A Study on the Demand Analysis of Sharable Resources in the Busan New Port Container Terminal (부산신항 컨테이너터미널 내 공유가능 자원들의 수요분석 연구)

  • To enhance the competitiveness of the Busan Port in accordance with changes in global shipping and port industry trends, the Busan New Port is promoting step-by-step integration and developing a port resource-sharing platform. However, inefficient resource-sharing can cause unnecessary additional costs or impede port productivity, so accurate supply and demand matching of shared resources is required. In this study, the supply and demand of port resources were investigated for employees of Busan New Port and North Port, and port resources that could be ideally shared through IPA(Importance Performance Analysis) were analyzed. As a result of analyzing the equipment in the port, Yard Tractor, Reach Stacker, and Top Handler were the top considerations, and for facilities in the port, berths and aprons, empty container yards, and refrigerated container yards were the most important considerations. As for the data in the port, gate status, equipment specifications, and berth and apron conditions were the top considerations.

  • Information Technology(IT) was introduced to the business as a means of improving operational efficiency. Nowadays, IT has become an essential component of an organization's survival. Almost no operations of an organization can be performed without IT. The benefits of using IT in organizations can not be underestimated. Some organizations have flourished because of the competitive advantages derived from the IT systems they have developed. Most IT systems, however, have been extended, changed and integrated with ad-hoc and makeshift solutions without thinking long-range view. It results in high maintenance cost and uncontrolled system for managing information resources. Especially, public institutions under the Project-Based System (PBS) have some problems in keeping a good management systems for information resource, because they are usually operated for a set period. Therefore, we propose the framework how to efficiently manage the IT assets and resources based on the Information Technology Architecture (ITA) that is introduced for the overall optimization of IT investment, change management and inter-operability.

  • Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused by fossil fuels consumption is one of the challenging issues worldwide. Renewable energy source (RES)-based energy supply system can be a promising alternative to the current fossil fuel-based system. In this study, we propose an optimization approach for designing a stand-alone hybrid energy supply system using RES and evaluating economic performances of the energy systems. The suggested approach is used to answer the questions; i) what technology is suitable to various demand sectors in different regions, and ii) how does it cost to meet the demand in term of the levelized costs of energy (LCOE). We illustrate the applicability of the proposed approach by applying to the design problem of energy supply systems for residential, agricultural and commercial sectors of Korea. As the results of LCOE analysis, for the residential sector has the LCOE ranging of $0.37~$0.44/kWh, the agricultural sector of $0.15~$0.61/kWh and the commercial sector of $0.12~$0.28/kWh.

  • 토양정보는 식량생산, 지속적인 토지이용 계획, 종다양성 평가에 사용되는 기본적인 자료이다. 우리나라 토양조사의 역사, 다양한 축척의 토양도 구축과 토양검정, 토양도와 토양검정 자료의 특성, 농업환경변동 모니터링을 통한 일반농경지 및 취약농경지 토양, 토양정보의 전산화에 따른 토양데이터베이스와 토양정보시스템 소개, 구축된 토양정보의 활용과 향후 방향에 대해 논하였다. 40여년 동안 수행되었던 국책 토양조사사업 결과 두 종류의 토양 데이터베이스가 구축되었는데, 다양한 축척의 토양도(1:250,000, 1:50,000, 1:25,000, 1:5,000)를 GIS DB로 전산화한 수치토양도 DB와 필지 단위로 조사된 화학성 위주의 토양분석 성적을 구축한 토양비옥도 DB이다. 흙토람(http://soil.rda.go.kr)에 서 제공하는 토양전자지도는 총 111종으로 토성, 경사, 지형, 모재, 배수등급, 자갈함량, 유효토심 등 토양 GIS 주제도 50종, 사과, 배, 마늘, 수박 등 작물 재배적지 61종이고, 82종의 토양통계 정보를 제공하고 있다. 최근 에는 친환경농업육성법 시행령에 따른 경작형태 및 오염원별 농경지 토양의 이화학성 및 농업용수 수질 조사 자료를 GIS DB로 구축하여 공간적인 분포와 시계열적인 변화를 분석하는 자료로 활용하고 있다. 농업환경변동 정보는 농업환경자원 인벤토리를 기반으로 일반농경지의 화학성과 농업용수의 수질, 토양 미생물 등의 공간적인 분포와 시간적인 변화 정보를 전문가 그룹에 제공하고 있다. 앞으로는 자연자원의 분포와 변동 정보를 바탕으로 보다 일반적이고 알기 쉽게 가공하여 일반인들에게 농업환경과 자연자원 보전의 중요성을 이해시키는 정보로 제공할 예정이다. 기존의 토양정보와 농업환경정보를 통합하여 컨텐츠를 보다 내실있게 하고 정보 수요자별로 손쉽게 목적에 맞는 접근을 할 수 있는 시스템을 만들어 사용자의 편의성을 강화시키는 방향으로 이끌어 가고자 한다.

  • 물 소비는 수자원 고갈을 야기하며, 수자원 고갈은 보건, 농업 생산력, 작물 생산력, 생태계에 악영향을 미친다. 따라서 물발자국 개념을 적용하고 이를 활용함으로써 일반생활에서 패러다임의 전환을 유도하는 것은 환경 및 물 문제를 저감하는 좋은 수단이 될 수 있다. 우리나라도 물발자국 개념 도입의 적극적인 검토가 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스페인의 사례를 통하여 물발자국 도입 방안을 도출하고자 한다. 스페인은 2008년 9월 유럽연합에서 최초로 물발자국 평가를 정책으로 채택하였다. 스페인은 물 부족 국가로서 물발자국 연구를 수행해왔으며 강 유역 및 국가적 차원의 방법론을 연구하고 검증해왔다. 특히 도시와 산업 분야에서 물의 재사용을 증대시키기 위해 통합농업 및 생태농업을 장려하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 태양에너지, 관광, 전통 작물 재배 지역의 물발자국 계정의 비교우위를 통해 환경, 농업, 에너지, 무역 정책과 관련되는 물 정책의 조정 중에 있다. 또한 지나친 용수개발로 인한 생태적 위험에 대처하기 위해 강을 상류, 중류, 하류로 나누어 작물별 가상수량과 물 효율성을 분석하였다. 이에 따른 결과로 지역마다 적합한 수출입전략으로 물 효율성이 높은 작물을 주로 재배하는 상류지역은 농산물을 다른 지역으로부터 수입하는 동시에 채소류와 같은 물 효율성이 높은 농산물을 특화하여 수출할 필요성을 농가로 제시하고 있다. 이를 통하여 스페인은 지역의 환경 조건에 가장 적합한 제품의 생산을 촉진하고 본질적인 물 사용 패턴의 변화를 통하여 효율적인 물 분배 및 사용이 가능하게 됨으로서 관개용수 사용의 감소를 실현하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 스페인은 유역관리계획의 개발을 위한 기술적 표준으로서 다양한 사회경제 분야의 물발자국 분석을 포함하고 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 통하여 물발자국 정책의 활용방안을 파악하였고, 물발자국의 도입 방향성을 도출하였다. 환경 및 물 문제를 저감할 수 있는 물발자국 개념은 향후 우리나라의 수자원 관리에 있어 중요한 지표의 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다.

Effects of Co-digestate application on the Soil Properties, Leachate and Growth Responses of Paddy Rice (통합혐기소화액의 시용이 벼 생육 및 논토양 환경에 미치는 영향)

  • Livestock manures have a potential to be a valuable resource with an efficient treatment. In Korea, 42 million tons of livestock manure were generated in 2008, and 84 % of them were used for compost and liquid fertilizer production. Recently recycling of livestock manure for biogas production through anaerobic digestion is increasing, but its utilization in agriculture is still uncertified. In this study, there was applied co-digestate to the paddy for rice cultivation based on N supplement. Co-digestate was fertilizer fermented with pig slurry and food waste combined with the ratio of 70:30(v:v) in its volumetric basis. For assessing the safety of co-digestate, it was monitored the contents of co-digestate for seasonal variation, resulted in no potential harm to the soil and plant by heavy metals. The results showed that soil applied with co-digestate was increased in exchangeable potassium, copper and zinc mainly due to the high rate of pig slurry in co-digestate applied. Considering high salt content due to the combination with food waste, strict quality assurances are needed for safe application to arable land though it has valuable fertilizer nutrient. Leachate after treatment showed that the concentration of nitrate nitrogen washed out within two weeks. Considering the salt accumulation results in soil, it is highly recommended that the application rate of co-digestate should not exceed the crop fertilization rate based on N supplement. With these results, it was concluded that co-digestate could be used as an alternative fertilizer for chemical fertilizer. More study is needed for the long-term effects of co-digestate application on the soil and water environment.

  • This paper describes an electronic performance support system called HELPS(Handler Electronic Learning Performence Support) for semiconductor testing e equipment. The purpose of this system is to improve productivity of operators by providing just-in-time, on-the-job, mutimedia-based system information for operational support, training, and knowledge-based trouble shooting and repair. HELPS is composed of a operation module and a trouble shooting module. The operation module uses multimedia and hypermedia to provide the detailed and easily accessible information about equipment to users. Multimedia incorporate multiple. media forms including still and video images. animations 'texts' graphics. and audio. Hypermedia a are provided through a hierarchical information structure which offers not only specific information which is needed to perform a task to experienced operators. but detailed system guidance and information to novice operators. The trouble shooting module is composed of an integrated mutimedia-supported expert system which assists operators in trouble shooting and equipment repair. After diagnosis through the use of the expert system. multimedia advice is presented to the user in either still images with text or motion sequences with sound HELPS is evaluated in term of training time and trouble shooting and repair time. It improved productivity by saving more than 30% of the total time used without the system. This s system has the potential to improve productivity when it is used with ICAIOntellignet Computer Aided Instruction) and virtual reality.

An Analysis for the Economic Impact of Forest Road Investment (임도시설 투자의 경제적 파급효과 분석)

  • Forest road is an essential infrastructure for forest management such as the composition and management of forest resources, timber and forest byproduct production & transportation. It has recently been utilized forest recreation and forest sports as well as also forest pest control, forest fire prevention and evolution. When you build a forest road, the economic function in the forest is activated, so that it can result in the ripple effect of induced employment, value-added creation and production inducement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact caused by forest road construction occurring as the overall economy. For analysis it was applied to inter industry analysis method that is a method for analyzing the quantitative cross-correlation. The data were used in the Input-Output Tables In 2014, the Bank of Korea. When you build a forest road, economic effect due to the construction of the forest road is generated and economic effects are also generated due to the increase in the production of forest products after the construction of the forest road. Therefore, we will analyze the economic impact of the two effects. The estimated economic value of forest products, which is the economic effect of forest product cultivation, was calculated through some assumptions and the economic ripple effect was analyzed. The forest road construction sector is defined as land clearing and reclamation, and irrigation project construction and the forestry forest products sector is defined as the sum of raw timber, edible forest products and misc. forest products. In total, 32 sectors were classified, and except for the two sectors defined as forest road construction and forestry forest products, the remaining sectors were integrated according to the classification system of 30 integrated classifications of the Bank of Korea. As a result, the production inducement coefficient for forest construction was analyzed to be 2.767 and the production inducement coefficient for forestry forest products was analyzed to be 1.565. This means that 2,767 times the production of forest road construction investment is induced in the whole industry and the production of 1.562 times the amount of forestry forest products is caused by the whole industry as the production of forestry forest products increases. The value added inducement coefficient for forest road construction was 0.977 and the value added inducement coefficient for forestry forest products was 0.985. Forest road are essential infrastructure for forestry development and should be continuously invested because they are essential elements of timber production and forest byproduct production with functions such as forest management, forest recreation, forest sports, and town connection.

Current status and future of insect smart factory farm using ICT technology (ICT기술을 활용한 곤충스마트팩토리팜의 현황과 미래)

  • In the insect industry, as the scope of application of insects is expanded from pet insects and natural enemies to feed, edible and medicinal insects, the demand for quality control of insect raw materials is increasing, and interest in securing the safety of insect products is increasing. In the process of expanding the industrial scale, controlling the temperature and humidity and air quality in the insect breeding room and preventing the spread of pathogens and other pollutants are important success factors. It requires a controlled environment under the operating system. European commercial insect breeding facilities have attracted considerable investor interest, and insect companies are building large-scale production facilities, which became possible after the EU approved the use of insect protein as feedstock for fish farming in July 2017. Other fields, such as food and medicine, have also accelerated the application of cutting-edge technology. In the future, the global insect industry will purchase eggs or small larvae from suppliers and a system that focuses on the larval fattening, i.e., production raw material, until the insects mature, and a system that handles the entire production process from egg laying, harvesting, and initial pre-treatment of larvae., increasingly subdivided into large-scale production systems that cover all stages of insect larvae production and further processing steps such as milling, fat removal and protein or fat fractionation. In Korea, research and development of insect smart factory farms using artificial intelligence and ICT is accelerating, so insects can be used as carbon-free materials in secondary industries such as natural plastics or natural molding materials as well as existing feed and food. A Korean-style customized breeding system for shortening the breeding period or enhancing functionality is expected to be developed soon.

Implementation of Context based Service Framework for Mobile Environment (모바일 환경에 적합한 상황정보 기반 서비스 프레임워크의 개발)

  • 빠른 속도로 확산되고 있는 모바일 기기는 카메라, GPS, RFID 등과 같은 다양한 센서를 장착하고 Wi-Fi, WiMAX, WiBro 등의 무선 네트워크를 지원하는 형태로 발전하고 있다. 이러한 발전으로 사용자는 언제 어디서나 주변의 컴퓨팅 자원을 이용할 수 있게 되었고 모바일 기기의 서비스는 주변의 센서 또는 임베디드 컴퓨팅 장치로부터 수집되는 다양한 주변 환경 정보와 시스템 상태정보, 네트워크 상황정보 등의 디지털 정보를 이용하여 주변상황인식(context awareness)이 가능한 스마트 서비스로 발전하고 있다. 주변상황인식을 위하여 서비스는 주변에 존재하는 다양한 장치를 효율적으로 검색하고 이질적인(Heterogeneous) 장치와 정보의 표현 및 전송에 대한 호환성이 필요하다. 이러한 문제는 규격화된 프레임워크의 사용으로 해결할 수 있으며 상황정보의 관리 기능을 추가하여 서비스 개발의 생산성을 높일 수 있다 본 논문에서는 모바일 컴퓨팅 환경에서 상황정보의 제공과 사용에 적합한 프레임워크로서 MoCE(Mobile Context Exploerer) 아키텍처를 설계하였다. MoCE 는 상황정보의 수집, 변환, 분류, 통합 등의 기능을 제공하고 모바일 환경의 특성에 기인한 상황정보 발견 및 전송 프로토콜을 설계하여 사용하고 있다. 또한 Surround multiCam 서비스 예제를 구현하여 제안한 아키텍처의 안정성 및 성능을 실험하였다.
