Real-Time Monitoring and Control System of Server Room based on IoT (IoT를 기반으로 하는 서버 룸 실시간 모니터링 및 제어 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a system that monitors and controls the environment of a server room in real-time based on IoT. Recently, as the information society has been maximized, the damage has been significant when the computer system is down. In particular, damage such as a fire in the server room leads to loss of data and data recovery becomes impossible. In order to reduce such damage, a node capable of real-time monitoring using an IoT system was proposed. In addition, we proposed a coordinator node that can collect and monitor node information. In order to verify that the proposed system works, we have developed software that can control node monitoring and air conditioning. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed that the proposed system detects fire and controls the air conditioner.

  • 분산 네트웍환경하에서 코바의 네이밍 서비스는 네임 서버에 저장한 논리적 이름을 통해서 객체의 위치 정보를 얻는다. 이 방식은 서버의 물리적인 위치 변화에 상관없이 객체의 위치 투명성을 제공한다. 그러나 기존의 네이밍 서비스의 기능은 단순히 데이터베이스 역할만 할 뿐, 동적인 환경 하에서 서버와 클라이언트간의 유동적인 실효정보를 업데이트 하지못하고 네임 서버도 하나의 중앙 집중서버 구조로 되어있어서 홈 네트웍상에서 룸 단위의 디바이스 정보를 처리하는데 있어서 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하고 분산형홈 네트웍 환경에 적합한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 OMG 네이ald 서비스를 기반으로 하여 새로운 네임 서버구조를 설계하고 디바이스 정보를 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 모델을 제시한다.

  • 임베디드 자바플랫폼을 정의하는 J2ME는 컨피규레이션에 따라 크게 CLDC와 CDC로 구분된다. CLDC 자바 플랫폼은 저사양 휴대 단말 등에 탑재되어 널리 상용화되고 있으며, CLDC와 비교하여 CDC 자바 플랫폼은 자바2와 호환 가능한 완전한 JVM이 포함되고 고기능의 폭넓은 자바 API의 지원이 가능하므로 홈서버, 디지털 TV, 텔레매틱스 분야 및 고사양 모바일 단말 등에서 제공될 신규 서비스를 위한 자바 플랫폼으로 지목되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 클린룸으로 구현한 JVM과 GNU 프로젝트인 Classpath를 기반으로 구현한 PP 규격의 클래스 라이브러리를 통합한 CDC 자바 플랫폼 개발에 대해 기술한다.

  • Owing to the development of IT technology, a computerized system in various ways such as a variety of company's businesses, factory automation system and hospital healthcare system is introduced and operated. And it is possible to say that a computer system is more important than anything else to the extent that all businesses are suspended in case the system is down. Attention should be always paid to environmental management such as temperature, humidity and fire in server room for the normal operation of system in this situation. It is thought that there is necessity for a low-cost system which independently monitors environment round the clock in the situation where the person in charge doesn't pay attention and which informs a person in charge in real time when an event occurs for the operation of this small server room. Consequently, it is to be hoped that the suspension of service provided by computer system, which may occur due to a specific event, can be prevented.

  • With the spread of Personal Computers(PC) in the 1980's, many people started to deal businesses with PC. From late 1990's, the Internet age with PC have started and many people have showed keen interest in cyber-space and now they are utilizing it. Since 2000's the use of cyber-space have skyrocketed and it caused significant changes to humans' life. There was a huge prosperity to us but the new kind of crime, cyber-crime, was raised. Unlike past physical type of crimes, those cyber-crimes take place in the cyber-space and they have special features of non-facing, anonymity, specialty, technologic, repetition, continuation. Those cyber-crimes are continually growing since 2003 and in 2010 it almost doubled compared to 2003. General cyber-crimes like phishing-scam pornography circulation was most of them and notably perpetrators of them are younger generation. Recently cyber-crimes are showing the trend of advancing more and more and cyber-bullying, fraud like phishing scam are on the rise. The police are responding by making 'Cyber Terror Response Center', but it does not work effectively with the problems of breakup of prevention and investigation unit, procedure of investigation and the system itself. So, I suggest practical use of private security to remedy our police's weakness and to prevent cyber-crimes. Preventing solutions of cyber-crime with private security are physical defense of large-scale servers and vital computers, building of Back-up system to prevent vital data loss, and building of cyber-crime preventing system combining software and hardware.

  • Fine particulate matter known as PM 2.5 refers to the atmospheric particulate matter that has a diameter less than 2.5 micrometer identified as dangerous element for human health and its concentration can provide us a clear picture about air dust concentration. Humans stay indoor almost 90% of their life time and also there is no official indoor dust concentration data, so our study is focused on measuring the indoor air quality. Indoor dust data monitoring is very important in hospital environments beside that other places can also be considered for monitoring like classrooms, cements factories, computer server rooms, petrochemical storage etc. In this paper, visible light communication system is proposed by Manchester encoding technique for electromagnetic interference (EMI)-free indoor dust monitoring. Important indoor environment information like dust concentration is transferred by visible light channel in wide range. An average voltage-tracking technique is utilized for robust light detection to eliminate ambient light and low-frequency noise. The incoming light is recognized by a photo diode and are simultaneously processed by a receiver micro-controller. We can monitor indoor air quality in real-time and can take necessary action according to the result.
