T6 열처리 및 저온 장시간 등온 시효한 Mg-Al 합금의 경도 및 진동감쇠능 비교 (Comparison of Hardness and Damping Capacities of Mg-Al Alloy Subjected to T6 Heat Treatment and Low Temperature Long Term Isothermal Aging)

  • Hardness and damping characteristics of fine discontinuous precipitates (DPs) microstructure generated by low temperature long term isothermal aging were investigated in comparison with those of T6 heat-treated microstructure composed of DPs and continuous precipitates (CPs) in Mg-9%Al alloy. In this study, T6 and fine DPs microstructures were obtained by isothermal aging at 453 K for 24 h and at 413 K for 336 h, respectively, after solution treatment at 693 K for 24 h. The DPs microstructure exhibited higher hardness than the T6 microstructure, which is related to the lower (α + β) interlamellar spacing of the DPs. The DPs microstructure possessed better damping capacity than the T6 microstructure in the strain-amplitude independent region, whereas in the strain-amplitude dependent region, the reverse behavior was observed. The damping tendencies depending on strain-amplitude were discussed based on the microstructural features of the T6 and DPs microstructures.

다양한 생압고철 충전 상태의 정량적 비교 (Quantitative Comparison of Packing States of Various Press Scraps)

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 생압고철의 충전 거동을 시각화 시뮬레이션하였고, 초기 장입 단계가 종료된 후, 충전 상태를 정량적으로 비교하였다. 300mm 정육면체 생압고철, 맞춤형 정육면체 생압고철, 맞춤형 팔각기둥 생압고철, 맞춤형 원기둥 생압고철을 비교 대상으로 하였다. 맞춤형 생압고철의 경우, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6t/h 용량의 용해로에 맞춤형 크기로 설계하였다. 초기 장입 개수, 추가 장입 중량 백분율, 충전 밀도, 틈새 공간 부피 백분율 등 충전 상태를 비교 평가하였다.

  • In this study, machine learning models are proposed to predict the Vickers hardness of AlSi10Mg alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). A total of 113 utilizable datasets were collected from the literature. The hyperparameters of the machine-learning models were adjusted to select an accurate predictive model. The random forest regression (RFR) model showed the best performance compared to support vector regression, artificial neural networks, and k-nearest neighbors. The variable importance and prediction mechanisms of the RFR were discussed by Shapley additive explanation (SHAP). Aging time had the greatest influence on the Vickers hardness, followed by solution time, solution temperature, layer thickness, scan speed, power, aging temperature, average particle size, and hatching distance. Detailed prediction mechanisms for RFR are analyzed using SHAP dependence plots.

용체화처리 후 연속 냉각한 Mg-8%Al-X%Zn 합금에서 생성된 불연속 석출물의 미세조직과 경도에 미치는 Zn 함량의 영향 (Effects of Zn Content on Microstructure and Hardness of Discontinuous Precipitates Formed in Mg-8%Al-X%Zn Alloys Subjected to Continuous Cooling after Solution Treatment)

  • This work was intended to investigate the effects of Zn content on microstructure and hardness of discontinuous precipitates (DPs) produced by continuous cooling (CC) in Mg-8%Al-X%Zn alloys with 0%, 0.5% and 1% of Zn contents (wt%). The DPs in the alloys possessed a wide range of (α+β) interlamellar spacings, which is attributed to the different transformation temperatures during CC. The higher Zn content resulted in the lower level of interlamellar spacings of the DPs, along with thinner and larger volume fraction of β phase layer in the DPs. It is noted that the DPs in the alloy with higher Zn content exhibited higher hardness, and that the ratio of increase in hardness of the DPs to that of the as-cast state was also increased with increasing Zn content. The reason was discussed on the basis of microstructural differences of the DPs in the Mg-8%Al-X%Zn alloys.

현장 관망과 연결된 Pilot 스케일 관로에서 누수가 수두감쇠에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the effect of leakage on water head reduction in the pilot scale pipeline connected to the field pipeline.)

  • 관로 내 빈번히 발생하는 수격압의 발생은 관망 구조물에 피로가 누적되고 관벽에 손상을 발생시켜, 관로 내 누수가 다양한 형태로 생성된다. 관 내 누수가 발생되는 경우 관 내부의 수격압의 발생 시 생성되는 부압으로 인하여 외부 물질이 관으로 흡수되거나 혼합되어 스케일과 미생물의 생성되는 등 관 내의 수질에 악영향을 끼치며 마찰을 증가시켜 통수능이 감소하고 관리에 추가적인 비용을 발생시킨다. 이러한 영향을 방지하기 위해 관 내에서 생성되는 누수를 탐지하기 위하여 수격압을 발생시켜 압력파를 분석하거나 추적을 수행하는 여러 가지 연구들이 수행되었다. 본 연구에서는 현장 관망과 연결된 100A 대구경 관로에 관로 수압 발생장치를 연결하여 기존의 수격압을 발생시켜 분석하는 방법 대신 안전하고 용이한 방법인 압력파를 주입하여 실험을 수행하였다. 실험을 통해 획득한 데이터를 시간상에서 분석하고 Fourier 변환을 통한 빈도상 분석과 Wavelet 분석으로 신호주기에서 누수가 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 실험 결과에서는 누수에 의한 영향으로 반사파가 직접적으로 변형되는 형태보다 시스템 전체에서 반영되어 수두가 감쇠되는 형태로 나타났다. Fourier 변환을 통해 무누수 조건과 누수조건의 비교에서 누수의 유무에 따른 신호의 형태가 차이를 보였다. 앞선 연구들에서의 누수의 특정한 위치를 찾아내는 형태 대신 신호처리 후 분석을 통해 시스템 전체에서 일어나는 감쇠를 통해 누수 존재 유무를 판별하고자 한다.

플라즈마 질화처리한 사출금형소재의 비정질 탄소계 박막 증착에 따른 기계적 특성 향상 효과 (The effect of mechanical properties of carbon-based thin film on plasma nitrided injection mold steel )

  • The carbon-based films have various properties, which have been widely applied in industrial application. However, it has critical drawback for poor adhesion between films and metal substrate. In the present work, we have deposited carbon-based films on injection mold steel by plasma assisted chemical vapor deposition (PACVD). In order to improve adhesion, prior to film deposition, the substrate was nitriding-treated using PACVD. And its effect on the adhesion was investigated. Due to the pre-nitriding, the amorphous carbon nitride (a-CN:H) films presented 10 times higher adhesion (34.9 N) than that of un-nitirided. In addition, a friction coefficient was decreased from 0.29 to 0.15 for the amorphous carbon (a-C:H) due to improved adhesion. The obtained results demonstrated that pre-nitriding considerably improved the adhesion, and the relationship among adhesion, hardness, and surface roughness was discussed in detail.

대형 상용차용 독립 현가부품 플래쉬 부피 예측 모델 개발 (Development of Flash Volume Prediction Model for Independent Suspension Parts for Large Commercial Vehicles)

  • Recently, independent suspension systems have been applied not only to passenger cars but also to large commercial vehicles. Therefore, the need for research to domestically produce such independent suspensions for large commercial vehicles is gradually increasing. In this paper, we conducted research on the manufacturing technology of the relay lever, which are integral components of independent suspension systems for large commercial vehicles. Our goal was to reduce the flash volume generated during the forging process. The shape variables of the initial billet were adjusted to find proper forming conditions that could minimize flash volume while performing product forming smoothly. Shape variables were set as input variables and the flash volume was set as an output variable, and simulations were carried out to analytically predict the volume of the flash area for each variable condition. Based on the data obtained through numerical simulations, a regression model and an artificial neural network model were used to develop a prediction model that can easily predict the flash volume for variable conditions. For the corresponding prediction model, a goodness of-fit test was performed to confirm a high level of fit. By comparing and analyzing the two prediction models, the high level of fit of the ANN model was confirmed.

Mg-Al 및 Mg-Zn 고용체의 진동감쇠능 비교 (Comparison of Damping Capacities in Mg-Al and Mg-Zn Solid Solutions)

  • Damping capacities of Mg-2.5%Al and Mg-2.5%Zn (in atomic) solid solutions were comparatively investigated in order to clarify the influence of solutionized Al and Zn elements on the damping characteristics of Mg. In this study, solid solutions with similar grain size were obtained by solution treatment at 678 K for different times (24 h for Mg-2.5%Al and 36 h for Mg-2.5%Zn), followed by water quenching at RT. The Mg-2.5%Al and Mg-2.5%Zn solid solutions showed similar damping capacities in the strain-amplitude independent region of 1 × 10-6 ~ 1 × 10-5 and in the strain-amplitude dependent region below 6 × 10-4, over which the Mg-2.5%Zn solid solution possessed better damping capacity than the Mg-2.5%Al solid solution. The damping tendencies depending on strain-amplitude for the two solid solutions were analyzed and discussed in terms of similar length between weak pinning points (solutes) and different solute/dislocation interaction forces in Granato-Lücke model.

  • This study develops and evaluates a deep learning model for predicting oxide and nitride layers based on plasma process data. We introduce a novel deep learning-based Varying Coefficient Regressor (VCR) by adapting the VCR, which previously relied on an existing unique function. This model is employed to forecast the oxide and nitride layers within the plasma. Through comparative experiments, the proposed VCR-based model exhibits superior performance compared to Long Short-Term Memory, Random Forest, and other methods, showcasing its excellence in predicting time series data. This study indicates the potential for advancing prediction models through deep learning in the domain of plasma processing and highlights its application prospects in industrial settings.

  • 코로나19 이후로 재택근무의 대폭 활성화로 기업 네트워크의 내부와 외부의 경계가 모호해졌다. 이로 인해 전통적인 경계형 보안으로는 기업의 업무 생산성이 정체되고 정보 유출 등의 위험 관리가 어려워졌다. 제로 트러스트 아키텍처 모델이 등장하였으나 기업별로 다양하게 구성된 IT 환경에 적용하기에는 어려움이 있다. 이에 재택근무 시스템 구성을 예시로 온-프레미스, 클라우드 및 망 분리 등의 네트워크 환경에서도 제로 트러스트 모델을 적용할 수 있는 구성과 방법론을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 사이버 위협에 능동적으로 대응하는 지능형 체계인 제로 트러스트 아키텍처를 적용하려는 기업에 가이드를 제공하여 안전하면서도 편리한 사이버 환경 조성에 기여 하고자 한다.
