Inter-cell Interference Coordination Method Based on Active Antenna System in Heterogeneous Networks (이종망 환경에서 능동 안테나 시스템 기반의 셀간 간섭 제어 방법)

  • To cope with recently increasing demand for data traffics, heterogeneous networks have been actively studied, where small cells are deployed within a macro cell coverage with the same frequency band. To mitigate the interference from the macro cell to small cells, an enhanced Inter-cell Interference Coordination (eICIC) technique has been proposed, where ABS (Almost Blank Subframe) is used in time domain. However, there is a waste of resource since no data is transmitted in a macro-cell in ABS. In this paper, we propose a new interference management method by using a 3D sector beam based on Active Antenna System (AAS), where Genetic Algorithm (GA) is applied to reduce the antenna gain toward a small-cell. With the proposed scheme, the macro-cell and small cells can transmit data at the same time with the AAS antenna pattern generating reduced interference to small cells. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by using an LTE-Advanced system level simulator.

  • Terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (TDMB) is a method of bringing multimedia images, radio, internet, and television to portable devices through terrestrial digital radio transmissions. TDMB related educations being carried out in colleges are focusing on developing firmware which enables users to choose a wanted service. TDMB transmission frame is made up of synchronization channel (SC), fast information channel (FIC), and main service channel (MSC). Services such as video, audio and date are transmitted in the form of subchannel in the MSC. FIC carries information related to each services and subchannels. This paper presents a TDMB frame analysis simulator for analyzing and displaying FIC data on PC. TDMB frame analysis simulator contains functions such as controlling TDMB receiver through USB, establishing the frequency, bringing FIC to PC, displaying ensemble ID and levels, and displaying informations related to services and subchannels. In addition to that, this simulator has a function of being able to store FIC date and subchannel data. This simulator being developed with C++ is expected to be used to view those data visually so that it helps students to understand the TDMB system better and bring about the educational motivation.

  • The light weight aluminum subframe for automobile chassis part was developed using hybrid process, i.e. extruforming, press stamping and MIG welding. To achieve a 30 % weight reduction compared with conventional steel subframe keeping satisfactory performance, the design of cross-section of extruforming part was introduced, then forming simulation was performed and the final design was determined. In addition, we tried to estibilish optimun aluminum welding conditions for good penetration depth and few pore defact, finally the prototype of aluminum subframe was assembled using MIG welding method.

  • Due to new requirements of the automotive industry, concerning lightweight and non-corroding construction, new production methods, The Hot Air Forming process of aluminum alloys are of special interest. The disadvantage of aluminum alloy is the poorer formability compared to steel. The Hot Air Forming process is one of the forming process receiving recent attention. In the current study, Fabrication of aluminum rear subframe has been attempted using seam and seamless aluminum tubes. On the base of hot workability of the extruded tube and PAM-STAMP simulation results, Optimum condition for fabricating aluminum rear sub(lame parts by Hot Air Forming could be determined.

  • As the demands for lightweight construction and precision grow, there is an increasing interest on hydroforming technology. This paper deals with designing automobile subframe for applying welded blanks hydroforming. In applying welded blanks hydroforming to automobile subframe, it is a serious problem that blanks wrinkle in deformed shape. To suppress wrinklings in blanks, the sections of the die where blanks wrinkled is modified. In addition to this, it is intended that the sum of thickness variation about wrinkling regions be minimized. For this purpose, parameters for influencing formability are selected and evaluated using orthogonal array. Among these parameters, parameters having a major effect on formability are selected again. Using CCD(central composite design) with the selected parameters, response surface is build up and optimal design is performed.

  • 본 논문에서는 hidden Markov model (HMM) 기반의 스테레오 신호로부터 서라운드 오디오 신호를 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 5.1 채널 오디오 훈련 데이터베이스로부터 MDCT 영역에서 전방/서라운드 채널의 서브밴드 에너지를 프레임 단위로 계산하고, 이를 특징 벡터로 하여 좌측과 우측 채널 두 개의 HMM 이 구성된다. 다음으로, 입력된 스테레오 신호에 대해 HMM decoding 을 통해 서라운드 채널의 MDCT 영역의 서브밴드 에너지가 예측된다. 이 예측된 서브밴드 에너지로부터 역 MDCT 를 통해 서라운드 오디오 신호가 생성된다. 제안된 방법의 성능평가를 위해 MUSHRA 청취 실험을 수행한 결과, 제안된 HMM 기반의 방식으로 생성된 서라운드 오디오 신호가 기존의 패시브 서라운드 디코딩 기반으로 생성된 서라운드 신호에 비해 높은 선호도를 보였다.

  • This paper presents possible defects when welded blank hydroforming and focus on wrinkling, and the die design to prevent this defect An explicit finite element code, PAM-STAMP, is used to simulate welded blank hydroforming process. The numerical results are compared to the experimental results in the aspect of deformed shape. An automobile subframe is taken as an example to carry out finite element analysis.

  • Aluminum extruded profiles have been mostly used only a few automotive parts until now, such as roof rail, sunroof frame and bumper beams. However, Aluminum Extru-form technology, which was recently developed by foreign advanced manufacturer, made it possible to apply the aluminum extruded profiles to suspension parts of passenger and RV cars. It could be obtained by optimized billet casting, extrusion and stretch bending technology. It was possible to have the excellent weight reduction and the competitive price comparing with conventional process of aluminum for automotive parts. Combining additional process technology such as machining and joining, the application can be extended to various automotive parts. We have developed high strength aluminum alloy and fabricated subframe and suspension arm by extruforming process.

  • This paper describes the results of experiments on the bending behavior of welded square tube structures for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. The used specimens to test were two different type made of ATOS60 and ST52-3. The square tube made of ST52-3 is the non-welded structure, while the square tube made of ATOS60 is the welded structure. The welded square tube made of ATOS60 will be applied for drive shaft sub frame of BIMODAL Tram. This welded square tube could reduce the manufacturing cost in comparison of non-welded square tube. The results showed that the bending performance of welded square tube made of ATOS60 was proven, and the bending behavior was in an good agreement with that of nonlinear finite element analysis.
