''기업의 기술 및 프로세스 혁신을 통한 에너지 절감''을 주제로 한 이날 설명회에는 에너지관리공단의 ''자발적에너지절약협약'' (VA) 우수기업에 4년 연속 뽑힌 SKC와 최첨단 통합운항관리시스템을 도입해 항공유를 $10\%$이상 절감하고 있는 대한항공이 각각 에너지 절감 성공사례를 발표했으며, 삼성에버랜드는 국내 시장점유율 1위의 ESCO로서 ESCO를 활용한 에너지 절감방안을 소개했다. 이 자료는 그 주요내용을 정리한 것이다.

  • An efficient algorithm is proposed to select the proper tools and generate their paths for NC rough cutting of dies and molds with sculptured surfaces. Even though a milling process consists of roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing, most material is removed by a rough cutting process. Therfore it can be said that the rough cutting process occupy an important portion of the NC milling process, and accordingly, an efficient rough cutting method contributes to an efficient milling process. In order work, the following basic assumption is accepted for the efficient machining. That is, to machine a region bounded by a profile, larger tools should be used in the far inside and the region adjacent to relatively simple portion of the boundary while smaller tools are used in the regions adjacent to the relatively complex protion. Thus the tools are selected based on the complexity of the boundary profile adjacent to the region to be machined. An index called cutting path ratio is proposed in this work as a measure of the relative complexity of the profile with respect to a tool diameter. Once the tools are selected, their tool paths are calculated starting from the largest to the smallest tool.

Analysis of Three Years of Airmen Medical Certificate for Preparing Aviation-related Health Promotion Plan (항공종사자 건강증진활동계획에 반영되어야 할 근거자료: 3년간의 항공신체검사 결과 분석)

  • In accordance with ICAO SARPs, the states should implement appropriate aviation-related health promotion for airmen subject to an aviation medical examination to reduce future medical risks to flight safety. We aimed to analyze the results of the aviation medical examination to use as objective evidence for establishing an aviationrelated health promotion plan. The results of the final issuance of airmen medical certificate from 2015~2017 were collected from the e-sky computer system. The 30 cases (0.3%) in 2015, 22 cases (0.2%) in 2016, 38 cases (0.3%) in 2017 were unfit for flight duty. The 34 unfit out of the total 90 cases were renewal physical examinations. The cardiovascular disease was most commonly in 11 cases, followed by 8 tumors, 4 psychiatric diseases, 3 ophthalmic diseases, 2 respiratory diseases, 2 neurologic diseases, 2 otolaryngological diseases, 1 endocrine disease and 1 digestive disease. The results of this study can be used as objective data in aviation-related health promotion plan. The health promotion activities based on objective data can contribute to improving aviation safety by improving the lifestyles of airmen.

Innovation Capability Building through Overseas Direct Investmnet: Samsung's Camera Business (해외직접투자에 의한 기술혁신능력의 강화 : 삼성항공의 카메라사업)

  • This study explores building process of innovative capability through overseas direct investment (ODI) by taking the camera business of Samsung Aerospace Industry (SAI) as a case. SAI with less than 20 years history has pursued an aggressive ODI and developed its own camera models. It acquired Rollei in Germany and Union in Japan in 1995, for acquiring advanced technology. Several factors leading to the success of SAI's innovative cability building were taken into consideration. First, SAI effectively absorbed technological knowledge by exchanging technical personnel with foreign partners. Second, it chose right partners with the complementary knowledge required for advancing its technological capability. Third, it strengthened its competrnce to satisfy the technical standards of the partner dompanies in OEM trade relations. Fourth, it successfully formed a global marketing network in which subsidiary companies plays a central role in each region. Finally, SAI successfully addressed the factors of mutual respect between partners in order to let its partners to be confident in their ventures.
