An Evaluation of Elasticity Modulus and Tensile Strength of Ultra High Performance Concrete (강섬유 보강 초고성능 콘크리트의 탄성계수 및 인장강도 평가)

  • Recently, for UHPC (Ulta High Performance Concrete) which is researched actively, as the tensile strength is absolutely influenced on the content of steel fiber, in this paper, experiments of compressive strength, elasticity modulus and tensile strength were performed according to compressive strength and content of steel fiber as variables. By the test results, compressive strength, elasticity modulus and tensile strength are proportioned and have a good correlation and according to content of steel fiber, compressive and tensile strength are also proportioned and have a good correlation. In case of elasticity modulus, the difference between test and present design code is not large, so it is possible to adapt to present design code. On the other hand, in case of tensile strength, as there is no specification of present design code, new prediction equation is proposed by using nonlinear regression analysis and the proposed equation have a good correlation to test results.

Characteristics of Waves Continuously Observed over Six Years at Offshore Central East Coast of Korea (우리나라 동해안 중부 해역에서 6년간 연속 관측된 파랑의 특성)

  • This study presents the results of analysis for the wave data that were consecutively collected from February 2013 to November 2018 at the location of 1.6 km offshore from Namhangjin beach. The water depth at the location is 30.5 m and waves were measured by AWAC (Acoustic Wave And Current meter). By using wave-by-wave analysis and spectral analysis, wave heights and periods were evaluated and then the relationships between the quantities obtained by the two methods were proposed based on linear regression analysis. In addition, monthly and yearly variations of the significant wave height and period, and the peak wave direction were analyzed. Moreover, the relationship between the significant wave height and period was newly suggested. Variability and probability distribution of the significant wave period with respect to the significant wave height were also examined.

  • 본 기술 보고는 임계 열유속(Critical Heat Flux; CHF)을 예측하기 위해 사용되고 있는 상관식의 형태와 적용 방법, 이에 따른 예측 오차와 여유도의 변화 등을 종합적으로 분석한다. CHF 현상에 대해서는 지난 반 세기 동안 발생 메커니즘, 예측 모델, 설계에의 적용 방법 등에 대한 연구가 광범위하게 수행되어 대부분의 운전 조건에 대해 신뢰할만한 예측 모델들이 확립되어 있다. 그러나 예측 모델의 이용에서 가장 중요한 기준이 되는 예측 오차의 의미가 잘못 이해되는 경우가 많으므로, 이 글에서는 예측 모델의 형태 및 적용 방법에 따라 예측 오차가 달라지는 원인을 명확하게 해석하고, 실제 계산을 통하여 예시하였다. 그리고 상관식 형태 및 이용 방법에 따라 임계 열유속비(Critical Heat Flux Ratio: CHFR)와 임계 출력비(Critical Power Ratio; CPR)가 어떠한 관계를 갖는가를 논의하였다.

A Study of the Application of Relative Location System and Minute Classification System in the DDC (DDC의 상관식 배가법 적용과 분류체계 세분화에 대한 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to understand the application of relative location system and minute classification system in the DDC and to identify the effect of the relative location system and minute classification system during the late of 19th century. In order to achieve the objective, four main investigation areas were chosen: relative location system, minute classification system, and DDC influence to other libraries and classification systems. First, DDC applied a relative location system revolutionarily instead of a fixed location system for arranging books on the shelves, so it opened the period of modern library classification systems. Second, it used a minute classification system, and could classify books which had minute subjects. Third, it applied form to a criterion for dividing divisions and sections, so it helped for classifying books. Fourth, it used a numerical decimal system as a classification system, then people could use it economically and practically. Last, DDC influenced modern classification system such as the Expansive Classification and the Subject Classification etc. DDC is a suitable library classification system for the needs of the times, and it is a practical classification system for each library.

Estimation of Undrained Shear Strength of Very Soft Clay with the Slump Test (슬럼프 실험에 의한 초연약점토의 비배수전단강도 산정)

  • Undrained shear strength is estimated from laboratory tests generally, but the very soft or fluid material is generally incompatible with the test setup. In-situ methods require test to be accomplished at discrete time intervals, which does not provide a method to predict strength increment as a function of time for an ongoing project. Therefore, correlation between slump test value and undrained shear strength was derived through the regression analysis of slump test and laboratory vane shear test results. For the reliability of derived correlation equation statistical analysis using the t-distribution was performed and the comparison between the results of in-situ test and laboratory experiments demonstrated the applicability of the derived correlation.

The study on ship's manoeuvrability through the analysis of the relationship between hydrodynamic coefficient and ship hull parameter (선박 조종성능 연구를 위한 선체형상 파라메터와 유체력미계수와의 관계분석)

  • This study was carried out to examine the prediction of ship's manoeuvrability in initial design stage. New parameter representing basic hull form and stem shape were proposed. Captive model test were carried out to investigate the correlation coefficient between hydrodynamic coefficient and hull parameter. The results showed which parameter are positive correlation with hydrodynamic coefficient. Moreover correlation was examined between stem hull shape and ship's manoeuvrability. New empirical formulas for hydrodynamic coefficients were proposed These results can be used to predict a ship's manoeuvrability in initial design stage.

  • 지하수개발 이용의 허가시 지하수 양수로 인한 주변지역에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 지하수의 고갈과 오염을 예측하고 이를 사전에 방지함으로써 지하수의 보전과 합리적인 이용을 도모하고자 지하수영향조사제도가 시행되어 왔다. 특히 하천구역의 경계로부터 300미터 내의 지역에서 지하수를 개발 이용하는 경우에는 지하수영향조사서를 첨부하여 국토해양부장관과 미리 협의하도록 되어있고, 이 때 지하수개발 이용이 하천의 수량에 영향을 미친다고 인정하는 경우에는 취수량 취수 기간의 제한 및 취수 금지 등을 요청할 수 있다. 그러나, 하천인근의 지하수 양수가 하천수에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가할 수 있는 기법이 마련되어있지 않아 실무적으로 지하수영향조사 및 허가 절차상 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지하수 이용에 따른 하천수량 변화를 예측할 수 있는 간편 상관관계식을 지표수-지하수 통합모의 결과를 이용하여 유도 제시하였다. 지표수-지하수 통합모의를 위해서 SWAT-MODFLOW 결합모형을 적용하였고, 두 개의 시험유역에 대해 가상의 양수정 설치에 따른 하천수량 변화량을 평가하는 시나리오 분석을 수행하였다. 상관관계는 다중회귀분석을 통해서 하천수 감소량을 지하수 양수량, 하천과 양수정 이격거리, 대수층 및 하천바닥의 수리전도특성, 강수량 등의 함수로 나타내었다.

Dysmenorrhea in High School Girls and Its influencing Factors (여고생의 월경곤란증 실태 및 그 영향 요인)

  • The study is a descriptive research to determine high school girls' the status of dysmenorrhea and to look into influencing factors about how relationships between variables: sleep disturbance, stress, anxiety, dietary habit have an effect on dysmenorrhea. Our collected data consisted of 160 high school girls living in B metropolitan city. The study period lasted four weeks, going from Oct 12 to Nov 6, 2020. The resulting data was analyzed with SPSS/WIN 21.0 version to analyze. As a result of this study, The correlated factors of dysmenorrhea included sleep disturbance(r=.531, p<.001), stress(r=.349, p<.001), anxiety(r=.300, p=.003) and dietary habit(r=-.205, p=.041). The prevalent factors influencing dysmenorrhea are sleep disturbance, menstrual periods, menstrual cycles, and anxiety. Therefore, it will be needed to improve the quality of sleep, reduce anxiety, try to regulate menstrual periods and menstrual cycle in order to relieve high school girls' dysmenorrhea.

Estimation of Wood Oven-Dry Density by Using a Portable Dielectric Moisture Meter (휴대용 유전율식 수분계를 이용한 목재의 전건밀도 추정)

  • Tripitaka Koreana in Haein Temple, Hapcheon Province is the most historical and largest heritage in this country, however the species of their blocks have yet been unknown. A nondestructive test method is necessary to investigate their species. The oven-dry density of wood was measured by inversely using the principle of high frequency moisture meter. The oven-dry densities of more than 100 domestic species of specimens estimated by measurement method and high frequency moisture meter were compared and following conclusions were obtained. There was highly close correlation between the oven-dry density estimated by measurement method and the oven-dry density estimated by high frequency moisture meter. The densities of Tripitaka Koreana that was a global cultural heritage could be correctly estimated by using high frequency moisture meter and the equilibrium moisture content under which Tripitaka Koreana equilibrated, thus, it was expected to provide the key to species identification.

Development of Model Equations for Strength Properties with Age in Concrete Pavement (재령에 따른 포장용 콘크리트의 강도특성 예측식 개발)

  • This study was carried out to find reliable relations between various concrete strength properties which are used as input data in concrete pavement design program. Concretes were made from different sources of coarse grained(granite, limestone and sandstone) and fine grained aggregates such as natural sand, washed sand and crushed sand. From strength test results, model equations were obtained based on the relation between strengths. For each coarse grained aggregate, models for compression-flexural strengths, compression-split tensile strengths, compressive strength-modulus and flexural-split tensile strengths with age were obtained. For concrete mixed with gneiss granite aggregates, concrete strengths were obtained from numerical mean values of concrete strengths mixed with fine grained aggregates. In addition models for concrete split tensile strengths and modulus values were provide by averaging numerically the estimated values obtained from the derived relationship and the experimental values. This is due to more scattered values of split tensile strengths and modulus values than other strength properties. Finally criteria for drying shrinkage strain as well as Poisson's ratio for concrete used in pavement were presented for all mixes with differed coarse grained aggregates.
