The Study on Daily Movement Patterns of Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis Inhabit in the Upper Part of the Nakdong River (낙동강 상류에 서식하는 열목어의 일주기 이동 패턴 연구)

  • To investigate seasonal (summer and fall) daily movement of Brachymystax lenok tsinlingensis that inhabit in upper part of the Nakdong River, we attached radio tags to seven individuals (summer: BL1-2; fall: BL3-7) and monitored them at an interval of 2 h. The survey results revealed that the average movement distance per day (m) (${\pm}SD$) of B. l. tsinlingensis was $182.4{\pm}79.2m$, and most of the individuals migrated within 1 km as their habitat boundary. The maximum movement distance per day (m) and the home range (m) during summer season were $550.5{\pm}75.5m$ and $649{\pm}53m$, respectively, compared to $283.8{\pm}55.1m$ and $186{\pm}32m$ during fall season. From these findings, it can be inferred that B. l. tsinlingensis exhibits seasonal changes in the distance of daily movement; however, it generally covers short distances without leaving the habitat boundaries during both seasons. The seasonal daily movement of B. l. tsinlingensis established in this study is expected to be useful in preserving their population.

3D Accuracy Analysis of Mobile Phone-based Stereo Images (모바일폰 기반 스테레오 영상에서 산출된 3차원 정보의 정확도 분석)

  • This paper analyzes the 3D accuracy of stereo images captured from a mobile phone. For 3D accuracy evaluation, we have compared the accuracy result according to the amount of the convergence angle. In order to calculate the 3D model space coordinate of control points, we perform inner orientation, distortion correction and image geometry estimation. And the quantitative 3D accuracy was evaluated by transforming the 3D model space coordinate into the 3D object space coordinate. The result showed that relatively precise 3D information is generated in more than $17^{\circ}$ convergence angle. Consequently, it is necessary to set up stereo model structure consisting adequate convergence angle as an measurement distance and a baseline distance for accurate 3D information generation. It is expected that the result would be used to stereoscopic 3D contents and 3D reconstruction from images captured by a mobile phone camera.

  • Up to now a lot of the study on ship collision avoidance systems has proceeded actively. However the frequency of ship collision accidents didn't decreased. If there is collision risk in close quarters situation none the less manouvering ship for collision avoidance according to the system, only use of TCPA and DCPA as input factor for collision risk decision is not useful to avoiding collision action. For the recent 5 years by the analysis of first observation distance about approaching ship in domestic collision accidents, nearly $45\%$ of accidents is close first observation less than 2 miles. Therefor it is essential part for safety navigations to study for collision avoidance action in close encounter. In this paper, as foundation study of supporting collision avoidance manoeuvring for navigators, we proposed ship collision avoidance support model in close quarters situation through analysis of collision accidents for effective getting rid of the causes.

2D Spatial-Map Construction for Workers Identification and Avoidance of AGV (AGV의 작업자 식별 및 회피를 위한 2D 공간 지도 구성)

  • In this paper, an 2D spatial-map construction for workers identification and avoidance of AGV using the detection scheme of the spatial coordinates based on stereo camera is proposed. In the proposed system, face area of a moving person is detected from a left image among the stereo image pairs by using the YCbCr color model and its center coordinates are computed by using the centroid method and then using these data, the stereo camera embedded on the mobile robot can be controlled for tracking the moving target in real-time. Moreover, using the disparity map obtained from the left and right images captured by the tracking-controlled stereo camera system and the perspective transformation between a 3-D scene and an image plane, depth map can be detected. From some experiments on AGV driving with 240 frames of the stereo images, it is analyzed that error ratio between the calculated and measured values of the worker's width is found to be very low value of 2.19% and 1.52% on average.

Localization of a Mobile Robot Using Ceiling Image with Identical Features (동일한 형태의 특징점을 갖는 천장 영상 이용 이동 로봇 위치추정)

  • This paper reports a localization method of a mobile robot using ceiling image. The ceiling has landmarks which are not distinguishablefrom one another. The location of every landmark in a map is given a priori while correspondence is not given between a detected landmark and a landmark in the map. Only the initial pose of the robot relative to the landmarks is given. The method uses particle filter approach for localization. Along with estimating robot pose, the method also associates a landmark in the map to a landmark detected from the ceiling image. The method is tested in an indoor environment which has circular landmarks on the ceiling. The test verifies the feasibility of the method in an environment where range data to walls or to beacons are not available or severely corrupted with noise. This method is useful for localization in a warehouse where measurement by Laser range finder and range data to beacons of RF or ultrasonic signal have large uncertainty.

GIS를 이용한 송전선로 주변의 전자파 분포 시뮬레이션 가능성 평가

  • 고압전류가 흐르는 송전탑이 주거 밀집지역 인근에 설치되거나 송전탑과 가까운 곳에 아파트가 건설되면서 주민들이 한전을 상대로 손해배상 청구소송을 추진하는 등 전자파 피해에 따른 민원이 끊이지 않고 있다. 이와 같은 문제에 대해 해결책을 제시하기 위해서는 송전선 주변 전자파의 실체에 대해 과학적이고 객관적인 조사를 거쳐 국민에게 납득할 수 있는 대안을 제시하는 것이 선행되어야할 작업이다. 그러나 현재 전자파 데이터는 조사 지점만의 단편적인 측정치를 보여주는 수준에 머물러 있어 전자파 확산 등 광역적인 분포 추이에 대한 시각적인 정보를 입수하는 데 상당한 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 GIS기반의 공간 모델링 기법을 활용하여 거리와 전류를 토대로 분포되는 송전선 주변의 전자파 시뮬레이션 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 이와 같은 문제에 대해 대안을 제시하고자, 지역주민이 일상생활에서 접하고 있는 지역의 지도(건물, 도로망 등)를 전자파 유동에 관한 이론에 의거하여 3차원 상에서 전자파 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 전자파 시뮬레이션 결과를 검증하기 위해 사용한 실측 데이터는 인천광역시 서구 가정2동에 위치한 봉수 초등학교의 학생들에게 전자파 측정장비를 부착하도록 하여 확보하였다 송전선에서 전자파 방출에 개입하는 거리와 전류의 세기에 의거하여 전자파의 분포를 예측하였으며 실측 데이터와 이론적인 데이터를 비교하여 상관성을 평가했다. 통상 전자파 조사과정은 지도에 표기된 조사지점을 일일이 확인하는 등 모든 측정 작업을 수작업에 의존하고 있다. 따라서 DB구축에 시간이 많이 소요되고 정확도도 많이 떨어질 수밖에 없어 다양한 조건으로 방대한 자료를 공간상에서 검색하는 것 자체가 불가능하였다. 전자파의 분포를 그래픽정보로 가공하여 광역적인 전자파 변화 추이를 풍부한 시각 정보로 디스플레이 하는 것도 어려웠다. 또한 수작업으로 인한 실수도 많이 발생하고 그에 따른 교정 작업도 복잡하였다. 본 연구에서는 송전선에서 방출되어지는 전자파의 이론적인 데이터와 실측 데이터의 상관성에 따른 분석 결과를 가지고 실측 데이터 없이 GIS 기반의 3D 시뮬레이션에 의거하여 전자파의 공간적인 가시화를 수행할 수 있었다. 본 전자파 시뮬레이션 기법이 실무에 이용될 경우, 일반인이 전자파의 분포에 대한 전문지식을 습득할 필요 없이, 검색하고자 하는 지역과 송전선, 전철 등 각종 전자파의 발생 공간 객체를 선택하여 실생활과 관련된 전자파 정보에 예측할 수 있어, 대민 환경정보 서비스 질의 개선측면에서 획기적인 계기를 마련할 것으로 사료된다.

Depth From Defocus using Wavelet Transform (웨이블릿 변환을 이용한 Depth From Defocus)

  • In this paper, a new method for obtaining three-dimensional shape of an object by measuring relative blur between images using wavelet analysis has been described. Most of the previous methods use inverse filtering to determine the measure of defocus. These methods suffer from some fundamental problems like inaccuracies in finding the frequency domain representation, windowing effects, and border effects. Besides these deficiencies, a filter, such as Laplacian of Gaussian, that produces an aggregate estimate of defocus for an unknown texture, can not lead to accurate depth estimates because of the non-stationary nature of images. We propose a new depth from defocus (DFD) method using wavelet analysis that is capable of performing both the local analysis and the windowing technique with variable-sized regions for non-stationary images with complex textural properties. We show that normalized image ratio of wavelet power by Parseval's theorem is closely related to blur parameter and depth. Experimental results have been presented demonstrating that our DFD method is faster in speed and gives more precise shape estimates than previous DFD techniques for both synthetic and real scenes.

An Analysis on Determinants of Balance of Payments of Korea and FTA Pursuing Countries (한국과 FTA 추진국간의 무역수지 결정요인 분석)

  • This study aims to analyse determinants of payment balance of Korea, targeting 65 countries which concluded FTA with Korea in 2012 or are pursuing it with Korea( effectuation, agreement, negotiation and joint research). For an analysis model, economic and geographical variables of target countries were included in explanatory variables of the gravity model and divided values which indicate surpluses or deficits in trade with Korea were marked in dependent variables to perform a logistic analysis. If payment balance in trade between Korea and specific countries is a surplus, a value of 1 is given and if it is a deficit, a value of 0 is given. As a result of estimating the logit model, it was discovered that variables of GDP, GDP per person, total trade with trade partners, petroleum, landlocked countries and maritime powers were not statistically significant. However, variables of total trade, export dependency, import dependency, distance and mineral were statistically significant.

  • This paper proposes new video signature using spatio-temporal information for copy detection. The proposed video copy detection method is based on concentric circle partitioning method for each key frame. Firstly, key frames are extracted from whole video using temporal bilinear interpolation periodically and each frame is partitioned as a shape of concentric circle. For the partitioned sub-regions, 4 feature distributions of average intensity, its difference, symmetric difference and circular difference distributions are obtained by using the relation between the sub-regions. Finally these feature distributions are converted into binary signature by using simple hash function and merged together. For the proposed video signature, the similarity distance is calculated by simple Hamming distance so that its matching speed is very fast. From experiment results, the proposed method shows high detection success ratio of average 97.4% for various modifications. Therefore it is expected that the proposed method can be utilized for video copy detection widely.

A Study on the Establishment of Specific Traffic Safety Areas at Pyeongtaek Port (평택항 교통안전특정해역 설정에 관한 연구)

  • This study expresses the necessity of recognizing Pyeongtaek Port as a specific traffic safety area to ensure the safety of the vessels that navigate there using quantitative data. The number of foggy days, pilotage distance, the number of large vessels and the number of fishing vessels that traveled between Pyeongtaek Port and 6 ports chosen as comparative study objects were compared and analyzed. The results showed that Pyeongtaek Port was more frequently affected by restricted visibility. With these perverse conditions, Pyeongtaek Port has a longer pilotage distance than Busan, Busan Newport, Ulsan or Pohang Ports by as much as 3.5-6 times. Especially from May to July, when fisheries were most functional, large vessels were required to navigate in an opposite direction to avoid 35 fishing vessels that were observed, creating an increased possibility for collisions among vessels. Therefore, the navigational safety of Pyeongtaek Port should be further secured by defining the approaching waters as specific traffic safety areas, giving large vessels legal priority over fishing vessels.
