수년 전부터 지식기반 경제로의 빠른 전환이 이뤄지고 있으며 이의 기반이 되는 인터넷에 대한 관심의 폭증으로 사회, 문화, 경제 전반에 걸쳐 새로운 변혁기를 맞고 있다. 특히 인터넷은 국가 경쟁력을 위한 강력한 필수도구로 등장했으며, 이를 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 다양한 네트워크가 구축되어 왔다. 이러한 네트워크 환경이 최근에는 가정 내까지 파고들어 바로 홈네트워크(Home Net-work) 산업이 등장하였고. 이를 위해 여러 단체가 형성되었으며, 이 단체들은 이미 활발한 연구와 함께 표준화를 진행하고 있다. (중략)

출판계 안팎에 그 어느때보다도 높은 변화의 물결이 일고 있다. 출판불황은 장기화할 조짐을 보이고, 뉴미디어의 확산은 고전적 의미의 출판을 위축시킨다. 독자층 또한 세대변환의 징조를 보이며 기존의 출판물들을 외면하는 경향이다. 이렇듯 변화하는 사회흐름에 이미 몇몇 출판사들은 발빠른 체제개혁과 대응으로 변환의 해일을 헤쳐가고 있다. 이 시대가 요구하는 출판편집자의 역할과 위상도 달라지고 있으며 달라져야 한다는 목소리 또한 높다. 새로운 세기를 앞두고 밀어닥치는 변화의 바람에 오늘의 한국 출판편집자들은 어떻게 대응하고 있으며, 어떤 전망을 지니고 있는지 출판계에서 중요한 비중으로 자리하고 있는 출판사 편집자 4인이 함께 논의해본다.

중국은 2008년 현재 메신저 이용자 수와 블로그 등의 웹 2.0 이용자 수에 있어서 세계 1위이다. 그리고 중국의 2007년 850억 달러의 인터넷 디지털 시장은 2015년에 2640억 달러로 성장할 전망이다. 이와 같이 인터넷 시장의 규모와 성장 가능성으로 인해 중국 인터넷 비즈니스의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 필요성에 따라서 본 연구에서는 중국의 인터넷 동향 중에서 가장 큰 주목을 끌고 있는 웹 2.0 기반의 사회 연결망 서비스 분야에서 다음 세 가지의 연구 질문을 설정하고 그 답을 찾아보았다. 첫째, 중국 사회 연결망 서비스의 주요 특징은 무엇인가? 이러한 질문에 답하기 위해 본 연구에서는 문헌연구를 바탕으로 중국의 대표적인 사회 연결망 서비스 업체로 Tencent QQ와 Sina Poco를 살펴보았고, 중국 사회 연결망 서비스 이용자의 가입 이유, 갱신 이유, 주요 내용, 유상 서비스에 대한 태도 등을 살펴보았으며, 중국 인터넷 사용자의 집단별 특징에 대해 살펴보았다. 둘째, 중국 사회 연결망 서비스의 이용에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인들은 무엇인가? 이러한 질문에 답하기 위해 동기부여이론, TAM 이론. 관련 선행연구 등을 검토하여 중국 사회 연결망 서비스의 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인들로서 사용자 참여, 사회적 영향, 네트워크 효과, 유용성, 시스템 품질 등을 도출하였고 PLS를 이용한 데이터 분석을 통해 검증하였다. 검증결과, 사회 연결망 서비스 이용에 유용성이 가장 큰 영향을 미치고, 다음으로 네트워크 효과, 사용자 참여, 시스템 품질 순으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 사회적 영향은 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중국과 한국은 어떠한 점에서 차이가 있는가? 가장 두드러진 차이는 사회적 영향에 있어서 한국은 유의 적인데 비해 중국이 유의적이지 않다는 점이다. 이는 한국과 중국 사이에 국가 문화적 차이가 존재하기 때문에 발생했다고 생각할 수도 있고, 중국이 인터넷 성장기에 있는데 비해 한국은 인터넷 성숙기에 있는 등의 기술적, 사회적, 경제적 발달 과정상의 차이에 의한 것이라고도 볼 수 있다.

지난 연말의‘도서관계 10대뉴스’에서 보았듯이 2005년에는 도서관법 전면개정 추진, 도서관에 개인정보인권 보호조치 권고, 저작권법 개정, 사서교사 임용, 주40시간 근무제, 독서문화 확산 등 여러가지 큼직한 일들이 있었다. 2006년도에는 그 어느 해보다 많은 변화가 예상된다. 특히 세계도서관인들의 축제인 <2006서울세계도서관정보대회>가 서울에서 열린다. 세계에 한국의 도서관문화와 사서들의 활동을 알릴 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 수 있도록 도서관인 모두의 적극적인 관심과 홍보, 참여가 매우 중요하다. 이외에도 도서관법, 저작권법, 학교도서관진흥법 등 도서관 관련법의 제도 정비, 여전히 풀어야할 과제로 남아있는 공공도서관 민간위탁 등이 주요 이슈로 부각 될 전망이다. 프랑스의 석학 자크 아탈리는“변화를 받아들일 줄 모르면 그 존재가 사라진다.”“변화를 수용할 줄 알아야 살아남을 수 있다.”고 강조한바 있다. 변화는 21세기를 살아가는 우리들에게 매우 중요한 메시지를 남긴다. 그“변화”의 중심에 도서관계가 자리잡아 사회 속에 더 큰 부분으로 자리 매김 할 수 있는 한 해가 되기를 바란다. ■ 편집자 주

With the rapid increase of multicultural families in South Korea due to international marriages and the influx of foreign workers, the number of children from these families enlisting in the military is also rising. It is projected that by 2030, over 10,000 recruits from multicultural backgrounds will join the military annually. This influx can help mitigate the issue of decreasing military resources due to low birth rates and enhance the cultural diversity within the military. However, the lack of multicultural awareness and the presence of discrimination in the military can hinder the well-being of these multicultural soldiers. This study aims to analyze the multicultural phenomenon in the Korean military and explore development strategies to ensure the stable service and healthy military culture for multicultural soldiers. The theoretical background of multiculturalism and diversity in the military is examined, along with the analysis of multicultural military operations in other countries. Management strategies for multicultural soldiers, including leadership and organizational culture innovation, multicultural education and awareness programs, and the establishment of tailored support systems, are proposed. Furthermore, policy recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of multicultural policies in the Korean military are presented. Supporting the successful military service of multicultural soldiers will contribute to the enhancement of military combat power and the acceptance of multiculturalism in Korean society.

A work of Art is not supposed to be isolated from the world, but it should be influenced by its cultural background and situations of the times. Therefore, Art itself reflects its era. In other words, it is created being based on the thought of its artist and simultaneously interacting with external conditions or circumstances of the era, so it would also affect the cultural code of its society. This is why modern art made by the individual living in this complicated and diversified society is quite avant-garde. Various demands from its society and diversified senses have been influencing diversification of works of Art. Now we can say that a mode of art is also dose to current stream of the times. A lot of artists have been trying to get out of traditional way of presentation techniques and classification of genres. In that point, the emergence of Multimedia Alt is inevitable in this digital era. The terms of Internet or multimedia are now familiar with everybody in the world, and a lot of works like Technology Art, Information Art, Computer Art, Digital Art, New Media Art, and so on have been coming into the world by using multimedia. Unlike other works of Art, these works from multimedia are practically used by being combined with technologies. Hereupon, in this paper I would like to find out a concept of Multimedia Art, its social function, and the future prospect of this brand-new form of art.

The purpose of this article is to examine the prospects of the religious cultural experience program of Daesoon Jinrihoe by referring to the current status of Korea's Buddhist temple stays, which began with the 2002 World Cup and have become a regular program for the general public with the establishment of the Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism in 2004. The motivation for Korean participation is mainly rest, while foreigners tend to be more interested in Korean traditional culture. During the experience, the perceived value felt by the participants led to satisfaction and an intention to revisit. Temple stays have contributed to the globalization of Korean Buddhism. The temple stay of Daesoon Jinrihoe is a religious cultural experience program for the public. If it became a regular program, the target could be expanded to include foreigners who wish to experience Korean culture. The activities such as wearing Hanbok, taking a Dojang Tour, praying, and dialogue over tea can be allocated to the program. As a result, the perceived value by participants could be taken as a cognitive value. For instance, they could learn about Sangje's Reordering of the Universe that transformed the order of Sanggeuk (Mutual Contention) into the order of Sangsaeng (Mutual Beneficence). They way that they live their lives could change as a result of these new understandings. The emotional value of the experience would come from experiencing traditional Korean religious culture. The prospect of implementing such a program is twofold: firstly, there are the tasks of proper preparation, and secondly, there are the positive effects. The tasks would first involve creating a systematic and organized center point. Next there would be the matter of preparing spaces for the temple stay, and lastly, an online platform for advertisement, recruitment, and application would also be greatly beneficial. This is a vision that could contribute to the improving public image of the order, its globalization, and to the overall improvement of the facilities and management that would produce a more socially friendly environment.

인구 고령화는 세계적 추세이지만, 특히 한국과 일본은 현저하게 빠른 증가 속도로, 2050년 일본이 세계 1위, 한국이 세계 2위로 전망되고 있다. 본 연구는 한국과 일본의 고령자 일상생활활동의 건강성에 관한 실태와 비교 분석을 통해 사회, 문화 및 노인 인구 증가 속도 등 여러 면에서 우리나라와 유사점을 가지고 있으면서도 노인 문제를 우리보다 약 20년 정도 앞선 경험으로 고령화 대책이 구체적인 일본 노인복지를 통하여 한국 노인 문제에 다양한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국과 일본 각각 양국가의 언어로 번역된 설문지를 사용하여, 한일 65세 이상 노인 603명과 267명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 훈련된 연구 조사원들을 통해 일대일 면접 방식으로 한국의 노인복지관과 노인대학과 센터 등에서, 일본의 시니어클럽연합회와 사회복지법인의 자원봉사 그룹, 고령자 생협 소속 노인들에게 조사되었다. 이를 통해, 행복한 노년기를 위한 인간존엄의 근원적 테마로 다양한 시사점을 제시하였다.

This study criticizes the neoliberal dominance in social web popular culture from a feminist perspective. A key question is to identify the nature of the social web popular culture-is it the repercussion or recapturing of feminism in relation to the social context of the prevalence of popular cultural practices of neoliberalism and how to challenge against neoliberal ideology with the critical positioning of feminism? In dealing with these questions, four celebrities' twitter discourses are analysed. The emphasis of smartness in digital mediascape, neoliberal imperative to be competitive, autonomous, positive and affirmative, and desire and fantasy brought by postfeminist lifestyle industries are embedded in the present popular culture. The critical account of neoliberal postfeminism suggests the necessity of an critical feminism which brings about alternative values to the current neoliberal demand for the active subject and consumer freedom of choice as the standard of ideal women.

This paper attempts to analyze the changes of the contents in foreign area research carried out by Korean geographers, and discuss the task of the new regional geography in a global-local context. As compared with domestic area research, only a scant of foreign area research has been carried out. In the 1990's, the research interests are paid to how an open economy affects the regional economy, especialy the production technique, division of labor, industrial mix, market strategy, industrial location and organization, and so on. Unfortunately, however, the boundaries between economic geography and regional economy are gradully disappearing.
