Context aware computing is an emerging paradigm to achieve ubiquitous computing environments by enabling computer systems to understand their situational contexts. A context aware system uses context to provide relevant information and services to the user depending on the user's task. In this paper, we propose an ontology based context aware modeling methodology that transmits low level contexts acquired by directly accessing various sensors in the physical environments to high level contexts. With these high level contexts, context aware application can provides proactive and intelligent services using ECA (Event Condition Action) rules. We implemented a presentation service in smart office environment.

The service supporting structure for users in ubiquitous computing environment requires technology that divides efficiently resources shared around users according to users context. So, needs research that analyze service items and resources that is offered according to users context information and divide adaptively necessary service and resources. Therefore, in this paper we proposes an intelligent P2P mobile agent that recognizes users context using portable mobile devices and is available for intelligent service by sharing serviced item according to users' context. The proposed structure removes monopoly for specific resources, and supports effective users context-awareness and service.

Situation awareness services which increasingly expand their influence in everyday life can be classified into location-based service and social network service. Their quality of service (QoS) can be differed based on the location accuracy of smart phones and accuracy of directional recognition technology. This study was conducted to analyze GPS, digital compass, radio communication, and geospatial web information which can provide a clue in using the situation aware services based on lab experiments and surveys. According to the result of lab experiment on accuracy of determining location / direction with smart phones, owing to inherent lack of indoor accuracy in determining position and direction, as well as errors in spatial data used as platform, it was found that devices were not provided with sufficiently accurate data when using the situation aware services indoors compared to outdoors. To enhance accuracy of determining indoor positions, there are several methods including location metering based on Wi-Fi, which had several problems compared with GPS used in outdoor environment. Thus, it was determined that more study would be necessary to solve these issues.

일반적으로 상황 인식 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 가전 제품이나 건물에 센서를 장착하여 사용자의 위치를 파악하고 이에 알맞은 상황 인식 서비스를 제공한다 그러나 이러한 경우에는 많은 수의 센서를 설치해야 함으로 설치 및 유지보수 비용과 전력소모가 않았다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위하여 단지 3가지센서(자이로 센서, 컴퍼스 센서, 초음파 센서)만을 장착한 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)를 이용한 홈 네트워크에서의 상황 인식 서비스를 제안한다. 센서를 장착한 PDA를 이용하여 사용자는 제어하거나 상태 정보를 원하는 가전 제품을 가리키게 되고 센서 데이터 값을 이용하여 사용자에게 유용한 상황 인식 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다.

최근 언제 어디서나 네트워크에 접속할 수 있고, 모든 사물이 네트워크로 연결되어 있는 편재형 (Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 편재형 컴퓨팅을 위해서는 사용자 주변의 상황을 감지하는 상황인식(Context Awareness)과 감지된 상황에 대해서 알맞은 서비스를 하기 위한 미들웨어가 필요하다. 또한 이러한 지능적인 서비스를 하기 위해 상황을 편리하게 표현할 수 있는 체계적인 언어가 필요하나, 이러한 언어에 대한 연구는 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 상황 인식 처리를 위한 상황 정의 스크립트 언어에 대해서 설계한다.

본 논문에서는 상황 정보를 이용하여 사용자에게 필요한 정보를 효율적으로 제공하는 개방형 아키텍처 하에서의 상황 인식 추천 서비스를 설계한다. 상황 인식 서비스에서는 다양한 기기에 대해 서비스를 제공해야 하기 때문에 개방형 아키텍처가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이질적인 장치에서 공통적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 OSGi 프레임워크를 이용하였고, 웹서비스를 이용하여 플랫폼과 어플리케이션에 독립적인 통신 환경을 제공한다. 그리고 상황에 따라 관심도를 측정하여 효율적으로 정보를 제공한다. 이러한 설계를 통해 유비쿼터스의 이질적인 환경에서 사용자에게 필요한 적절한 정보를 적시적지에 받을 수 있도록 하였다.

This paper proposes an implementation of an orchestration service of web services, which work as context aware applications in Ubiquitous Computing. The proposed method alms to decrease the cost of adapting to the context changes. UC requires the context adaptation more than any other computing environments, and it works based on networks of various heterogeneous platforms. Web services on SOA could be one of the solutions for the requirements. This paper proposes the way how to implement an orchestration service of SOA to handle the context adaptation while keeping the performance high. We develops an implementation model of orchestration services of web services, and the model decreases the number of code lines of the orchestration service. This paper also shows a simple empirical study, and it also analyzes two different method implementing the polymorphism, overloading and overriding.

In this paper, it provides social network service using context-aware for tourism. For this the service requires Anthropomorphic natural process. The service object need to provide the function analyzing, storing and processing user action. In this paper, it provides an algorithm to analysis with personalized context aware for users. Providing service is an algorithm providing social network, helped by 'Friend recommendation algorithm' which to make relations and 'Attraction recommendation algorithm' which to recommend somewhere significant. Especially when guide is used, server analysis history and location of users to provide optimal travel path, named 'Travel path recommendation algorithm'. Such as this tourism social network technology can provide more user friendly service. This proposed tour guide system is expected to be applied to a wider vary application services.

네트워크 환경과 컴퓨팅 기술이 발전하고 모바일 디바이스의 수가 증가함에 따라 상황 인식 서비스(Context-Aware Service)의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 최근 몇 년 동안, 상황 인식 서비스(Context-Aware Service)를 실현하기 위한 여러 연구가 진행되었지만, 해결해야 할 문제점들이 남아있다. 기존의 접근 방법들은 상황에 적합한 서비스나 추천 알고리즘을 도입함에 있어서 특정 응용(Application)이나 영역(Domain)에 종속적이고 유연성이 떨어진다는 문제가 있다. 또한 온톨로지 추론 엔진에 서비스 제공을 위한 대부분의 정보 표현과 추론을 전가하기 때문에 실제 서비스에 활용할 수 있는 정도의 성능을 기대하기 어려우며 확장성(Scalability)이 떨어진다. 본 논문에서는 서비스 요청과 서비스 처리 계층으로 계층을 분리하고 두 계층에서의 온톨로지 추론 엔진과 관계형 데이터베이스의 역할을 명확히 정의함으로써 이와 같은 문제점들을 해결하는 실용적(Practical)인 상황 인식 서비스 전달 프레임워크(Context-Aware Service Delivery Framework)를 제시하고. 시나리오를 통해 서비스 프로세스를 설명한다. 제시된 프레임워크는 현재 프로토타입의 개발을 진행 중이다.

The smart home environment focuses on recognizing the context and physical entities. And this is mainly focused on the personalized service supplied conversational interactions. In this paper, we proposed the recommendation using the context awareness based information filtering that dynamically applied by the context awareness as well as the meta data in the smart home. The proposed method defined the context information and recommended the profited service for the user’s taste using the context awareness based information filtering. Accordingly, the satisfaction of users and the quality of services will be improved the efficient recommendation by supporting the distributed processing as well as the mobility of services. Finally, to evaluate the performance of the proposed method, this study applies to MovieLens dataset in the OSGi framework, and it is compared with the performance of previous studies.
