  • Introducing human capacities of control and sensation which have been overlooked into Human-Computer Interaction(HCI), Ubiquitous computing, Augmented Reality and others have been researched recently. New vision of HCI has embodied in Tangible User Interface(TUI). TUI allows users to grasp and manipulate bits with everyday physical object and architectural surface and also TUI enables user to be aware of background object at the periphery of human perception using ambient display media such of light, sound, airflow and water movement. Tangibles, physical object which constitutes TUI system, is the physical object embodied digital bit. Tangibles is not only input device but also the configuration of computing. To get feedback of computing result, user controls the system with Tangibles as action and the system represents reaction in response to User's action. User appreciates digital representation (sound, graphic information) and physical representation (form, size, location, direction etc.) for reaction. TUI's characters require the consideration about both user's action and system's reaction. Therefore we have to need the method to be concerned about physical object and interaction which can be combined with action, reaction and feedback.

  • Along with the growth of Blockchain, DApp (Distributed Application) is getting attention. As interest in DApp grows, market size continues to grow and many developers participate in development. Many developers are using API(Application Programming Interface) services to mediate Blockchain nodes, such as Infura, for DApp development. However, when using such a service, there is a serious risk that the API service operator can violate the user's privacy by 1 to 1 matching the account address of the Transaction executed by the DApp user with the IP address of the DApp user. It can have an adverse effect on the reliability of public Blockchains that need to provide users with a secure DApp service environment. The proposed Blockchain platform is expected to provide user privacy protection from API services and provide a reliable DApp use environment that existing Blockchain platforms did not provide. It is also expected to help to activate DApp and increase the number of DApp users, which has not been activated due to the risk of an existing privacy breach.

  • Large portal sites such as Google, NAVER provide Various services based on the map. Thus, interest and demand of users who want to obtain the region-related information has been increased. And services that combine the regional information with the map are provided currently at the large portal sites. However, the existing services of large portal sites do not provide enough detailed information and are inconvenient because acquisition process of related information is repeated. Therefore, the system that enables users to obtain detailed information related on the specific region synthetically and easily is needed. In this paper, we propose a system model using map interface and knowledge-processing in order to build the system that is useful for acquiring regional information. The model consists of 3-Layers: 'Regional Information Web-Documents Layer', 'Unique Regional Information Layer', and "Map-Interface Layer'. The Integrated Region~Related Information Searching System based on the model is implemented through the following 4-steps: (1) extracting the keywords that represent specific region (2) collecting the related web pages (3) extracting a set of related keywords and computing an association between the keywords (4) implementing a user interface. We verified validity on the model we proposed. knowledge-processing algorithm using affinity matrix, and UI that help users conveniently search by applying the system to region of the Goyang City. This system integrates regional information existing merely individual 'information' and provides users the 'knowledge' that is newly produced and organized. Users can obtain various detailed regional information and easily get related information through this system.

The Effects of Emotional Interaction with Virtual Student on the User's Eye-fixation and Virtual Presence in the Teaching Simulation (가상현실 수업시뮬레이션에서 가상학생과의 정서적 상호작용이 사용자의 시선응시 및 가상실재감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the eye-fixation times on different parts of a student avatar and the virtual presence with two scenarios in the virtual reality-based teaching simulation. This study was to identify user attention while he or she is interacting with a student avatar. By examining where a user is gazing during a conversation with the avatar, we have a better understanding of non-verbal communication. For this study, forty-five college students (21 females and 24 males) participated in the experiment. They had a conversation with a student avatar in a virtual reality-based teaching simulation. The participants had verbal interactions with the student avatar with two scenarios. While they were having a conversation with the virtual character in the teaching simulation, their eye-movements were collected through a head-mounted display with an eye-tracking function embedded. The results revealed that there were significant differences in eye-fixation times. Participants gazed a longer time on facial expression than any other area. The fixation time on the facial expression was more prolonged than on gestures (F=3.75, p<.05). However, the virtual presence was not significantly different in two scenario levels. This result suggested that users focus on the face more than the gesture when they emotionally interact with the virtual character.

A Term Cluster Query Expansion Model Based on Classification Information of Retrieval Documents (검색 문서의 분류 정보에 기반한 용어 클러스터 질의 확장 모델)

  • 정보 검색 시스템은 사용자 질의의 키워드들과 문서들의 유사성(similarity)을 기준으로 관련 문서들을 순서화하여 사용자에게 제공한다. 그렇지만 인터넷 검색에 사용되는 질의는 일반적으로 짧기 때문에 보다 유용한 질의를 만들고자 하는 노력이 지금까지 계속되고 있다. 그러나 키워드에 포함된 정보가 제한적이기 때문에 이에 대한 보완책으로 사용자의 적합성 피드백을 이용하는 방법을 널리 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 적합성 피드백의 가장 큰 단점인 빈번한 사용자 참여는 지양하고, 시스템에 기반한 적합성 피드백에서 배제한 사용자 참여를 유도하는 검색 문서의 분류 정보에 기반한 용어 클러스터 질의 확장 모델(Term Cluster Query Expansion Model)을 제안한다. 이 방법은 검색 시스템에 의해 검색된 상위 n개의 문서에 대하여 분류기를 이용하여 각각의 문서에 분류 정보를 부여하고, 문서에 부여된 분류 정보를 이용하여 분류 정보의 수(m)만큼으로 문서들을 그룹을 짓는다. 적합성 피드백 알고리즘을 이용하여 m개의 그룹으로부터 각각의 용어 클러스터(Term Cluster)를 생성한다. 이 클러스터가 사용자에게 문서 대신에 피드백의 자료로 제공된다. 실험 결과, 적합성 알고리즘 중 Rocchio방법을 이용할 때 초기 질의보다 나은 성능을 보였지만, 다른 연구에서 보여준 성능 향상은 나타내지 못했다. 그 이유는 분류기의 오류와 문서의 특성상 한 영역으로 규정짓기 어려운 문서가 존재하기 때문이다. 그러나 검색하고자 하는 사용자의 관심 분야나 찾고자 하는 성향이 다르더라도 시스템에 종속되지 않고 유연하게 대처하며 검색 성능(retrieval effectiveness)을 향상시킬 수 있다.사용되고 있어 적응에 문제점을 가지기도 하였다. 본 연구에서는 그 동안 계속되어 온 한글과 한잔의 사용에 관한 논쟁을 언어심리학적인 연구 방법을 통해 조사하였다. 즉, 글을 읽는 속도, 글의 의미를 얼마나 정확하게 이해했는지, 어느 것이 더 기억에 오래 남는지를 측정하여 어느 쪽의 입장이 옮은 지를 판단하는 것이다. 실험 결과는 문장을 읽는 시간에서는 한글 전용문인 경우에 월등히 빨랐다. 그러나. 내용에 대한 기억 검사에서는 국한 혼용 조건에서 더 우수하였다. 반면에, 이해력 검사에서는 천장 효과(Ceiling effect)로 두 조건간에 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 본 실험 결과에 따르면, 글의 읽기 속도가 중요한 문서에서는 한글 전용이 좋은 반면에 글의 내용 기억이 강조되는 경우에는 한자를 혼용하는 것이 더 효율적이다.이 높은 활성을 보였다. 7. 이상을 종합하여 볼 때 고구마 끝순에는 페놀화합물이 다량 함유되어 있어 높은 항산화 활성을 가지며, 아질산염소거능 및 ACE저해활성과 같은 생리적 효과도 높아 기능성 채소로 이용하기에 충분한 가치가 있다고 판단된다.등의 관련 질환의 예방, 치료용 의약품 개발과 기능성 식품에 효과적으로 이용될 수 있음을 시사한다.tall fescue 23%, Kentucky bluegrass 6%, perennial ryegrass 8%) 및 white clover 23%를 유지하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합할 때, 초종과 파종비율에 따른 혼파초지의 건물수량과 사료가치의 차이를 확인할 수 있었으며, 레드 클로버 + 혼파 초지가 건물수량과 사료가치를 높이는데 효과적이었다.\ell}$ 이었으며 , yeast extract 첨가(添加)하여 배양시(培養時)는 yeast extract

Interference-Avoidance Based Localization for Multiple Mobile Nodes in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (모바일 센서네트워크에서 다중 이동 노드를 위한 간섭회피 기반 위치인식)

  • Given the increased interest in ubiquitous computing, wireless sensor network has been researched widely. The localization service which provides the location information of mobile user, is one of important service provided by sensor network. Many methods to obtain the location information of mobile user have been proposed. However, these methods were developed for only one mobile user so that it is hard to extend for multiple mobile users. If multiple mobile users start the localization process concurrently, there could be interference of beacon or ultrasound that each mobile user transmits. In the paper, we propose IAL, the localization technique with interference avoidance for multiple mobile nodes in mobile wireless sensor networks. In IAL, interference is prevented by forcing the mobile node to get the permission of localization from anchor nodes. For this, we define LIP packet type for localization initiation by mobile node and LGP packet type for localization grant by anchor node. LRP packet type is used to reject localization by anchor node for interference avoidance. The experimental result shows that the number of interference between nodes are increased in proportion to the number of mobile nodes and IAL provides efficient localization.

Customized Diet Information System (맞춤형 다이어트 정보 시스템)

  • Since a 'Well-being' theme had become an issue in 90's, everyone now care about their health more than ever. Besides, IT has been developed so tremendously that we have various ways to collect up-to-dated information through the internet. There are so many web sites that contain information about health and diet. However, the menus of these web sites are not simplified and the content is too large, so the information we see in those web sites may not be accurate. Also, some information is out-of-dated. In this paper, we propose a web site called 'Calory&Diet' that provides customized information on diet. The characteristics of the web site are as following: First, the menu is so simple that users can easily find information they want. Second, it only provides necessary customized information. Lastly, it uses an open application that helps users always get the latest information without DB updates. With its user friendly menu and feedback information, the proposed web site can be a good advisor for people who want to be healthy. 100 offers the user survey results than existing systems, simple system to 2%, 3% from a custom-related topics, the latest related topics were 3% higher on 5 point scale.

Building Error-Reflected Models for Collaborative Filtering Recommender System (협업적 여과 추천 시스템을 위한 에러반영 모델 구축)

  • Collaborative Filtering (CF), one of the most successful technologies among recommender systems, is a system assisting users in easily finding the useful information. However, despite its success and popularity, CF encounters a serious limitation with quality evaluation, called cold start problems. To alleviate this limitation, in this paper, we propose a unique method of building models derived from explicit ratings and applying the models to CF recommender systems. The proposed method is divided into two phases, an offline phase and an online phase. First, the offline phase is a building pre-computed model phase in which most of tasks can be conducted. Second, the online phase is either a prediction or recommendation phase in which the models are used. In a model building phase, we first determine a priori predicted rating and subsequently identify prediction errors for each user. From this error information, an error-reflected model is constructed. The error-reflected model, which is reflected average prior prediction errors of user neighbors and item neighbors, can make accurate predictions in the situation where users or items have few opinions; this is known as the cold start problems. In addition, in order to reduce the re-building tasks, the error-reflected model is designed such that the model is updated effectively and users'new opinions are reflected incrementally, even when users present a new rating feedback.

  • Today, many services and products that used to be only provided on offline have been being provided on the web according to the improvement of computing environment and the activation of web usage. These web-based services and products tend to be provided to customer by customer's preferences. This paradigm that considers customer's opinions and features in selecting is called personalization. The related research field is a recommendation. And this recommendation is performed by recommender system. Generally the recommendation is made from the preferences and tastes of customers. And recommender system provides this recommendation to user. However, the recommendation techniques have a couple of problems; they do not provide suitable recommendation to new users and also are limited to computing space that they generate recommendations which is dependent on ratings of products by users. Those problems has gathered some continuous interest from the recommendation field. In the case of new users, so similar users can't be classified because in the case of new users there is no rating created by new users. The problem of the limitation of the recommendation space is not easy to access because it is related to moneywise that the cost will be increasing rapidly when there is an addition to the dimension of recommendation. Therefore, I propose the solution of the recommendation problem of new user and the usage of item quality as weight to improve the accuracy of recommendation in this paper.

  • Sound is very important element to enhance and reinforce reality and immersion of users in virtual reality and computer animation. Recently, significant researches about sound modeling are presented in computer graphics community. In this article, main subjects are explained and major researches are reviewed based on the sound papers presented in computer graphics community. Specially, several papers about following two subjects are reviewed in this paper: 1) synthesing sound using physically-based laws and generating sound synchronized with graphics. 2) spatializing sound and modeling sonic environment. Many research about sound modeling have been focused on more efficient modeling of real physical law and generate realistic sound with limited resources. Based on this concept, various papers are introduced and the relationship between researches about sound and graphics is discussed.
