Development of Oxygen Diffusion Test Method for Crack Width Evaluation of Self-Healing Concrete (자기치유 콘크리트의 균열치유 성능평가를 위한 개선된 산소확산 시험방법 제안)

  • Self-healing concrete is in the spotlight in that it can effectively extend the lifespan of concrete structures by healing cracks in the structure by themselves without additional repairing or retrofiting actions. Currently, self-healing concrete is a field that is being actively studied around the world, but since most studies focus on the improvement of healing performance, there is a lack of methods to rationally evaluate the self-healing performance of concrete. Although the gas diffusion test method has been developed for the use in the performance evaluation of self-healing concrete, it has revealed that for gas diffusion through the matrix affect the crack diffusion coefficients depending on the environmental conditions such as the saturation of the specimen, the temperature, and humidity during the experiment. Therefore, in this study, the method has been proposed to eliminate the influence of the matrix diffusion when calculating the crack diffusion coefficient. In addition, a pre-conditioning process was introduced to shorten the experimental time. As a result, the crack width could be estimated with an error level of less than 3% in the test time of about 20 minutes.

  • 환원확산법은 저렴한 Nd 산화물을 환원제를 이용하여 환원시키고 환원된 Nd가 Fe, FeB와 확산하여 주상인 Nd$_2$Fe14B가 만들어지는 공정으로 환원제로 사용된 CaO나 미반응 Ca 및 잔존 산소함량을 조절하는데 어려움이 있어 아직까지는 상업되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 환원확산법을 이용하여 Nd-Fe-B계 영구자석에 사용될 미세분말을 제조하고 그 자기적 특성을 관찰하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 고품질의 ZnO 박막을 제작하기 위해 사파이어 기판 위에 ZnO 박막을 Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) 법으로 성장하였다. 레이저 에너지 밀도와 펄스주파수를 고정시켰으며, 성장온도와 산소 분압은 각각 $450{\sim}600^{\circ}C$ 및 5~20 sccm으로 변화를 주어 성장 온도와 산소 분압이 박막 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 제작된 박막의 전기적 특성을 측정한 결과 성장온도의 증가에 따라 캐리어 농도는 $9.18{\times}10^{18}cm^{-3}$에서 $3.9{\times}10^{16}cm^{-3}$까지 감소하였고, 캐리어 이동도는 $0.95cm^2/Vs$에서 $8.47cm^2/Vs$ 까지 증가하는 경향을 나타내었으며, 산소분압의 변화에는 특정 임계조건을 갖는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 이유는 PLD 법 성장 메커니즘에서 플라즈마 플럼(plasma flume) 내에 결합된 ZnO 분자가 기판으로 직접 성장이 이루어지는 과정에서 성장 온도가 증가함에 따라 플럼 내에서 결합 된 ZnO 분자의 열적 안정성이 향상되었으며, 유입되는 산소량의 감소로 인해 원자들의 표면 확산 거리 및 확산 시간이 길어져 보다 안정적인 박막 형성에 기인한 것으로 보인다.

  • 본 연구에서는 운전자의 피로감을 경감시킬 수 있는 자동차용 향 발생장치를 개발하였다. 본 시스템은 공기 압력차에 의해 휘발된 향을 산소와 혼합 시켜 외부로 분사하는 증발 확산 방식을 채택하였다. 또한 3-Port Solenoid Valve를 이용하여 산소만 공급할 수 있도록 또는 산소와 향을 동시에 공급할 수 있도록 두 가지의 분출 경로가 가능하도록 제작하였고 향이 분사되는 배관 앞에 체크 밸브(역류방지기)를 장착하여 한 방향으로만 향이 분출되도록 하였다.

Oxidation resistnace of TaSiN diffusion barrier layers for Semiconductor memory device application (반도체 메모리 소자 응용을 위한 TaSiN 확산 방지층의 산화 저항성)

  • Amorphous TaSiN thin films of about 90 nm thick were deposited onto poly-Si and $SiO_2/Si$ substrates by rf magnetron sputtering method. TaSiN films exhibited amorphous phase with no crystllization up to $900^{\circ}C$ in oxygen ambient. The penetration depth of oxygen diffusion increased with increasing annealing temperature in oxygen ambient and reached 20 nm deep in a $Ta_{23}Si_{29}N_{48}$ layer at $600^{\circ}C$ for 30min. The resistivity of as-deposited $Ta_{23}Si_{29}N_{48}$ thin films was about $1,300{\mu}{\Omega}-cm$, however those of annealed films markedly increased above $700^{\circ}C$ in oxygen ambient as the annealing temperature increased.

A Numerical Study on Nonlinear Dynamic Behavior of Diffusive-Thermal Instability in Diluted CH4/O2 Conterflow Diffusion Flames (희석된 메탄/산소 대향류 확산화염에서 확산-열 불안정으로 인한 화염의 비선형 동적 거동에 관한 수치해석)

  • Nonlinear dynamic behavior of diffusive-thermal instability in diluted CH$_4$/O$_2$ diffusion flames is numerically investigated by adopting detailed chemistry and transport. Counterflow diffusion flame is adopted as a model flamelet. Particular attention is focused on the pulsating-instability regime, which arises for Lewis numbers greater than unity, and the instability occurs at high strain rate near extinction condition in this flame configuration. Once a steady flame structure is obtained for a prescribed value of initial strain rate, transient solution of the flame is calculated after a finite amount of strain-rate perturbation is imposed on the steady flame. Transient evolution of the flame depends on the initial strain rate and the amount of perturbed strain rate. Basically, the dynamic behaviors can be classified into two types, namely non-oscillatory decaying solution and diverging solution leading to extinction. The peculiar oscillatory solution, which has been found in the previous study adopting one-step chemistry and constant Lewis numbers, is net observed in this study, which is attributed to both convective flow and preferential diffusion effects.
