To reduce costs and address other practical concern related to architectural lighting, we have been involved in various aspects of advanced daylighting design and control. If we look toward future building trends, we see that the advanced has already successfully deployed such complex lighting control systems. This paper takes a broad view of what advanced manufacturers have done to develop energy efficient lighting control technologies such as sensors, lumen maintenance, time of day scheduling, peak demand reduction and so forth. First of all strategies, daylighting controls would also need to be commissioned to respond to the specific daylighting signature of the zone. To translate the daylight in term of the amount of energy savings, an electric lighting system is designed and automatic on-off control system integrated with the contribution of daylighting has been applied to the operating of the artificial lighting. The lighting analysis program, Lumen-Micro predicts the optimal layout of conventional fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures to meet the designed lighting level and calculates unit power density, which translates the demanded amount of lighting energy.
The recent progress in multimedia signal processing and transmission technologies has contributed to the extensive use of multimedia devices to watch sports games with small LCD panel. However, the most of video sequences are captured for normal viewing on standard TV or HDTV, for cost reasons, merely resized and delivered without additional editing. This may give the small-display-viewers uncomfortable experiences in understanding what is happening in a scene. For instance, in a soccer video sequence taken by a long-shot camera techniques, the tiny objects (e.g., soccer ball and players) may not be clearly viewed on the small LCD panel. Moreover, it is also difficult to recognize the contents of the scorebox which contains the elapsed time and scores. This renuires intelligent display technique to provide small-display-viewers with better experience. To this end, one of the key technologies is to determine region of interest (ROI) and display the magnified ROI on the screen, where ROI is a part of the scene that viewers pay more attention to than other regions. Examples include a region surrounding a ball in long-shot and a scorebox located in the comer of each frame. In this paper, we propose a scheme for raising viewing experiences of multimedia mobile device users. Instead of taking generic approaches utilizing visually salient features for extraction of ROI in a scene, we take domain-specific approach to exploit unique attributes of the soccer video. The proposed scheme consists of two modules: ROI determination and scorebox extraction. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme offers useful tools for intelligent video display on multimedia mobile devices.

In order to provide the real time and proper information to the pedestrian who is using the transport connection and transfer center through data collecting and processing process, the design of the test-bed (Gimpo airport)'s communication construction and the technology of the pedestrian location tracking has been researched. The design of the communication construction should make sure that it can provide believable data to the user of the transfer center. At the same time, the location tracking should also be considered, so that the require of the communication efficiency and the location tracking efficiency can be met together. In order to make the efficient location tracking technology, the problems related to the commercial technology based real time location identification will be resolved and the new approach method was proposed and be applied and analysed to the test-bed. The wireless access points can be located in the most real-world situation which has added the characteristics of the real building to the electronic map, and through the analysis of theirs location, they can be set as the mainly necessary points for the communication construction design and the location tracking and the method to locate that points has been proposed. How to set, how to apply it to the test-bed and the examination result will be introduced in this paper.
In most service organization, salespeople are the most visible representatives of the company. Salespeople are exposed to greater ethical pressures than individuals in many other jobs. In this context, the salesperson's ethical behaviour can play a critical role in the formation and maintenance of long-term buyer-seller relationships. Moreover, it can even generate liability problems for salespeople's organizations through both intentional and inadvertent statements. The purpose of this research focuses on the analysis of the role of ethical sales behaviour, as perceived by customer, in developing and maintaining relationship between the salesperson and the customer. Thus this study examines the relationship among perceived ethical sales behaviour, customer satisfaction, customer trust, and customer loyalty. The results of empirical analysis can be summarized by the following: First, perceived ethical sales behaviour had a significant direct effect on customer satisfaction, customer trust and customer loyalty. Second, customer satisfaction had a positive effect customer trust and customer loyalty. Third, perceived ethical sales behaviour had a significant indirect effect on customer loyalty through customer satisfaction and customer trust. Therefore, These finding will spawn both academic and practitioner interest in the salesperson's ethical sales behaviour and serve as a foundation for further research in this important area.

In this paper, we propose a traffic lights detection method using visual attention and spot-lights detection. To detect traffic lights in city streets at day and night time, the proposed method is used the structural form of a traffic lights such as colors, intensity, shape, textures. In general, traffic lights are installed at a position to increase the visibility of the drivers. The proposed method detects the candidate traffic lights regions using the top-down visual saliency model and spot-lights detect models. The visual saliency and spot-lights regions are positions of its difference from the neighboring locations in multiple features and multiple scales. For detecting traffic lights, by not using a color thresholding method, the proposed method can be applied to urban environments of variety changes in illumination and night times.
In this research, we have extracted historical records regarding the geotechnology from the Goryeosa and the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty which are rated as ancient books that have objective views in the Goryeo Dynasty and the Joseon Dynasty in order to understand the national awareness and the social situation of the past events. We used the Korean history database system of National Institute of Korean History (NIKH) and collected related records by searching specific keywords such as volcano, mining, hot spring, and meteorite. According to the historical records, geological events such as the volcano and meteorite were regarded as important issues which were enough to be recorded in annals and surveyed by the dispatched government officials to the fields of events. In case of the hot springs, government officials conducted explorations of hot springs at king's orders and developed the potential areas of hot springs. Among the historical records on mining, the contents of geotechnology including the contents about discovered minerals and its locations can be easily found from those ancient books. Especially, it is possible to understand the history of geotechnology such as an establishment of modern organizations and a capitalistic flow for development through the history of the mining in the late Joseon Dynasty.
With the rapid development of science and technology and their increased impacts on our society, we witness a growing recognition of the importance of engineers' social responsibility and their professional ethics. Especially, the introduction of EC2000 and ABET into engineering education has been contributed to reinforce the systemization of ethics instruction. However, we could not attain the educational goal of integration of engineering education and ethics by general declaration of its importance. We need to deal with the vital questions how to institutionalize and implement engineering ethics in engineering curriculum. This article focuses on three aspects. First, it mainly outlines the developments and the traits of engineering education in American universities. Second, by classifying the engineering ethics education into several patterns, we discuss the characteristics and implications according to those Patterns. Third, it is helpful to explore the way how we could apply these patterns to Korean engineering education. It is expected to combine the stand-alone engineering ethics lectures with ethics -across -the -curriculum considering each university's circumstances and resources. Still, many challenges remain, most notably the need for engineering faculty and non-engineering faculty to cooperate and accept for engineering ethics education.
Major corporations and portals have implemented a link server that connects Content Management Systems (CMS) to the physical address of content in a database (DB) to support efficient content use in web-based environments. In particular, a link server automatically connects the physical address of content in a DB to the content URL shown through a web browser screen, and re-connects the URL and the physical address when either is modified. In recent years, the number of users of digital content over the web has increased significantly because of the advent of the Big Data environment, which has also increased the number of link validity checks that should be performed in a CMS and a link server. If the link validity check is performed through an existing URL-based sequential method instead of petabyte or even etabyte environments, the identification rate of dead links decreases because of the degradation of validity check performance; moreover, frequent link checks add a large amount of workload to the DB. Hence, this study is aimed at providing a link server that can recognize URL link deletion or addition through analysis on the B-tree-based Information Identifier count per interval based on a large amount of URLs in order to resolve the existing problems. Through this study, the dead link check that is faster and adds lower loads than the existing method can be performed.

Internet of Things (IOT) technology is rapidly becoming a reality in many parts of our lives through various products and services. Currently, the perception of Internet services for things is becoming common, and the B2C (Business to Consumer) market is explosively increasing as consumers are increasingly willing to purchase Internet devices. In particular, the economic effects of the Internet based smart home sector are known to be very large, and global manufacturers are launching various consumer oriented products based on smart home services. However, current smart home service products are closed systems because they provide independent devices for each manufacturer and provide only specific devices and services linked to them. There is a need for an environment that can provide intelligent smart home service through linkage between objects or services, and a controller that can provide smart control is needed. Therefore, this paper proposes a smart home remote control that can control the Internet devices and services of objects. The proposed smart home remote control provides an environment in which users can directly rescue services through the IFTTT automated service platform, which is an independent platform for each manufacturer.

The rebar detailing is an important work influencing the final performance and quality of RC structures. But it is one of the most irrational and illogical activity in construction site. Many groups of workers, including main contractors, structural engineers, shop drawers, rebar fabricators, and etc., participate in this activity. A loosely-organized process for this activity is apt to produce a big amount of rebar loss or even degraded structures. A 3-dimensional rebar auto-placing system, called as Rebar Hub, has been designed and implemented in this research. Rebar Hub provides a totally integrated service from 3D structural modeling of buildings to rebar auto-placing considering anchorage, splice, and the length of ordered rebar. In addition, Rebar Hub can recognize the 2D drawing CAD files and then build 3D structural models which are used for the start point of 3D rebar auto-placing. After rebar auto-placing, each members of the 3D structural model have rebar information belonging to them. It means that the rebar information can be used for the afterward works such as quantity-survey, manufacturing and fabrication of rebars. Rebar Hub is showing outstanding performance while applying to practical projects. It has almost five times productivity and reduces the rebar loss up to 3~8% of the initially-surveyed amount of rebar.
