Market Definition and System Analysis of Paid Broadcasting Services (유료방송서비스의 시장 획정과 제도 분석)

  • This paper defines markets relating to each paid broadcasting service by applying the test method of critical sales loss to the results of survey to the paid service subscribers. The result confirms the existence of a meaningful competitive relationship--in terms of the Competition Law--among all paid broadcasting services included in this study, or at least analog cable broadcasting, digital cable broadcasting, and real time IPTV(Internet Protocol TV) service. This indicates that current regulations which are being applied to cable TV, satellite broadcasting, and IPTV are actually discriminatory. Based on these analysis results, this paper suggests that the main attention for the improvement of regulations should be focused on regulations which are differently applied to different paid service providers. In particular, Article 20 in the Internet Multimedia Broadcasting Law is interpreted as defining the real-time IPTV as an independent market, thereby having leeway to harm fair competition among different paid service providers. Therefore, that article needs to change to give the right of equal access to contents to all the competing paid service providers. Furthermore, to put teeth in the contents equal access rule, most popular pay channels need to be designated as target contents of the rule. As for the market-share limitation regulations, the paper suggests that an upper limit on the market share should be set based on the total number of subscribers of all the competing paid services and the same limit applied to all the competing paid service providers.

A Study of Predictability of VKOSPI on the KOSPI200 Intraday Jumps using different Jump Size and Trading Time (점프발생 강도 및 거래시간에 따른 변동성지수의 KOSPI200 일중 점프 예측력에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the information contents of KOSPI200 Options for intraday big market movement by using minute by minute data. The major findings are summarized as follows; First, big market movement occurred more frequently during 9:00~10:00 and 14:00~14:50. These phenomena reflect market unstability just after opening and near closing. Second, VKSOPI is most closely associated with extreme changes such as KOSPI200 jumps. Third, VKOSPI is showed more predictive power with negative KOSPI200 jumps than KOSPI200 jumps. Fourth, VKOSPI showed predictive power for the positive and negative jumps up to 30 minutes before the jumps occurs. The purpose of this study is to explore the most recent topics in the field of finance, research on market microstructure. This study is an important contribution to investigate intraday information comprehensively in terms of market microstructure effects using the 15-year long-term and the high-frequency data(minute by minute). The results of this study are expected to contribute to detect intraday true jumps, proactive development of market risk indicators, risk management, derivatives investment strategy.

An Empirical Analysis on the Appeal Case of Origin Verification for Korean Import Goods Using Bootstrapping Technique (부트스트랩 기법을 활용한 한국 수입 상품의 원산지검증 불복사례 실증분석)

  • Under the FTA agreement, preferential tariffs between FTA members will result in tariff reductions. In order to ensure the stable use of the FTA tariff system, it is necessary for the customs authorities to determine whether the origin goods are clearly applicable. This study analyzed the procedure of appeal according to the origin verification system based on the decision made by Korea Customs Service and Tax Tribunal. From this, we examined whether the rate of re-claiming a case rejected in the 'Review System of the Legality Before Taxation' differs. In addition, we carried out a quantitative analysis using bootstrapping technique in order to overcome the scarcity cases of verification of origin among FTA members. The implications of this paper are summarized as follows: First, we tested the hypothesis that the re-claiming rate of Western countries is higher. Second, some issues represented higher re-claiming rate. Third, there was no significant difference between the verification group and the re-claiming rate. Finally, even if an applicant makes a claim again, there is a possibility of being rejected again.

The Structural Relationships among the Related Variables of University Students' Satisfaction (대학생의 만족도와 관련된 변인들 간의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the structural relationships among the related variables of university students' satisfaction. This study utilized nation-wide survey data previously collected from 1400 students distributed across 32 universities in Korea. NCSI model was used as a theoretical framework. Using the AMOS 17.0, the structural relationships among six variables were tested, including students' expectancy level, perceived quality, perceived value, satisfaction, complaint rate, and loyalty. The major findings of the study are as follows: First, students' expectancy level had a positive effect on perceived quality; but had no significant effect either on perceived value or on satisfaction. Second, perceived quality had positive effects on perceived value and satisfaction; and perceived value also had a positive effect on satisfaction. Third, students' satisfaction had a negative effect on complaint rate; but had a positive effect on loyalty. Fourth, students' complaint rate had a negative effect on loyalty. The study results imply that among the related variables of students' satisfaction, perceived quality and value of the products work as critical variables, and complaint rate and loyalty directly relate to students' satisfaction. The study suggested that in order to enhance students' satisfaction, universities employ the total quality system and the students' complaints resolution system.

Characteristics of New Ever-bearing Strawberry 'Gwanha' Cultivar for Ornamental Horticulture (관상용 사계성 딸기 '관하' 육성)

  • 'Gwanha' is new strawberry (Fragaria ${\times}$ ananassa Duch.) cultivar, which was released by Highland Agriculture Research Center, Rural Development Administration, in 2011. In 2007, this cultivar was originated from a cross between 'Sucambodiaberry' and 'Selva' that showed excellent ever-bearing characteristics including continuous pink flowering habit under long-day and high temperature condition. It was named 'Saebong No.4' after examining its characteristic and productivity in summer culture from 2009 to 2011. After characteristic and productivity test in 2011, 'Gwanha' was selected as an elite cultivar. The general characteristics of 'Gwanha' include spreading type, middle vigor, elliptic leaf, and long cluster in growth. The fruit shape is wedge, and the red fruit is edible and unique among the domestic ornamental strawberry cultivars. Flower color of 'Gwanha' is pink, and flower cluster is more appearance than 'Pinkpanda'. The average fruit weight of 'Gwanha' is about 7.8 g and the marketable yield is relatively low because of low marketable rate. It is resistant against fusarium wilt. 'Gwanha' is suitable for four season cultivation as an ornamental strawberry cultivar because it shows continuous flowering habit under long-day and high temperature condition.

Effect of Oriental Melon Vinegar Treatment on Growth and Disease Control of Oriental Melon (참외식초 처리가 참외 생육 및 병충해 방제에 미치는 영향)

  • Oriental melon vinegar was prepared by two stage fermentations of alcohol and acetic acid. In the alcohol fermentation using oriental melon residual products, alcohol content showed 7.43% in 17$^{\circ}$ brix of initial sugar concentration and 80 h of fermentation time. In the acetic acid fermentation using oriental melon alcohol, acidity showed 5.25% in 250rpm of agitation rate and 200 h of fermentation time. The cultivation esults of oriental melons using its vinegar are as follows. Quantity and quality of samples treated with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar were higher than that of control : weight, quality, sugar content and goods production rate were higher to degree of 33∼42 g/piece, 370 ∼460kg/10a, 0.6∼.9$^{\circ}$ Brix, 2∼5%, respectively. Coods production yield of samples treated with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar was higher (400∼610 kg/10a) than that of control. The results of control of powdery mildew on oriental melons using oriental melon vinegar as the diluted solution with 500 and 1000 times were identical for control value that used by agrochemical. Powdery mildew were exterminated by 2nd treatment of the diluted solution. In case of aphids, the diluted solution with 500, 1,000 and 2,000 times of oriental melon vinegar exterminated thoroughly by 2nd treatment.

Growth and Yield of Wasabi Cultivated in Cold Water Drained from Trout Nursery (송어양식장 배출냉수 이용 재배시 고추냉이의 생육 및 수량)

  • We investigated rhizome yield and growth characteristics of wasabi variety, Daioichigo and Daruma cultured by flowing water from Trout nersery in Pyong Chang. Average temp. of air and water during a year was 14.3, 12.3$^{\circ}C$, respectively in PE film house. Wasabi growth was good and healthy in May and October. Rhizome weight of main stem in Daioichigo was 78.78g per plant and 608kg per l0a, while those of the Daruma was 37.1g per plant and 287kg per l0a. Rate of marketable rhizome was 90% in Daioichigo and 37.5% in Darurna. Rhizome weight of main stem in Daioichigo was increased, up to 21% of the control by the remove of floral axis with two times a year.

  • 2018년 5월 전라북도 남원군에서 재배하여 수확 후 $0^{\circ}C$ 저장고에서 예냉을 마친 산마늘을 사용하였으며 외 포장 상자는 골판지로 구성된 통기공이 없는 골판지상자 1kg용을 사용하였다. 골판지상자와 함께 내부 포장으로 사용하기 위한 내포장 필름은 $20{\mu}m$ 두께의 HDPE으로 된 필름 봉지, 흡습종이는 파라핀왁스 코팅 종이($32{\times}35cm$, 태영산업)를 이용하여 조합 처리하고 국내에서 개발한 기능성 필름2종으로 포장처리는 총 4가지로 (1) PE(관행) (2) PE+흡습지 (3) 기능성필름1($30{\times}58cm$, 기능성물질 1%+40,000OTR, 제조사: 신영산업사) (4) 기능성필름2($30{\times}58cm$, Key fresh, 제조사: 씨앤케이프로팩(주)) 각 처리당 1kg 씩의 산마늘 잎을 포장하였다. 실험은 포장 처리 후 상온상태로 전북 완주군 실험실까지 수송하였으며 실험실 도착 후 상온 실험실에 두고 2일과 6일 후 중량감소율, 색도, 엽록소, 손실률 및 종합선도 등 품질특성 변화를 조사하였고 각 포장방법별 온도와 상대습도 변화를 보기 위하여 산마늘 잎이 포장된 상자 내부 중앙 부분에 디지털온습도기록계(SP-2000-20R)를 고정한 후 측정하였다. 대조구로 사용한 PE필름 단용으로 포장한 산마늘 잎은 상온저장 6일 경과 후 중량 소율이 1.7%, PE필름+신선지 처리는 1.0%, 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2는 거의 중량감소가 없어 1% 미만의 변화를 보였다. 산마늘 잎의 SPAD 값에 의한 엽록소 수치와 색도를 측정한 명도($L^*$)와 Hue angle 값의 변화는 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2가 유사하게 높게 유지되었고 반면에 PE필름은 저장 2일 후 부터 값이 감소하기 시작하여 6일 후 크게 감소하였다. 저장 6일 후 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2가 외관품위에서 높은 평가를 받아 상품성을 유지하고 있었으나 PE필름 처리와 PE필름+흡습지 처리는 상품성을 상실한 상태였다. 이러한 경향은 건전율에 있어서도 유사하였으며 기능성필름1(다공성 나노 물질이 혼입되어 있으며 산소투과율을 $40,000cc/m2{\cdot}day{\cdot}atm$으로 조성한 필름)이 상온저장 6일 후 상품성을 유지하는 건전율이 83%로 가장 높았다.

A Study on Consumer's Perception and Preference for Providing Information of Fashion Products by Using QR Code (QR 코드를 이용한 패션제품의 정보제공에 대한 20대 소비자의 인식과 선호조사 연구)

  • The present study explored consumer's perception and preference on providing information of fashion products by using QR code and suggested the possibility for consumer-to-consumer and consumer-to-company connection. A survey was conducted on males and females in their 20s-a population among whom the rate of smart phone penetration is higher than in any other age group and who tend to exchange information online. The results showed that consumers are dissatisfied with the amount of information, terms of instructions, and ambiguous washing symbols currently provided. Therefore, the study identified the need for better methods of providing information and found that QR code, which is able to deliver high-quality information on fashion products, can be an efficient alternative. Moreover, respondents felt the need for detailed washing instructions, information on handling, and functionality of material on high-involvement fashion products such as outdoor, padding, suit, and underwear worn next to the skin. They also desire styling tips or purchasing information such as SNS OOTD (Outfit Of The Day) utilizing the product, other products that may go well with the one purchased, and similar products on casual wear and coat used on a daily basis. Therefore, QR code used as a link to information web pages or a social network can help consumers to satisfy information needs and to use the products effectively.

Forecasting methodology of future demand market (미래 수요시장의 예측 방법론)

  • The method of predicting the future may be predicted by technical characteristics or technical performance. Therefore, technology prediction is used in the field of strategic research that can produce economic and social benefits. In this study, we predicted the future market through the study of how to predict the future with these technical characteristics. The future prediction method was studied through the prediction of the time when the market occupied according to the demand of special product. For forecasting market demand, we proposed the future forecasting model through comparison of representative quantitative analysis methods such as CAGR model, BASS model, Logistic model and Gompertz Growth Curve. This study combines Rogers' theory of innovation diffusion to predict when products will spread to the market. As a result of the research, we developed a methodology to predict when a particular product will mature in the future market through the spread of various factors for the special product to occupy the market. However, there are limitations in reducing errors in expert judgment to predict the market.
