Comparative Analysis of Prediction Performance of Aperiodic Time Series Data using LSTM and Bi-LSTM (LSTM과 Bi-LSTM을 사용한 비주기성 시계열 데이터 예측 성능 비교 분석)

  • Since online shopping has become common, people can easily buy fashion goods anytime, anywhere. Therefore, consumers quickly respond to various environmental variables such as weather and sales prices. Therefore, utilizing big data for efficient inventory management has become very important in the fashion industry. In this paper, the changes in sales volume of fashion goods due to changes in temperature is analyzed via the proposed big data analysis algorithm by utilizing actual big data from Korean fashion company 'A'. According to the simulation results, it was confirmed that Bidirectional-LSTM(Bi-LSTM) compared to LSTM(Long Short-Term Memory) takes more simulation time about more than 50%, but the prediction accuracy of non-periodic time series data such as clothing product sales data is the same.

The Impact of Retailer‘s In-store Tactics on Store Performance in case of Variety Enhancer and Fill-ins Categories (다양성 추구용과 구색용 카테고리에 대한 소매입체의 점포 내 전술 실행이 점포성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The major objectives of this study are twofold. The first is to discover which in-store tactics influence store performance when a retailer implements category management in variety enhancer and fill-ins categories. The second is to analyze how and why specific in-store tactics achieve better or worse performance than other in-store tactics across categories. The data were collected using scanner data and direct observations in 'A' discount store which is one of the representative discount stores in Korea. The in-store tactics were measured by product assortment, temporary price discount, price and non-price promotion, and shelving. The store performance was measured by sales and gross margin return on inventory investmant(GMROI). Empirical results analyzed by multiple regression were as follows: In variety enhancer category, the significant factors affecting sales were product assortment, temporary price discount, price promotion, and shelving. Non-price promotion also influenced GMROI positively but product assortment impacted on GMROI negatively. In fill-ins category, the significant factors affecting sales and GMROI were product assortment and shelving. However, the other factors such as temporary price discount, price promotion, and non-price promotion had no significant influence on both sales and GMROI. This paper presents a number of theoretical and managerial implications of the empirical results and concludes by addressing limitations and future research directions.

  • Derivatives can be easily bought by those companies that need to hedge foreign currency debt or foreign currency assets through the financial market, considering their exchange rate exposure from international trade. The derivatives market has been growing rapidly due to the needs for investment and hedging. To manage foreign exchange risk, companies hedge risks through financial derivatives. According to our study, hedging is an effective way to mitigate the impact of exposure to exchange risk, as long as companies are only hedging underlying assets. Yet, covetous attitude toward the profit from derivatives and unexpected changes in exchange rate can cause problems for companies. This study analyzed the structural risks of derivatives with analysis of system dynamics. In particular, many companies suffered substantial loss due to KIKO during the economic crisis. We explained the problem therein through dynamic analysis. In addition, we revealed the structural problem that could cause a sudden spike in losses through simulations.

EAN-14 for Managing Drug Supply (의약품 물류정보화를 위한 표준 바코드 체계)

  • 현재 국내의 바코드 체계는 거의 모든 항목에 관하여 KAN-13 코드의 체계를 이용하고 있으며, 이는 상품정보에 관련하여 국가코드, 제조업체코드, 상품품목코드, 체크디지트의 4개 부분에 각각의 성질에 따른 내용을 담아 그 상품의 특성을 나타낸다. KAN-13은 상품 각각의 성질을 나타내는 데에는 문제가 없지만 매입, 매출 및 재고업무 관리 등의 물류정보에 관련된 정보를 자동화·전산화하기 위해서는 적합하지 못하다. 이를 보충하기 위해 KAN-13 코드의 체계에 한 자리의 물류 식별코드가 추가되어 박스 단위를 표시할 수 있는 EAN-14 코드 체계의 도입이 필연적이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 국내외 각 분야에 사용되어 진 EAN-13 코드와 EAN-14 코드의 사례를 비교 분석하여 국내의 EAN-14 코드 사용의 필연성을 제시하였고, 각 분야 중 특히 의약품의 사례를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 향후 EAN-14 코드의 체계는 좀더 구체적이고 광범위한 정보를 담고 있는 바코드 체계인 EAN-128 코드 체계의 구현을 위한 기반을 조성하게 될 것이다.

  • 인터넷과 멀티미디어 기술의 급속한 성장에 따라 웹을 기반으로 한 전자상거래가 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 구매자들은 보다 합리적이고 현명해졌고 또한 개성화 경향의 심화로 구매자 자신에 맞는 특별한 서비스를 원하고 있다. 그러나 현재의 대부분의 전자상거래 서비스는 구매자가 물건의 모습이나 사양을 보고 선택하는 상품 카탈로그 수준의 상태에 있다. 구매자의 욕구를 만족시키기 위해서는 단순한 상품정보를 제시하는 것에서 벗어나 판매점원의 지식을 이용한 판매점원 에이전트가 필요하다. 이러한 판매점원 에이전트를 이용하면 고객은 상품 탐색 시간을 급격히 줄일 수 있고 구매자 취향에 맞는 쇼핑을 할 수가 있으며 판매자 입장에서는 차별화 된 고객관리를 할 수가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실제 상점에서 존재하는 판매점원의 일을 대신해 주는 사이버상의 판매점원을 지능형 에이전트, 즉 지능형 판매점원 에이전트(ISCA : Intelligent Sale Clerk Agent)를 이용하여 구매자의 취향에 적합한 상품들을 쇼핑할 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 엣지컴퓨팅 환경에서 딥러닝기반 추천모델을 이용한 지능형 디지털 사이니지 플랫폼을 제안한다. 제안하는 플랫폼은 서버와 엣지로 구성되어 있다. 서버는 데이터를 관리하고, 광고추천 모델을 학습시키며, 엣지는 학습된 광고추천 모델을 이용하여 실시간으로 광고될 상품을 결정한다. 광고추천 모델은 상품을 선별하는 단계와 구매확률을 예측하는 단계로 구성되어 있다. 선별단계에서는 DNN에 벡터화된 사용자 기본정보와 상품 메타데이터를 입력하여 구매할 만한 상품을 도출한다. 최종적으로 군집의 예측된 구매확률을 이용하여 가장 적합한 광고를 선정한다. 제안하는 시스템은 서버와 통신하지 않고 엣지에서 학습된 모델로 광고를 결정한다. 이를 다수의 사용자에게 즉각적인 반응을 필요로 하는 디지털 사이니지에 적용했다.

The Operational Method of the RFID Identification System for National Product Asset Management (국가물품자산관리를 위한 RFID 식별코드체계 운용방안)

  • In this research, we propose the operational method of the RFID-based NPI (National Product Identifier) which can manage product assets for the Korean government in the future. First of all, we present the operational concept of the national product asset management. Second, we suggest the structure of the NPI which accommodates ISO/IEC 15459 and the method to encode NPI and related data to ISO/IEC 18000-6C tags. Finally, we propose the operational business processes to generate and manage NPI in the stages of product procurement and product asset management.

  • In this study, products in a B2B online shopping mall were classified efficiently using DEA, and an operational process is presented. The results using the data of M company were used to calculate the workload according to the category. The work load of managing the product using the DEA has been distributed evenly. In addition, the classification of A is composed of the highest net income, and it was intended to be managed centrally by the company. Business classifications C and B, which were made of a low severity workload, were reduced. Therefore, efficient operation is possible when applied to an actual business.

  • Recently, several sporting events have been canceled or postponed due to the influence of COVID-19's imposed social distancing in life, or are being played without spectators. As a result, the market for sports products has been stagnant, and many are experiencing difficulties. To get over it, sports market players are exploring various new markets such as online fan services and online sales. Therefore, this study proposed a way to manage the authenticity of sports-related products. The block structure, system flow, and network model were designed and prototypes were developed accordingly. Experts were invited through the derived method to conduct a target group interview (FGI) to evaluate the reliability and stability of the transaction process, the reliability and stability of payment, the tracking of accidents, and the reliability and stability of the system. Through this study, consumers can have reliability when trading sports-related products such as goods, favorite items, and sign balls.
