Change Detection of land-surface Environment in Gongju Areas Using Spatial Relationships between Land-surface Change and Geo-spatial Information (지표변화와 지리공간정보의 연관성 분석을 통한 공주지역 지표환경 변화 분석)

  • In this study, we investigated the change of future land-surface and relationships of land-surface change with geo-spatial information, using a Bayesian prediction model based on a likelihood ratio function, for analysing the land-surface change of the Gongju area. We classified the land-surface satellite images, and then extracted the changing area using a way of post classification comparison. land-surface information related to the land-surface change is constructed in a GIS environment, and the map of land-surface change prediction is made using the likelihood ratio function. As the results of this study, the thematic maps which definitely influence land-surface change of rural or urban areas are elevation, water system, population density, roads, population moving, the number of establishments, land price, etc. Also, thematic maps which definitely influence the land-surface change of forests areas are elevation, slope, population density, population moving, land price, etc. As a result of land-surface change analysis, center proliferation of old and new downtown is composed near Gum-river, and the downtown area will spread around the local roads and interchange areas in the urban area. In case of agricultural areas, a small tributary of Gum-river or an area of local roads which are attached with adjacent areas showed the high probability of change. Most of the forest areas are located in southeast and from this result we can guess why the wide chestnut-tree cultivation complex is located in these areas and the capability of forest damage is very high. As a result of validation using a prediction rate curve, a capability of prediction of urban area is $80\%$, agriculture area is $55\%$, forest area is $40\%$ in higher $10\%$ of possibility which the land-surface change would occur. This integration model is unsatisfactory to Predict the forest area in the study area and thus as a future work, it is necessary to apply new thematic maps or prediction models In conclusion, we can expect that this way can be one of the most essential land-surface change studies in a few years.

Counter-Terrorism Policy of Mongolia: Raising Awareness on Terrorism (몽골의 대테러 정책: 테러인식 제고)

  • This study touches upon the challenges of globalization, in which terrorism is one of the most brutal forms of criminal violence targeting innocent people. No country is immune from terrorist attacks, and no person is immune from becoming a victim. Interest in this topic is increasing as terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, in its scale and intensity, and in its inhumanity and cruelty, is now becoming one of the most acute and pressing problems of global importance. Legal regulations passed in Mongolia in 2004 have established a structure to prevent and detect terrorist threats. However, the country's anti-terrorism policy should be improved with respect to its global counter-terrorism strategy. Because Mongolia is a comparatively safe country in the region, the people do not consider terrorism to be a real threat. This study aims to suggest methods to quickly raise awareness and create a security culture to improve Mongolia's long-term terrorism prevention policy. In particular, the authors review Mongolia's anti-terrorism policy, focusing on legal regulations, and suggest education methods to raise terrorism awareness for the public as a primary preventive measure. The study also presents a comparative analysis and a summary conclusion by examining international legal acts, conventions on new manifestations of terrorism, the foundations of laws and regulations of Mongolia, and related research on terrorism.

Performance Enhancement Algorithm using Supervised Learning based on Background Object Detection for Road Surface Damage Detection (도로 노면 파손 탐지를 위한 배경 객체 인식 기반의 지도 학습을 활용한 성능 향상 알고리즘)

  • In recent years, image processing techniques for detecting road surface damaged spot have been actively researched. Especially, it is mainly used to acquire images through a smart phone or a black box that can be mounted in a vehicle and recognize the road surface damaged region in the image using several algorithms. In addition, in conjunction with the GPS module, the exact damaged location can be obtained. The most important technology is image processing algorithm. Recently, algorithms based on artificial intelligence have been attracting attention as research topics. In this paper, we will also discuss artificial intelligence image processing algorithms. Among them, an object detection method based on an region-based convolution neural networks method is used. To improve the recognition performance of road surface damage objects, 600 road surface damaged images and 1500 general road driving images are added to the learning database. Also, supervised learning using background object recognition method is performed to reduce false alarm and missing rate in road surface damage detection. As a result, we introduce a new method that improves the recognition performance of the algorithm to 8.66% based on average value of mAP through the same test database.

The Study on Process of Illustrious Virtue Becoming an Issue in Horak debate (湖洛論爭) - Focused on Oiam(巍巖) Yi Gan(李柬)'s distiction between Mind(心) and temperament(氣質) (호락논쟁에서 명덕(明德)의 쟁점화 과정 연구 - 외암(巍巖) 이간(李柬)의 심(心)과 기질(氣質)의 분변(分辨)을 중심으로 -)

  • In late Chosen(朝鮮), the concept of illustrious virtue(明德) became an important issue of debate. However, previous studies did not focus on how the concept emerged as an issue. This paper aimed to explore the problem, and for this purpose, paid attention to Horak(湖洛) debate. Oiam(巍巖) Yi Gan(李柬), in the course of discussion with Namdang(南塘), finally argued that mind(心) clearly distinguishes from temperament(氣質). The goals of the claim were to clearly divide mind and temperament, and to emphasize mind's control of temperament. Through this, he wanted to reject the possibility of being affected by temperament in aroused state(未發). And he presented the concept of illustrious virtue as a critical evidence supporting his argument. He argued that because mind is same with illustrious virtue, it has a special status that essentially distinguished from the temperament, even if both mind and temperament are all material force(氣). This argument led to new discussion trend in the debate. it was to form a definition of the mind, based on defining the relationship between spiritual perception(虛靈知覺), temperament and illustrious virtue. The trend was reflected in the debate on 'Whether illustrious virtue is the same for everyone or varies from person to person(明德分殊)'. Through the process of analysis in this paper, we could detect a tendency that definition of mind has become an independent subject.
