Selective Activation of Cohesive Elements using MPC (다중점 구속조건을 이용한 응집요소의 선택적 활성화 기법)

  • In this paper, a selective activation strategy of cohesive elements using user subroutine UMPC was studied as an efficient solution for the added compliance problem in cohesive zone model crack propagation analyses. The cohesive elements were inserted between every bulk elements in region where cracks were expected to initiate and propagate, but initially not activated by tying the cohesive nodes using multi-point constraints. During analyses, the cohesive elements for which specified criterion was met were selectively activated by releasing the constraints. The effect of initial cohesive stiffness and the release criterion on the crack propagation behavior was carefully investigated.

Development of a New Analysis Method of Fluid Film for Efficient Estimate of the Moving Characteristics of Hydrostatic Bearings (유정압베어링 운동특성의 효과적인 예측을 위한 새로운 유막 해석방법의 개발)

  • Hydrostatic bearings are widely used in precision machines due to their high motion guide accuracy, low friction and high load carrying capacity. It is very useful to estimate the moving characteristics of hydrostatic bearings in the design stage. A new method is suggested for the analysis of fluid film in hydrostatic bearings. A combined mesh of 8 node solid elements with negligible deformation resistance and spring-dashpot elements is used in conjunction with the user subroutine of ABAQUS to represent the fluid film. The mesh can be used to capture the deformation of the bearing structure as well as the varying properties of fluid film. Analysis results from the finite element model are compared with theoretical solutions, results from FLUENT analysis and some previous works. With this method, static and dynamic analyses of the system containing the bearings can be performed efficiently.

  • 본 연구에서는 유사량 측정의 적절성과 산정결과에 대한 정확성을 도모하고자 총유사량과 하상토유사량을 일관적으로 계산하고, 분석 및 관리할 수 있는 유사량산정시스템(Sediment Discharge Computation System; SDCS)을 개발하였다. 유사량산정시스템(SDCS)은 Microsoft사의 Excel VBA(Visual Basic for Applications)로 개발되어져 실행 및 분석이 간단 용이하고, 또한 유사량 산정결과를 저장하고 관리할 수 있는 DBFPAD가 내재되어 있다. 본 시스템은 크게 총유사량과 하상토유사량 산정 모듈로 구성되어 있어 각각의 모듈에서 유량규모에 대응하는 유사량과 농도를 산정할 수 있다. 총유사량 산정 모듈은 대표적인 확산-이송형 모형이라 할 수 있는 Modified Einstein 공식을 토대로 하였으며, 하상토유사량 산정 모듈은 Einstein, Ackers & White, Engelund & Hansen, Yang의 유사량 공식을 근간으로 되었다. 본 시스템은 크게 총 5개의 모듈을 가지며, 총 20개의 부프로그램(Subroutine Program)과 23개의 사용자정의함수 구문으로 개발되었다. 또한 단면의 특성변화 분석모듈과 DBFPAD 저장 및 관리모듈이 포함되어 있어 산정된 결과를 용이하게 비교 분석할 수 있고, 기존 자료와의 비교도 쉽게 수행할 수 있도록 구성하였다.

Development of a Cycle Simulation Program for Multi-Airconditioning Systems using R410A (R410A를 사용하는 멀티에어컨 시스템을 위한 사이클 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발)

  • In this study, the computer program called Multi_Cycle, which simulates the steady-state performance (coefficient of performance, capacity, power consumption and etc.) of multi- airconditioning systems using R410A, was developed. In order to validate the simulation program, a series of case studies were carried out. The Multi_Cycle consists of several subroutines for simulating indoor units. outdoor unit, compressor, and expansion devices. and for estimating the thermodynamic and transport properties of the refrigerants and moist air. It would appear to be advantageous to use the Multi_Cycle for a performance analysis when considering various kinds of refrigerants and the complex operating conditions of each unit making up the multi-airconditioner cycle. Moreover, the Multi_Cycle would seem to be useful tool in optimizing a multi-airconditioning system and establishing economical and efficient operating conditions in the multi-airconditioner cycle. In the present study, the Multi_Cycle was programmed with Digital Visual Fortran for the main simulation code and Visual Basic for- the graphic user interface.

Compressive and failure behaviour of composite egg-box panel using non-orthogonal constitutive model (비 직교 물성 모델을 이용한 복합재료 계란판의 압축거동 및 파손)

  • In the current study, thermoforming and compression analysis were carried out for the woven composite egg-box panel with the non-orthogonal constitutive material model, which is proposed by Xue et al. The material model is implemented in commercial engineering software, LS-DYNA, with a user subroutine. Directional properties in non-orthogonal coordinates are determinedusing the deformation gradient tensor and the material modulus matrix in local coordinate is updated at eaeh corresponding time step. After the implemented non-orthogonal constitutive model is verified by the bias extension test, the egg-box panel simulations are performed. The egg-box panel simulations are divided into two categories: thermoforming (draping) and crushing. The finite element model for crushing analysiscan be obtained using the displacement result of thermoforming process.
