This paper is the first paper of two linked papers about the FDI of the economic infrastructure-related public companies. This paper analyzes overseas investments of infrastructure public companies which is characterized by state control and support of socio-economic facilities and services. In theoretical consideration the genealogy and characteristics of FDI are examined, and then global FDI trends since 1970, institutional changes and FDI trends in Korea are analyzed. This analysis shows that the globalization of large state-owned enterprises or public companies from developing and transition economies constitutes an important component of FDI and new emerging source of FDI. Finally the objects and strategies of large 10 infrastructure public companies are analyzed in perspectives of features having both advanced and developing economies type.

The purpose of this study is firstly to understand socio-demographic and health characteristics and economic characteristics of elderly single households aged over 60 and secondly to examine the relations between these factors and level of life satisfaction, especially differentiated relations by income level. We used the data drawn from third KREIS (Korean Retirement and Income Study) surveyed by National Pension Research Institute. The statistical methods used for the analyses were t-test, X², multiple regression analysis. For the whole sample, the results showed that the life satisfaction is positively related to higher income, better physical and emotional health status and having a religion. When we conducted the regression on two groups, the religion and income level were no longer significant factors. On the other hand, being a woman and enjoying good health contributed to life satisfaction for lower-income group while having a job and enjoying good health played a positive role in life satisfaction for higher-income group.

This article discusses the innovation activities of firms that aim for system transformation from the perspective of 'Transformative Innovation Policies'. Here, for the sustainable transformation of our society, a firm that finds the 'purpose' of business activities in solving social problems and implements a new business model is defined as a 'transition-oriented firm'. The main characteristics of a transition-oriented firm are examined in terms of 1) transition vision and mission setting, 2) business model innovation for transition, 3) network formation for system transition, and 4) securing legitimacy of transition. And through case studies, the approach, significance, and limitations of the transition-oriented corporate innovation theory are discussed. The case study is from a Eisai Korea, which aims for an integrated prevention, treatment, and care system centered on residents and citizens.

1990년대에 들어와 전원주택시장은 급격하게 성장했다. 대도시 주민의 전원지향 이주와 전원주택시장의 급성장을 초래한 사회경제적 배경은 소비주체의 생활양식 변화, 건설자본의 사업환경 변화에 대한 대응, 국가의 법적·제도적 지원과 밀접한 관련성을 가진다. 실제로, 수도권지역에서 전원주택은 경관이 수려하고 자연환경이 잘 보존된 한강축, 접근성이 양호한 고속도로축, 일산 신도시에서 파주로 나아가는 북방축 등 세축을 따라 뚜렷한 성장세를 보인다. 그러므로 대도시 주민이 선호하는 전원주택의 주요 입지적 속성은 자연환경과 접근성이라 할 수 있다.

우리나라는 1970 년대부터 급속한 경제발전과 더불어 생활수준의 향상에 따른 소비 성향의 변화 및 인구의 도시집중화현상 등으로 도시 쓰레기의 배출의 변화가 나타나서, 배출된 쓰레기의 양은 매년 증가되는 추세이다. 또한 배출된 쓰레기의 80% 이상을 단순 매립에 의존하는 처리방식이므로(환경부,1995), 유기성 폐기물이 혐기 소화되면서 다량의 가스와 침출수를 발생시켜 주변 지역의 자연 및 생활환경에 악영향을 미치며, 환경적, 사회적으로 큰 문제가 대두되고 있는 현실이다.(중략)

다양한 특성의 도시공간의 확장은 경제 활동의 활성화는 물론 도시공간에서의 범죄발생 확대로 이어지고 있다. 이에 따라 국민의 생명과 재산보호, 사회질서유지 등을 위한 각종 대책과 경찰의 역할을 확대되고 있으나 효율적인 범죄예방 활동이 부족한 상태이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 체계적인 범죄 모니터링을 위한 기초연구의 일환으로 도시공간에서의 범죄가 발생하는 공간에 대한 패턴을 이해하고 분석하여 도시 내 안전구역을 분석하여 GIS 공간분석기법의 효용성을 나타내었다.

세계적으로 환경적으로 건전한 지속가능한 발전을 위한 수단인 환경영향평가는 지역과 국가의 경제사회적 특성과 어울려서 발전하고 있다. 특히 한국에서는 개발과 그로 인한 환경오염을 사전에 저감시키기 위한 수단으로, 환경부, 지속가능발전위원회를 중심으로 법개정, 새로운 제도와 기법의 도입을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다. 환경영향평가는 생태영향평가, 사회영향평가, 누적영향평가, 전략환경평가, 환경위해성평가를 통합하는 방향으로 진행되고 있으며, 한 국가의 문제뿐 아니라 국경간의 문제에 직면하고 있다. 환경영향평가는 사업뿐 아니라 정책을 포함하는, 국가의 공간계획과 자원관리를 환경영향평가 과정에 통합하여야 할 것이다.

네트워크의 발달은 경제, 사회 전반에 걸친 변화를 가져왔으며, 실물 경제를 가상 공간에서 가능하게 하였다. 인터넷을 이용한 전자상거래(Electronic Commerce)가 확산 발전되고 있으며, 인터넷 상의 전자 화폐는 기존 실물 화폐가 가지는 모든 특성들을 가지면서 보안성을 크게 보장해 준다. 따라서 전자 화폐를 기반으로 하는 인터넷 지불 시스템이 향후 전자상거래에 있어 안전하고 효율적인 지불 방법으로 기대된다. 전자상거래는 상품의 전달과 대금 지불이 동일 네트워크에서 이루어질 수 있다는 특성을 가짐으로써 시스템의 설계를 최적화하는데 도움이 된다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템에 네트워크 상에서의 개인 정보보호를 위한 지불 시스템을 구현하였으며, 가상 ID를 사용하여 익명성이 가능하도록 하였으며, 암호화 회수 및 서버와 클라이언트의 통신회수를 감소시킴으로서 시스템의 효율성 및 안전성이 확보되도록 하였다.
