영상 품질을 제공하기 위해 보다 실제 환경에 적합한 권고 사항을 마련하기 위한 기본 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

통신 서비스에 대한 고객만족은 경쟁력의 원천이 되고 통신사업자는 이를 가장 효과적으로 개선할 수 있는 방법을 지속적으로 찾는다. 고객만족이 외부에서 측정되는 품질지표라면, 통신사업자의 내부 프로세스 성과지표, 통신서비스의 품질이나 성능 지표들은 내부 품질지표 이다. 본 고에서는 경쟁시장에서 소비자의 선택권이 강화된 시기에 통신사업자가 고객가치 향상을 위한 노력의 결과인 외부 고객만족도 (CSI) 조사 결과와 내부 서비스품질지수 (QOSI) 측정 결과를 상호 연계하여 분석하는 틀을 제시하고, 한정된 경영자원(인적, 물적) 투입의 우선순위 결정에 활용은 물론 고객만족도의 변화를 예측할 수 있는 방안을 개념화하고 적용모형을 예시하였다.

A art from the typical data services based on 1:1 data communications, various new services based on 1:N communications have recently appeared. These services are becoming to require advanced 1:N communication schemes which can transfer the same data to many receivers efficiently and in high-performance. Especially, a Push-To-Talk (PTT) service, which is an important service in public safety communication system, requires a service server to disseminate the same voice media data to multiple receivers in a group in real-time and low latency. In this paper, we propose an efficient scheme to disseminate the same data to multiple receivers in low latency. In addition, we provide an analysis which gives a guide the performance of the 1:N communications in practical wired/wireless system environments in the perspective of the PTT service index.

While cloud services are expanding, many users are having difficulty in adopting cloud services. This is because there is no information as to which cloud services can be trusted by users. loud service level agreement (Cloud SLA) is an agreement between cloud service providers and cloud service consumers using qualitative and quantitative indicators including quality and performance, etc. of cloud services. In this study, we propose a framework for cloud SLA that can be applied to the domestic cloud industry to improve service levels for cloud service providers and to protect users and also derive the detailed components of cloud SLA applicable to the domestic cloud industry using the proposed framework. Through this result, it is expected that the government will utilize the policy to enhance the reliability between cloud service providers and users under "the Act on the Development of Cloud Computing and Protection of Users", and eventually to activate cloud services by improving the quality and performance level of domestic cloud services and building a user trust.

최근 다양한 정보통신 서비스 창출과 향상된 성능을 가진 장치 개발 등으로 인해 정보통신서비스 시장이 확대되고 있다. 본 논문은 통신망에 대한 종단간 사용자의 서비스 질을 향상시키기 위하여, 인터넷의 대표적인 전달망인 IP 망에서의 QoS(Quality of Service)와 하부 전달망(ATM 망 프레임 릴레이망)에서의 QoS 간의 상관 관계를 손실 지표를 이용하여 분석함으로써 품질 지표간 맵핑 방안을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 종단간 서비스 품질 수준을 제공하기 위한 하부망에서의 손실의 수준 값을 알 수 있게된다.

본 논문은 산사태 감지 및 붕괴예측을 위한 현장에 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)을 적용한 실시간 모니터링 시스템 모델을 개발하였다. 이 시스템의 성능을 검증하기 위해 USN기반의 상시모니터링시스템모델을 제작하고 실험적 평가를 수행하였다. 성능평가는 지표변위 센서모듈 동작특성 실험적 평가, USN은 Data 수집 전송 효율성 실험적 평가, 개발한 상시감시모니터링 프로그램 동작성능 실험적 평가 등을 수행하였다. 성능평가 결과 지표변위 측정센서모듈은 변위각도에 일치성을 확인하고, USN은 지표변위 센서모듈로부터 측정된 Data를 상시모니터링시스템에 오류 없이 전송되는지를 확인하였으며, 개발한 상시모니터링 프로그램 동작기능은 실시간 모니터링 그래프, 임계동작 알고리즘, 위험성 통보 문자서비스(SMS)기능, 알람서비스기능, 현장 감시카메라 등 동작기능의 우수성을 실험으로 증명하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발된 산사태 감지 예측을 위한 USN기반 실시간 모니터링 시스템 모델은 산사태위험성노출 지역에 원격 실시간 모니터링 시스템으로 널리 사용될 것으로 사료된다.

웹 서비스를 제공하는 분산 서버 시스템에서 각 서버의 부하 상태를 파악하여 처리해야 할 부하를 조절하여 주면 서버의 부하가 균등하게 되어 더 나은 성능을 얻을 수 있게 된다. 서버의 부하 상태는 시스템의 자원에 영향을 미치는 여러 가지 요소에 의하여 분석을 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 스트레스 테스트를 통하여 서버의 자원의 고갈을 나타내는 주요 성능 지표들을 변화 상태를 분석하였다. 고려된 성능지표로는 Available Memory 양, Page Read 수, Processor Utilization, Processor Queue Length, 네트웍으로 전달된 Transmitted Bytes, 연결된 Connection 개수이다. 실제로 이중 하나의 요소를 적용시켜서 ALBM (Adaptive Load Balancing Mechanism)을 실행을 하였을 때 일반 LVS Round Robin 보다 성능이 좋은 결과를 낳았다.

As global climate change leaded to extensive natural disaster and radical deterioration of infrastructures, there was increased attentions for the evaluation of infrastructures. After the collapse of Seongsu Bridge in 1994, Korea has enacted the "Special act on safety and maintenance of facilities" and secured the safety of facilities using systematic and periodic safety inspections. However, current facility inspections are mainly performed by the physical defect and structural analysis, and do not properly consider the serviceability of infrastructure such as capacity of facility and user's satisfaction. Thus, the purpose of the study is to develop an evaluation criteria for serviceability of infrastructures and finally leading to the revision of "Special Act on safety and maintenance of facilities in rational manner.
