Study of Factors Affecting to Discrepancy between Self-Reported and Body Weight and Height (신장(身長) 및 체중(體重)의 실측치(實測値)와 상용치간(常用値間)의 오차(誤差)에 영향을 미치는 인자(因子))

  • Screening data from preplacement and periodic examination in Gu Mi Industrial Estate from May, 1983 to June, 1983 provide an opportunity to evaluate the accuracy of self-reported height and weight. The data for men and women were analyzed separated for effects of age, marrital status, educational level, employment status, measured height, measured weight and relative weight (percent of ideal body weight). The mean percent discrepancy from self-reported and measured height was analysed by cross-tubulation, P. value for analysis of variance and multiple correlation analysis in men and women. It is clear from the data that self-reported height and weigt differ from the quantities in systemic ways. But the magnitude of misreporting is very small on average except for weight in women. Whereas height tend to be over-reported, weight is under-reported in women but over-reported in men. Weight was accuracte for age group 20-29 years in men and age group over 40 year in women and over-reporting of weight increased with age in men and under-reporting of weight decreased with age in women. Weight was accurate in 60-64kg group in men and under 50kg group in women and under-stating of weight increased with weight in men and women. Weight was the most accurate in 100-109 percent relative weight group in men and in 90-99 percent relative weight group in women and under-stating of weight increased with relative weight and over-stating decreased with relative weight and over-stating decreased with relative weight in men and women. Height was the most accurate for group of primary school and except group of primary school, accuracy of height increased with educational level in men and women. In height, the highest measured height groups (over than 175cm measured height in men and over than 165cm measured height in women) were the most accurate and of over-reporting of height decreased with measured height. Single variable regression analysis and ANOVAs showed age(P<0.003), measured weight(P<0.0001) relative weight(P<0.0001), educational level(P<0.0005) and employment status(P<0.0007) to be significantly related to ${\Delta}WT$ in women and measured height(P<0.0001), educational level(P<0.03) and marrital status (P<0.03) to be significantly related to ${\Delta}WT$ in men. The women were more sensitive about her body weight than height.

Local Model Checking for Verification of Real-Time Systems (실시간 시스템 검증을 위한 지역모형 검사)

  • Real-Time verification is a procedure that verifies the correctness of specification related to requirement in time as well as in logic. One serious problem encountered in the verification task is that the state space grows exponentially owing to the unboundedness of time, which is termed the state space explosion problem. In this paper, we propose a real-time verification technique checking the correctness of specification by showing that a system model described in timed automata is equivalent to the characteristic of system property specified in timed modal-mu calculus. For this, we propose a local model checking method based on the value of the formula in initial state with constructing product graph concerned to only the nodes needed for verification process. Since this method does not search for every state of system model, the state space is reduced drastically so that the proposed method can be applied effectively to real-time system verification.

  • In this paper we discuss Moore and Mealy-model Time-stationary control schemes of pipelined data paths of Application Specific, Integrated Circuits (ASICs). We developed a method to synthesize both a Moore and a Mealy-style Finite State Machine(FSM) controller specifications given a pipelined data path with conditional branches. The control synthesis task consists of the generation of control specification and the FSM synthesis. The control specification procedure generates a FSM specification in the form of a state table. The different partitioning schemes are applied to each FSM controller so as to minimize the total area. Experimental results show the characteristics of the two different control styles and the effects of these two models on cost and performance.

  • 식각, 증착 등의 플라즈마 활용 공정에서 공정 결과들이 예상치 못한 편차를 보이거나 시간에 따른 공정 결과의 드리프트가 발생하는 등의 문제는 공정 수율 향상 뿐 아니라 공정 결과 생산하게 되는 제품의 성능을 결정짓는다는 점에서 중요하다. 그 결과 공정의 이상이 발생 되는 것을 감지하기 위한 다양한 장치 및 알고리즘들이 등장하고 있으나, 현재 공정 상태 변화를 진단하는 것은 공정 장치에서 발생된 신호 변동을 통계적으로 처리하는 수준에 머무르거나 플라즈마 인자들의 값 자체를 진단하는 정도에 그치고 있다. 본 연구에서는, 향후 물리적 해석을 기반으로 한 공정 진단을 위한 알고리즘을 세우는 것을 목표로 하여 공정 결과에 민감하게 영향을 주는 플라즈마 내부 전자의 열평형 상태의 미세한 변동을 감지하고 이를 통하여 공정 결과에 영향을 주게 되는 장치 내 물리적, 화학적 반응들의 변동 메커니즘을 이해하고자 하였다. 외부에서 감지하기 힘들기 때문에 장치 상태에 변동이 없는 것으로 보이지만 실제로는 변동하고 있는 플라즈마의 미세한 상태 변화를 보여줄 수 있는 물리 인자로는 잦은 충돌로 인하여 빠르게 변동에 대응할 수 있는 전자들의 열평형 특성을 살펴보는 것이 적합하다고 판단하여 광신호를 통해 전자 에너지 분포함수를 진단할 수 있는 모델을 수립하였다. 이 모델의 적용 결과를 활용하면 전자들의 열평형이 주변 가스 종의 반응율 변동에 주게 되는 영향을 해석할 수 있다. 실제로 ICP-Oxide Etcher 장치에서 장치 내벽 오염물질 유입 및 공정 부산물의 장치 내 잔여로 인하여 식각율로 표현되는 공정 결과에 최대 6%의 편차가 발생하게 되는 메커니즘을 해석할 수 있었다.

  • Constitutive relations for lightly overconsolidated state of clayey soils. as well as normally consolidated state of those, play an important role in the analyses of geotechnical structures in clay deposits. For the practical point of view, a constitutive model applicable to lightly overconsolidated soils should be developed to easily evaluate the model parameters, and to precisely predict the various behavior of OC soils. For that purpose, a constitutive model for the lightly overconsolidated soil behavior has been proposed to rep- resent the undrained behavior which can be normalized using equivalent pressure, p. , Yielding within the initial yield surface is modeled exclusively using the given normally consolidated model parameters only. Furthermore, the proposed model can be applied to consider the effects of overconsolidation, secondary consolidation, and stress relaxation. The measured behavior in undrained triaxial tests has been Predicted easily and precisely in comparison with other models.

  • This paper proposes a continuous-time queuing model of a shared-buffer packet switch and an approximate algorithm. N arrival processes have heterogeneous busty traffic characteristics. The arrival processes are modeled by Coxian distribution with order 2 that is equivalent to Interruped Poisson Process. The service time is modeled by Erlang distribution with r stages. First the approximate algorithm performs the aggregation of N arrival processes as a single state variable. Next the algorithm discompose the queuing system into N subsystems which are represented by aggregated state variables. And the balance equations based on these aggregated state variables are solved for by iterative method. Finally the algorithm is validated by comparing the results with those of simulation.

  • 현재 소프트웨어 산업에서 자연어 요구사항의 정확한 분석 연구는 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 문법적인 분석만을 통해 해석하는 것이 일반적이다. 본 연구는 요구공학과 언어학 그리고 카툰 공학을 접목을 제안한다. 이를 위해서, 1) 언어학적 관점에는 촘스키의 구문 구조 분석 이론과 필모어의 의미역 이론을 결합하여 문법적, 의미적 분석을 수행한다. 2) 요구공학 관점에서는 요구사항 분석으로 상태 모델 속성 추출 및 접목한다. 3) 카툰 공학에서는 3D 이미지 생성한다. 또한, 해결 못했던 동사와 형용사에 대해 분석하여 범위를 확장한다. 즉 언어학적 분석을 바탕으로 UML 상태 다이어그램을 추출하고, 이를 3D 상태 이미지 생성한다. 본 연구는 AI 기술(Text to Image)에 소프트웨어 공학적 방법에서의 절차적인 공정과 재사용 적용함으로써, AI 내부 작동 원리에 대해 체계적으로 연구하고자 한다.

  • Recent massive data generation by genomics and proteomics requires bioinformatic tools to extract the biological meaning from the massive results. Here we introduce ROSPath, a database system to deal with information on reactive oxygen species (ROS)-mediated cell signaling pathways. It provides a structured repository for handling pathway related data and tools for querying, displaying, and analyzing pathways. ROSPath data model provides the extensibility for representing incomplete knowledge and the accessibility for linking the existing biochemical databases via the Internet. For flexibility and efficient retrieval, hierarchically structured data model is defined by using the object-oriented model. There are two major data types in ROSPath data model: ‘bio entity’ and ‘interaction’. Bio entity represents a single biochemical entity: a protein or protein state involved in ROS cell-signaling pathways. Interaction, characterized by a list of inputs and outputs, describes various types of relationship among bio entities. Typical interactions are protein state transitions, chemical reactions, and protein-protein interactions. A complex network can be constructed from ROSPath data model and thus provides a foundation for describing and analyzing various biochemical processes.

Effect of Partially Restrained Connections on Seismic Risk Evaluation of Steel Frames (강 뼈대 구조물의 지진위험도 평가에 대한 부분구속 접합부의 영향)

  • The effect of partially restrained(PR) connections and the uncertainties in them on the reliability of steel frames subjected to seismic loading is addressed. A stochastic finite element method(SFEM) is proposed combining the concepts of the response surface method(RSM), the finite element method(FEM), the first-order reliability method (FORM), and the iterative linear interpolation scheme. The behavior of PR connections is captured using moment-relative rotation curves, and is represented by the four-parameter Richard model. For seismic excitation, the loading, unloading, and reloading behavior at PR connections is modeled using moment-relative rotation curves and the Masing rule. The seismic loading is applied in the time domain for realistic representation. The reliability of steel frames in the presence of PR connections is calculated considering all major sources of nonlinearity. The algorithm is clarified with the help of an example.

  • This paper describes about the method for designing an extended Kalman filter to accurately measure the position of the spatial-phase system using a semiconductor sensor. Spatial position is expressed by the correlation of the rotated coordinate system attached to the body from the inertia coordinate system (a fixed coordinate system). To express the attitude, quaternion was adapted as a state variable, Then, the state changes were estimated from the input value which was measured in the gyro sensor. The observed data is the value obtained from the acceleration sensor. By matching between the measured value in the acceleration sensor and the predicted calculation value, the best variable was obtained. To increase the accuracy of estimation, designation of the extended Kalman filter was performed, which showed excellent ability to adjust the estimation period relative to the sensor property. As a result, when a three-axis gyro sensor and a three-axis acceleration sensor were adapted in the estimator, the RMS(Root Mean Square) estimation error in simulation was retained less than 1.7[$^{\circ}$], and the estimator displayed good property on the prediction of the state in 100 ms measurement period.
