In this study, we tried to represent representative animals in traditional dance and study about cultural symbolic representations that symbolize them, thus meaning Korean worship of animal worship and philosophy of life and discuss the identity of Korean traditional art. This is to ask fundamental questions about Korean culture and art, and to express the cultural philosophical reason for the representation of animal imitation. Therefore, Korean animal imitation dance was able to get a glimpse of Koreans' recognition of artistic value which is reflected in dance beyond simple cultural code. In other words, it was found that not only magic and sexual metaphors but also the adaptive attitude through natural friendly life and the ethical practice in reality were inspired by artistic aesthetics.

In this study, the development of traditional contents is to be enabled to succeed the values of the heritage on the song sang during dry-field farming of Bongpyeong Memil-dorikkaejil-sori. In addition, the identity on the heritage of songs sang during farming were diagnosed, and their value in context with the history and the value as the community for succession are emphasized as the value of cultural asset to expand the discussion up to the level of traditional cultural industry works. In the Bongpyeong Memil-dorikkaejil-sori, the intrinsic artistic value, the excellence of value as the educational experience, factor for overcoming the extinction of farming songs, and the promotion direction of the storytelling on buckwheat were provided. This is breaking from the formalization and being old-fashioned on the Bongpyeong Memil-dorikkaejil-sori to focus on the symbolization of the agricultural heritage in the modern context, habituating and spreading the gene of slash-and-burn field (hwajeon or budaeki). In terms of methodology on awareness, historicity or creativity, alternative method on the folk songs in labor was provided by having critical mind on the Bongpyeong Memil-dorikkaejil-sori and buckwheat songs. By reviewing the field contextualization of designating the intangible cultural asset, suggestions were made on activating the succession, and even the method of symbolic registration on the heritage of buckwheat farming was mentioned. Heritage on agricultural culture that can represent Pyeongchang and Gangwon must be discovered to be made into a brand. In addition, the uniqueness in the Madang 'Song Madaengi Traditional Music' must be found to apply as the brand on the point in which the people around the world can have consensus for utilization. As the farming song, rediscovery of the Bongpyeong Memil-dorikkaejil-sori is required to create the sustainable status as the multi-purpose cultural contents and provide the network of professionals for activating the folk songs to enable the opportunity of qualitative substantiality and spread instead of quantitative growth. In addition, festivals for each region, especially the festival for Pyeongchang area must be utilized centrally on the development of farming songs to organize the storytelling actively.

Works engraving enlightenment and ethnic identity by giving meaning and lesson to past events and great people against the past can be one of the good ideal art film contents. The animation reproduces the existing cultural archetypes, situation and history, when the 'Book of Kells' was produced, and the myths of the Kelts tribes. This thesis analyzes the history the kelts, traditional patterns and formative symbolism shown in , and studies the cultural preservation method unique to animation contents. In conclusion, the movie not only suggests a methodology that animation content is an effective way to preserve the culture and history of the native people, but also pursues the eternal, enlightening and teaching people for history.

This study analyzes the technical level and shows the priority technology for suspension bridges that play an iconic role as the country's landmark and contain an economic value. Analysis results show the technical level of suspension bridge is 82 percent compared to developed countries. In detail, the technical levels of 'materials', 'planning and design', and 'construction and maintenance' are 80.2 %, 81.7%, and 83.7% respectively. This study analyzes economic, social, technical importances and presents 'high-performance packaging material' as a priority technology.

This study analyzed the brand storytelling campaign of Pasteur drink-type yogurt 'Quebyon'. The basic idea of research comes from how unique brand name is able to success in Korean yogurt market. Pasteur storytelling campaign has focused on the product's branding and positioning. For analyzing the research, Brand Stewardship Model(BSM) which based on consumers' perspectives has been used. For successful storytelling campaign of Pasteur, strong brand name is needed. Pasteur has decided the brand name 'Quebyon' which means good movement of the bowels in accordance with the research results. And the positioning has been decided 'attack inside (the body) if it does not evacuate'. For powerful positioning, three criterions are decided. They are including harmony with the brand name, differentiation with competitors and easiness with memory. Finally, the Pasteur product dominates the Korean Bulgarian-style yogurt market. The success comes from the harmonizing of Quebyon yogurt's branding and positioning. In other words, the branding and positioning strategies were working effectively to the consumers. In conclusion, this study has proved why branding and positioning strategies are so important in brand storytelling campaign.

Paper currency is a cultural symbol sign representing identity of a nation as well as a tool of barter system and a measure of value. The purpose of this study is to analyze the design characteristics shown in the pattern of the paper currencies of advanced countries and Korea and to make comparative analysis of the image type of each nation as a cultural code. The results show that 1) the usability of paper currency design was evaluated by denominations, size type, color, braille system and the paper currencies of Switzerland and EU were judged superior to those of the other counties. 2) The national image type represented paper currencies was classified as 'state oriented type' and 'culture & art oriented type'. The countries of Korea, U.S.A, Japan etc. have on the paper currencies the ruling class who contributed to organizing the national system foundation emphasizing their nationalism. In the case of European countries, their paper currencies reveal a variety of citizen who have contributed to art, science, music, architecture without distinction of gender and this fact puts an emphasis on egalitarianism and equality of both senders and importance or cultural art. 3) Paper currency design of Switzerland, Netherlands, France, U.K. was visualized as an art work with utilization of work-type subject, brilliant color, CG technique, unique layout etc. This study provides us with a valuable opportunity to examine the present state of the Korean paper currencies design in Comparison With those of the world's advanced countries. It is expected that this study could be a resource material for new paper currency design and emphasize the importance of the paper currencies representing a national image as a cultural design.

The initial situation in our tale shows that the earth-mother-feminine principle disappeared from the center of the collective consciousness into the collective unconscious. Therefore the heaven-father-masculine principle is dominant, which is represented by the king. And in the king's daughter, who is living without mother, the positive father complex is working. She stays in the heaven-spirit world playing with the golden ball, which can be seen as the state of inflation. She is disconnected from the earth-mother-feminine principle, which is important for a woman to find her genuine feminine identity. This demanded principle approaches her through the frog, a bewitched prince. Psychologically it means that a man is under the power of the negative mother complex. The disgusting, ugly frog is a symbol for the shadow, the earthly animal instincts of the princess. Only with his help she can find her golden ball again, which has fallen into the deep well. Their talk about the rewards to him for his help shows us very well the opposites. The frog wants the feminine value such as relation, earthly eros, but the princess offers the masculine value such as heavenly logos. After the frog brought her the lost ball, i.e. she regained her libido, she completely forgot her promise. Like this the content, which is becoming conscious, here the shadow, is easy to fall back into the unconscious and to be repressed. The frog cannot be with the princess without the help of the king, a father figure, a firm protector of the collective oder. At first unwillingly the princess obeys Logos of her father. But her authentic instinctual urge grows stronger and it causes that her ego is released from the power of her father complex. At just this moment the frog turns into a prince, i.e. he is liberated from the mother complex. The marriage of princess and frog-prince symbolize the unification of the opposites: heaven becomes earthly and earth becomes heavenly. Three iron bands, wrapped around the heart of Heinrich, a young king's servant, are snapped, while he brings the prince and princess back to his kingdom. The heart, the place of earth-mother-feminine consciousness, is now liberated. This principle, which disappeared into the unconscious, emerged into the collective consciousness and the wholeness is recovered. The Self is now leading the collective consciousness, which includes not only the principle of Logos but also Eros.

Typography's original meaning was printing by a plate or a printing type. Nowadays, Typography covers graphic design that composes types visually. Typography has an important mean because of two functions-linguistic and image building functions. Typography helps conveying information and making images. As new media appears, audio-visual factors take an important role. Therefore Typography's image building function be more important than linguistic function. This thesis will handle the relationship between typography and game contents. Park Wan-seo's novels deal with realistic topics of society, such as women's issues, the capitalist system, and the problems that come with old age. Assuch, her work is used as a tool to analyze social phenomena in various fields, such as women's studies, sociology, and literature. A characteristic style of Park Wan-seo's novels is that she bases them on her own experiences. However, among her novels, the novel Mimang is exceptional. The plot is based on stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. This is to show the spirit of the times through the unforgettable story of her hometown, Gaesong. Mimang is the story of a family chronology that spans four generations centered on Chun Cheu-Man and his family, who became powerful capitalists through the cultivation and commerce of ginseng cultivation. Set in the late 19th century until the end of the Korean War, the novel unravels the essence of the times symbolized by merchants of ginseng and Gaeseong, focusing on the actions of people living in a period of historical turbulence. Gaeseong is the mecca of Korean ginseng, and Gaeseong cannot be portrayed without the story of ginseng and its merchants. Therefore, Mimang, a fictionalized story based on real facts, contains valuable testimony of the history of ginseng, not only as historical values of modern history and personal customs but also as microhistory. In the novel, traces of the times of Gaeseong and the spirit of ginseng merchants, as shown in the Japanese sacking of ginseng during the colonial period, the resistance of ginseng merchants, and the conversion of ginseng capitalism to modern capitalism, are imprinted like fossils. What is especially meaningful is that the stories in the novel correspond to historical facts and constitute a chapter in the history of ginseng. The symbolism of ginseng in the novel can be explained in three main ways. First, it shows the essence of Korean ginseng. It reveals the soul of ginseng through the sincerity and rigor of ginseng farming, as well as the spirit and pride of ginseng. Second, it symbolizes the exploitation of ginseng in Japan as a national issue. The efforts of ginseng merchants to protect this and support the independence movement are presented as important themes to express nationalism. Third, it shows the modern capitalist progressiveness of Gaeseong ginseng merchants, who do not stay in landownership and commercial capital, but convert them to productive capital and contribute to society by modernizing them. The three symbolisms show the spirit of the times of the Gaeseong ginseng merchants, clearly revealing the meaningful relationship between the Korean people and ginseng.

우리나라의 명실상부한 최고 휴양지. 외국인들이 가장 찾고 싶어하는 곳. 바로 제주도를 이르는 말이다. 제주도는 지난 11월 12일 '뉴세븐원더스(New7wonders)'에 의해 '세계 7대 자연경관'으로 선정됐다. 이를 통해 제주도는 우리나라 국민들은 물론, 전세계인들에게 관광지 및 자연유산의 산실로 더욱 큰 사랑을 받을 것으로 전망된다. 최근 이곳에 아주 의미있는 건물이 들어서고 있다. 바로 제주세계자연유산센터다. 제주의 관광을 상징하고 국제적 위상에 걸 맞는 탐방인프라를 구축하고자 추진해 온 세계자연유산센터는 지난해 8월 착공에 들어가 내년 6월에 준공될 계획에 있다. 이 센터는 제주 자연유산의 관리 및 보전을 위한 연구와 모니터링 활동을 하게 된다. 쉽게 말해 제주도의 모든 자연 문화적 유산을 이 제주세계자연유산센터에서 통괄적으로 관리, 운영하게 되는 것이다. 이렇게 사회적으로 큰 의미가 있는 제주세계자연유산센터가 만약 안전하지 못하다면? 안전이 확보되지 않는 공정과 시민들의 안전을 담보지 못하는 시설이라면, 전세계인은 물론 지역민, 국내관광객 모두에게 외면 받을 수 밖에 없다. 때문에 이곳 건설현장은 '안전'을 최고의 가치로 여기며 공사를 진행하고 있다. 제주도를 찾는 국내외 관광객들의 쉼터이자 길라잡이 역할을 하게 될 제주세계자연유산센터가 안전하게 만들어지는 과정을 한 번 들여다 봤다.
