KMPlayer는 2015년부터 국내 기업으로 개발된 세계적으로 넓게 확산된 국산 미디어 플레이어 프로그램이다. 현재는 IOS, Android 버전이 모바일 버전으로 출시되어있다. KMPlayer 안드로이드 어플리케이션은 천만 명 이상의 다운로드 수를 보유하고 있고, 많은 사용자 수를 기반으로 발생하는 방대한 데이터들은 분석 기준에 따라 다양한 형태의 그래프 보고서로 만들어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 KMPlayer 사용 국가들의 활성 사용자 수 그래프를 분석해, 각 국가에서 발생하는 문화적, 사회적 사건이 KMPlayer 안드로이드 버전의 활성 상용자 수 그래프에 어떤 영향을 미치는지, 그리고 역으로 활성 사용자 수 그래프의 변화가 현실의 어떤 사건을 반영하고 있는지에 대해 연구하고자 한다.

Recently frequent collapse of old fill dams has taken place, which increases social awareness in the safety of the infrastructure. Fill dams in Korea has been incautiously regarded as safe once the fill dam is considered to have a full capacity to retain a conservative design flood determined by government authorities. However, developed foreign countries has been managing their fill dams by introducing systematic risk assessment techniques over a long period of time. In this study, the system response probabilities of the deteriorated old fill dams in Korea were systematically evaluated and analyzed by using the internal erosion toolbox based on the event tree analysis technique. The probability of the existence of flaw and the magnitude of the hydraulic gradient through a potential crack can significantly influence the geotechnical system response probability. The results of this study show that the probability of the existence of flaw and the magnitude of the hydraulic gradient through a potential crack can significantly influence the geotechnical system response probability and the risk of the deteriorated fill dam can be quantitatively assessed.

This study aims to trace the main tendency found in Korean broadcasting news coverage of terror throughout the kidnapping of Sun Il Kim. For this purpose, this study analyzed the contents of 386 news stories found in KBS, MBC, and SBS. Through this process, it investigated the main theme and source found in the coverage of kidnapping. In addition, it analyzed how the press described Al Tawhid Al Jihad, known as the organization who kidnapped Mr. Kim and how well the press transmit the social, historical background of terror. As a result, the dominant theme found in three news company was that which dealt with investigations about suspicions about kidnapping and suspicions related to the kidnapping. However, the voice against dispatching armed forces and the demand of terrorist were seldom found in the coverage. The news sources which three broadcasting news depended on heavily was governmental officials and the media including Al Jazeera was also main source. The description of Al Tawhid Al Jihad by the press was somewhat negative and the expression 'militarized forces' were found mostly. The news which announced the social, historical background of terror were minimal, which indicated that the coverage of terror in Korean broadcasting was still episodic.

This paper reveals continuity of related events which are occurred and changing from moment to moment accident/events collected from various social media channels. Among them, we especially define the events which have big social influence as "issue event" and investigate the type and characteristics of continuous issue event for each domain. We also introduce a automatic issue detection system in social media text. Based on the extracted issue event results in a particular domain, we analyse the continuity of those events by illustrating in time and place-axis. Furthermore, we identify the relationship between social media in terms of issue events propagation.

This study is a comparative analysis of news frames between Chosunilbo and Hankyereh which have shown contrastive political attitude. The coverage of two political scandal, the Prime Minister Lee Haechan's golf happening and an Assemblyman of opposition party Choi Yeonhee's sexual harassment were analysed. The two political scandals were occurred one after the other and had some similarities. But two newspapers showed very contrastive frame on the two political scandals. On the Prime Minister Lee's scandal Chosunilbo showed politicizing frame, lobby golf frame, immorality frame, resignation frame. In contrast Hankyereh used depoliticization frame and human error frame. On the Assemblyman Choi's scandal Hankyereh showed politicizing frame, personal responsibility frame, immorality frame, resignation frame. But Chosunilbo used social responsibility frame and human error frame. In conclusion two newspapers showed very contrastive coverage according to the respective political attitude.

SBS's -also known as - is one of the most famous investigative programs in South Korean television sector. This program is well-known for its much detailed and tenacious investigation of unsolved crimes, various social wrong-doings, as well as public scandals through a mystery code and meticulous storytelling. As a result, generates much popular interests and responses from local audiences. This work both examines and contextualizes the multiple roles and implications of this program through a textual and production analysis. Especially, it critically pursues this program's achievements and limits in the context of the changing roles of investigative journalism and its unstable status at current juncture.
