Implementation of Efficient Mobile Monitoring System of the GreenHouse Environment Data (온실 환경 데이터의 효과적인 모바일 모니터링 시스템 구현)

  • A monitoring system needs many parameters to increase devices for monitoring data and to support various services. In particular, monitoring the status of a device in a wireless mobile environment has a difficulty in displaying multi data in a limited screen size, and transfer of the status data of a device into a network is largely related with network traffic. The research aims at designing a control board that collects data in order to effectively manage a greenhouse environment system. Also, the research tries to appropriately operate devices, environment data monitoring, and the control of each device by realizing a multiplexed interface based on a web. Thus, in the case in which a distributed client was a computer, monitoring and control were obtained with a web browser through the Lab VIEW web server of a server or local control module in order to effectively monitor and control according to the status of a user. In the case in which a client was a PDA, application of a wireless mobile considering the scale and data processing capacity of a displayer was connected. As a result of the research, we could confirm a satisfactory outcome from the viewpoint of a human-centered design by supplying adaptability and mobility according to the environment of a user.

An Intercomparison of Model Predictions for an Urban Contamination Resulting from the Explosion of a Radiological Dispersal Device (도심에서 방사능분산장치의 폭발로 인한 피폭선량 예측결과의 상호비교)

  • The METRO-K is a model for a radiological dose assessment due to a radioactive contamination in the Korean urban environment. The model has been taken part in the Urban Remediation Working Group within the IAEA's (International Atomic Energy Agency) EMRAS (${\mathbf{\underline{E}}}nvironmental$ ${\mathbf{\underline{M}}}odeling$ for ${\mathbf{\underline{RA}}}diation$ ${\mathbf{\underline{S}}}afety$) program. The Working Croup designed for the intercomparison of radioactive contamination to be resulted from the explosion of a radiological dispersal device in a hypothetical city. This paper dealt intensively with a part among a lot of predictive results which had been performed in the EMRAS program. The predictive results of three different models (METRO-K, RESRAD-RDD, CPHR) were submitted to the Working Group. The gap of predictive results was due to the difference of mathemathical modeling approaches, parameter values, understanding of assessors. Even if final results (for example, dose rates from contamintaed surfaces which might affect to a receptor) are similar, the understanding on the contribution of contaminated surfaces showed a great difference. Judging from the authors, it is due to the lack of understanding and information on radioactive terrors as well as the social and cultural gaps which assessors have been experienced. Therefore, it can be known that the experience of assessors and their subjective judgements might be important factors to get reliable results. If the acquisition of a little additional information is possible, it was identified that the METRO-K might be a useful tool for decision support against contamination resulting from radioactive terrors by improving the existing model.

  • When an unexpected software exception arises, we programmers are to analyze what causes it. Precisely speaking, we need to analyze the cause and property of the unexpected exception. But if exceptions arise irregularly from unknown causes, it is even more difficult for us to handle them, especially in embedded system like mobile phone software development. In this paper, we propose a debugger-friendly analyzing method for exceptions using aspect oriented programming technique. What we need to know upon arising exceptions is the function call history in order to identify the reason for the exceptions. Since programmers used to spend their debugging time on unidentified exceptions, which arise irregularly our method would greatly improve the embedded software development productivity.

Design and Implementation of Multi Exposure Smart Vehicular Camera Applying Auto Exposure Control Algorithm Based on Region of Interest (관심 영역 기반의 자동 노출 조절 알고리즘을 적용한 다중 노출 차량용 스마트 카메라의 설계 및 구현)

  • Recently, many researches are carried out for Advanced Driver Assistant Systems(ADAS). Especially, many studies are carried out to analyze the road situation using road images. In order to improve the performance of the road situation analysis, it is necessary to acquire images with appropriate exposure time. In this paper, we design and implement multi exposure smart vehicular camera which provides road traffic information to driver. Proposed device can acquire road traffic information by on-board camera and various sensors. And we propose an auto exposure control algorithm for the road environment to increase accuracy of image recognition. In addition, we also propose the switching ROI method that apply existing ROI techniques to overcome a limited computation power of embedded devices. We developed prototype of multi exposure smart vehicular camera and performed experiments to evaluate proposed auto exposure control algorithm and switching ROI method. The results show that the average accuracy of image recognition increased by 13.45%.

  • Quantitative Evaluation of Image Quality using Automatic Exposure Control This it leads, the relationship of control and image between of photographing condition, DR proper use method proposing. Chest phantom acquires Chest PA images which it follows in conditional change, Image evaluation factor (SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio), CNR (Contrast to Noise Ratio), PSNR (Peak Signal to Ratio), RMS (Root Mean Square)). It excepted RMS price, SNR, CNR, PSNR the case which uses AEC it came out being high The fact that the quality of image is better there was a case which does not use AEC. but Price it was slight. Image qualitative it was deficient in AEC use presence. Through this, the overall situation and most efficient use of radiation workers is better suited. But Passive AEC use would be appropriate for use rather than proactive AEC.

  • This paper discusses about the development of a visual sensor that can be installed in an automatic mooring device to detect the berthing condition of a vessel. Despite controlling the ship's speed and confirming its location to prevent accidents while berthing a vessel, ship collision occurs at the pier every year, causing great economic and environmental damage. Therefore, it is important to develop a visual system that can quickly obtain the information on the speed and location of the vessel to ensure safety of the berthing vessel. In this study, a visual sensor was developed to observe a ship through an image while berthing, and to properly check the ship's status according to the surrounding environment. To obtain the adequacy of the visual sensor to be developed, the sensor characteristics were analyzed in terms of information provided from the existing sensors, that is, detection range, real-timeness, accuracy, and precision. Based on these analysis data, we developed a 3D visual module that can acquire information on objects in real time by conducting conceptual designs of LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) type 3D visual system, driving mechanism, and position and force controller for motion tilting system. Finally, performance evaluation of the control system and scan speed test were executed, and the effectiveness of the developed system was confirmed through experiments.
