This study is performed to find out the climb performance of light airplane, Chang Gong-91, as a part of flight test to acquire the certification. Chang Gong-91 is a 5-passenger light aircraft of normal category with single reciprocating engine, and the first officially certified by Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation in 1993. These flight test procedure and data for climb performance are used to get type certification. We have got maximum climb rate for operating altitude, best angle of climb speed, best rate of climb speed, and absolute ceiling of Chang Gong-91 using drag polar data reduction method from sawtooth climb flight data. Also we compare the form drag coefficient from the results of climb performance and Oswald's effectiveness coefficient to design values using lift-drag curve of light airplane.

Notable are the burning rate characteristics of solid propellant burning at extremely high pressure(10000-20000 psia). The burning rate test using closed bomb shows the discontinuous increment around 4000 psia so that the exponent of burning rate(n) is almost double, from 0.4 to 0.8. The pressure-increasing rate of the test motor is about 300 times as high as that of the motor operating at the conventional pressure, less than 2000 psia, is, therefor the burning rate is augmented about 5-50 times. The performance prediction reflecting the pressure-change-rate effect are fairly comparable with the test data at various test conditions.

Slip form method is applied to many cases of a shaft these days because it is safer, more economical and faster than cast-in-place method. Slip-up height of the method is approximately 2.5 to 4.0 m/day. If the temperature of concrete is outside the range of 10 to 30℃, the effects of changes in strength or elastic characteristics are significant. Therefore, it is difficult for slip-up speed to be higher than 3 m/day during winter construction. In addition, concrete has heat caused by hydration, which causes temperature cracking of hardened concrete. Therefore, temperature control of concrete curing is necessary for the continuous slip-up of slip form. In this study, the rebound hardness, time of ultrasonic waves propagation, heat of hydration, and external temperature are measured by developing heating panels and test devices for the continuous slip-up. Based on this, heating slip form is manufactured; this was applied to "Kimpo sites" and "Sinwol sites". The compared slip-up speed samples were 1.9 m/day or 0.200 m/hr on average at Gimpo sites (08:00~17:30) and 2.0 m/day or 0.210 m/hr at Sinwol sites.

Characteristics of size, rising velocity and distribution of liquid drops have been investigated in a immiscible liquid-liquid fluidized-bed whose diameter was 0.102 m and 2.5 m in height. Effects of velocities of dispersed (0~0.04 m/s) and continuous (0.02~0.14 m/s) liquid phases and fluidized particle size (1, 2.1, 3 or 6 mm) on the liquid drop properties in the extractor have been determined. The resultant flow behavior of liquid drops became more complicated with increasing the velocity of dispersed or continuous liquid phase. The resultant flow behavior of liquid complicated with increasing the velocity of dispersed or continuous liquid phase. The resultant flow behavior of liquid drops depended strongly upon the drop size and its distribution. The drop size increased with increasing dispersed phase velocity, but decreased with increasing particle size. However, the size of liquid drop exhibited a local maximum with increasing continuous liquid velocity. The size and rising velocity of liquid drops have been well correlated in terms of operating parameters.

Hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage are generated essentially by the same hydration. Many researchers have studied the close relationship between hydration temperature and autogenous shrinkage but hardly any research has been undertaken to explain the specific numerical relation. In this study, early age properties of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage of specimen whose section size was changed were analyzed, and relationship between hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage was investigated. In the results of the study, inner temperature and autogenous shrinkage increased as the section size increased. And rise and rise ratio of hydration temperature and autogenous shrinkage in hydration heating section and autogenous shrinking section are increased too. Temperature rise and autogenous shrinkage rise increased respectively, as hydration heating velocity and autogenous shrinking velocity increased. And autogenous shrinkage rise and autogenous shrinking velocity increased as hydration heating velocity increased.

The early setting time of concrete is an important factor determining the slip up velocity of the slip-form system. Accordingly, need is for a technique evaluating the early setting time in order to secure the safety of the slip-form system and the construction quality of concrete. This paper intends to estimate the early setting time by evaluating the setting degree of concrete using surface wave velocity so as to determine the slip up time of the slip-form system. Penetration resistance test and compressive strength test are performed first to clarify the relationship between the early setting time of concrete and the compressive strength. Then, compressive strength test and ultrasonic wave test are conducted to examine the relation between the compressive strength and the surface wave velocity. Continuous wavelet transform is adopted to measure the surface wave velocity. Numerical analysis is carried out to demonstrate the appropriateness of the application of continuous wavelet transform. Based on these results, the propagation velocity of the surface wave required for the slip up of slip-form system is suggested. Finally, a reduced model test of the slip-form system is conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed surface wave velocity for the determination of th slip up velocity.

This study was conducted to find out the influence of elevated atmospheric $CO_2$ concentrations and air temperature on photosynthesis and fruit quality of 'Fuji'/M.9 apple trees and to investigate these to the effects of climate change during the last four years (2009-2012). The treatments employed were: 'Ambient' (ambient temperature + ambient $CO_2$ concentration); 'High $CO_2$' (ambient temperature + elevated $CO_2$ concentration); 'High Temp'. (elevated temperature + ambient $CO_2$ concentration); and 'High $CO_2$ + High Temp'. (elevated temperature + elevated $CO_2$ concentration). The elevated temperature plots were maintained at $4^{\circ}C$ higher than ambient air temperature, while the elevated $CO_2$ plots were maintained at 700 ${\mu}mol{\cdot}mol^{-1}$. Annual treatment period was applied from end of April to beginning of November for four years. Results showed that elevated $CO_2$ decreased stomatal conductance and leaf SPAD value, but increased photosynthetic rate, intercellular $CO_2$ concentration (Ci), and starch content of mesophyll tissue. In the vegetative growth, elevated temperature increased total number of shoot and total shoot growth per tree, but elevated $CO_2$ decreased average shoot length. In the fruit quality, elevated $CO_2$ increased soluble solid content, fruit red color, and ethylene production. In conclusion, elevated $CO_2$ increased photosynthetic rate of apples during the early growth, but effect of increased photosynthetic rate due to elevated $CO_2$ was decreased during latter growth stage. Elevated temperature, on the other hand, tended to decrease photosynthetic rate of apples during the early growth, but that tended to increase during latter growth stage. Both elevated $CO_2$ and temperature tended to decrease the degree of decreased photosynthetic rate due to each factor.
Characteristics of solid circulation rate in the liquid-solid circulating fluidized beds with viscous liquid medium were investigated. Effects of primary and secondary liquid velocities, particle size, liquid viscosity and height of solid particles piled up in the solid recycle device on the solid circulation rate were considered. The solid circulation rate increased with increasing primary and secondary liquid velocities, liquid viscosity and height of solid particles in the downcommer, but it decreased with increasing particle size. The particle rising velocity in the riser decreased with increasing the ratio of $U_{L1}/U_{L2}$ and particle size. The slip velocity of liquid and particle, $U_L/U_S$, decreased with increasing liquid viscosity but it increased with increasing particle size. The values of solid circulation rate were well correlated in terms of operating variables and dimensionless groups.

It has been reported that the magnitude and the development rate of autogenous shrinkage of cement paste, mortar and concrete were affected by history and magnitude of inner temperature at an early age. But it was not enough to explain the relation between hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage at an early age, because there was no certain analysis on histories of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage in previous studies. In our prior study, to understand the relationship between hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage of concrete at an early age, the analysis method for histories of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage was suggested. Based on this method, early age properties of hydration heat and autogenous shrinkage of high strength concrete with different sizes and hydration retardation were investigated in this study. As a result of the study, properties of hydration temperature and autogenous shrinkage were different according to specimen size and hydration retardation. However, there was a close relationship between hydration temperature and autogenous shrinkage at an early age, especially between HHV and ASV as linear slopes of the sections where hydration temperature and autogenous shrinkage increase rapidly; the higher HHV, the higher ASV and the greater ultimate autogenous shrinkage. And it was found that, among the setting time, bend point and temperature increasing point, they were close relationship each other on cement hydration process.
For this study, the semi-adiabatic temperature rising test is accomplished by using ternary system cement (OPC, BFS, FA) reducing temperature crack. Two tests are conducted; one is for the paste test, and the other is for the concrete test. As the results of paste tests, using fly ash is better to reduce hydration temperature than doing blast furnace slag. In the case of the paste mixed ternary system cement, the more fly ash is mixed and the less blast furnace slag is used, the lower the temperature is. The less the mixture ratio of blast furnace slag is and the more the mixture ratio of fly ash is, the later the temperature rising velocity and descending velocity are. Besides, the temperature is lower if water/binder ratio is high. The use of ternary system cement has the retardation effect of temperature rising because the time to reach the maximum temperature is in the order of OPC100, binary system cement, and ternary system cement. From the test, the maximum temperature of concrete used ternary system cement is $8{\sim}11^{\circ}C$ lower than that of concrete used OPC100. Moreover, temperatures rising velocity and descending velocity of ternary system cement range $47{\sim}51%$ and $37{\sim}42%$ compared with OPC100. The specimen of concrete shows remarkable low internal temperature and slow temperature rising velocity and descending velocity compared with the specimen of paste because it is that temperature loss of concrete is much more than paste specimen according to aggregates.
