The Relation between Injection Molding Conditions and Gloss of ABS Molding (사출성형 조건과 ABS 성형품 광택의 관계)

  • Plastic product manufacturing industry has usually focused on a mechanical and physical characteristics of molding. Recently, not only these characteristics but also the aesthetic value is significantly considering. Especially, the molding's gloss, which we can easily distinguish, is an important aesthetic point. In this study, it were investigated that the gloss variation of ABS moldings by changing injection conditions such as injection pressures, injection speed, holding pressures melt and mold temperatures by injection molding experiment. The experimental results revealed that the holding pressure was the most active condition on gloss of ABS molding.

  • The cycle time in injection moulding greatly depends on the cooling time of the plastic part that is controlled by cooling channels. Cooling channels are required to facilitate the heat transfer rate from the die to the coolant without reducing the strength of the die. Employing layered manufacturing techniques (LMT), a die embedding conformal cooling channels can be fabricated directly while conventional cooling channels are usually made of straight drilled hole. Meanwhile, H13 tool steel is widely used as the die material because of its high thermal resistance and dimensional stability. However, H13 with a low thermal conductivity is not efficient for certain part geometries. In this context, the use of functionally graded materials (FGMs) between H13 and copper may circumvent a tradeoff between the strength and the heat transfer rate. This paper presents a method for modeling of conformal cooling channels made of FGMs.

Development of CanSat System for Collecting Weather Information With Autorotating Science Payload Ejection Function (자동회전 과학 탑재체 사출 기능을 갖춘 기상정보 수집용 캔위성 체계 개발)

  • This paper deals with the development of CanSat system, which ejects two maple seed-type autorotating science payloads and collects weather information. The CanSat consists of two autorotating science payloads and a container. The container is equipped with devices for launching science payloads and communication with the ground station, and launches science payloads one by one at different designated altitudes. The science payload consists of a space for loading and a large wing, and rotates to generate lift for slowing down the fall speed. Specifically, after being ejected, it descends at a speed of 20 m/s or less, measures the rotation rate, atmospheric pressure, and temperature, and transmits the measured value to the container at a rate of once per second. The communication system is a master-slave structure, and the science payload transmits all data to the master container, which aggregates both the received data and its own data, and transmits it to the ground station. All telemetry can be checked in real time using the ground station software developed in-house. A simulation was performed in the simulation environment, and the performance of the CanSat system that satisfies the mission requirements was confirmed.

  • 본 논문에서는 열화상촬영기 및 온도분포 해석 프로그램을 이용하여 금형가열온도와 실제 금형온도의 온도편차를 비교하여 금형가열 시 Stamper 표면의 온도분포를 해석하였다. 또한 전열가열방식(E-MOLD)을 이용하여 복합기능 도광판(Prismless LGP)을 제조하였고, 금형온도에 따른 복합기능 도광판(Prismless LGP)의 광특성 평가를 하였다. 그 결과 금형온도가 증가할수록 패턴 전사성 향상으로 인해 휘도 또한 증가하였고, 특히 유리전이온도($140^{\circ}C$) 이상에서 크게 상승하였다.

  • The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has long been studying the essential elements of manned planetary exploration and has held several international challenges to encourage the research works related to it. One of them was the NASA Centennial Challenge Programs which started in 2015. Following the second in 2017, the third is currently going on in 2019. Participating "3D-Printed Habitat Challenge", one of the challenges in the second program, this research team designed and developed the 3D printer extruding module for the Lunar Simulant (Korea Hanyang Lunar Simulant-1; KOHLS-1) and the polymer. For optimizing the modul, a cylindrical specimen of ${\varnothing}150{\times}300mm^3$ volume and a specimen of $200{\times}100{\times}650mm^3$ volume were manufactured and their compressive and flexural strengths were tested. The findings can help automatize the space construction in the future.

  • Clients require easy to use of product and operating and industry safety according to the change of a market and a factory. For overcoming it, this paper developed controller of take-out robots that take high speed and superprecision and supplement a week point as use the system based on network. development controller classify teaching pendant and center server PC. Center server PC service the information about all process to supervisor. Teaching pendant is the bridge that service various faculties such as control, user recognition, metallic pattern operation to the user using injection molding. The controller development for taking out injection molded body classify software and hardware. The development of software is divided into three step which is application program, user interface and device driver. the simple device driver is not classified and included in application program. The hardware induce the touch panel and wireless network and construct the effective process control and internet connection. The inject ion cycle of existing system was five second but advanced system has the inner four cycle, process efficiency and product operation through wireless network.

  • 작업물(Work)을 기계에 장입출, 가공에 필요한 공구류의 공급 등이 완전 자동화 된 기존의 사출성형기 Series를 제조하는 FA Systme은, MAP 대응의 FA System 으로 개량되었다. 이 논문은, MAP 대응 새 FA 시스템의 MAP에서 분산.통괄의 역할을 하도록 개발된 Cell controller의 정보관리기능 가운데 하나의 응용으로서 제조공정을 자동적으로 Scheduling 하는데 Expert 시스템(전문가시스템)을 적용한 idea를 소개하는 것이다. 이 idea의 적용 으로 인하여 제조공정의 scheduling 작염은 종래의 주단위로 부터 일일단위의 작업으로 처리가 가능해졌고, 또, 공구수명관리기능의 부가로 무인운전시의 기계의 가공율도 종래보다도 녹일 수가 있었다.

  • In Micro injection process, it is needed to the technique of making micro die, Rapid Thermal Pressing (RTP) and other techniques. Those techniques are independent. But the mutual connected system of techniques is needed. The target of this paper is the design of micro mold and the development of the entire micro injection techniques for functional polymer.

  • The synthesis of supplementary features of injection molded parts has been done empirically, since it requires profound knowledge about the features' moldability and causal effects on the properties of the part, which are not available to designers through current CAD systems. RIBBER is a knowledge module which contains knowledge to permit non-experts as well as mold design experts to generate acceptable supplementary features of injection molded parts. A knowledge-based CAD system is constructed by adding the knowledge module, RIBBER, for mold feature synthesis and appropriate CAE programs for mold design analysis to an existing geometric modeler in order to provide designers, at the initial design stage, with comprehensive process knowledge-based CAD system is a new tool which enables the concurrent design and CIM with integrated and balanced design decisions at the initial design stage of injection molding.
