A Case Study of Overactive Bladder Patient Treated with Soeumin Sibimigwanjung-tang (소음인 십이미관중탕으로 호전된 과민성 방광 환자 치험 1례)

  • This study was aimed to report an significant improvement of urinary disturbance in overactive bladder patient using Soeumin's Sibimigwanjung-tang based on Sasang constitutional medicine. Methods A female overactive bladder patient with urinary disturbance including urgency, frequency, nocturia, tenesmus, weak stream was enrolled in this study. The patient was diagnosed as Soeum type greater-yin pattern and medicated with Sibimigwanjung-tang three times a day. Clinical improvement was evaluated with urination diary, International Prostate Symptom Score, Overactive Bladder Symptom Score, Numeric Rating Scale, and percentage of improvement compared to the day of hospitalization. Results Significant improvement was seen in urinary disturbance after 26 days of admission treatment. Also, symptoms of dyspepsia, coldness of hands and feet, and facial edema were improved. Conclusions This clinical case suggests that Sibimigwanjung-tang can be valuable option in treating urinary disturbance in overactive bladder within Soeum type greater-yin pattern.

  • 초고령화 사회로 진입하면서 건강의 유지 및 관리는 일상생활에서 매우 중요한 관심으로 대두되고 있다. 특히 우리나라 전통의학에 대한 가치성이 향상되면서 이를 실생활에 접목하기 위한 노력이 활발하게 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 사상의학에 대한 체질 분류의 객관화를 통해 예방차원의 건강 관리를 지속하기 위한 연구를 진행하고자 한다. 특히 사상의학에서 제안하고 있는 여러 사상체질 분류 방법 중에서 음성을 통한 사상체질 분류 방법을 공학적으로 구현하여 이를 객관적 진단 지표로 설계하고자 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 서울지역에 거주하고 있는 20-30대 남성의 음성을 수집하여 음성 분석학적 요소 중 피치 분석 요소들에 대한 추출 및 비교를 통해 사상의학의 사기론에서 제안하는 이론적 근거를 입증하고자 한다. 최종적으로 실험을 통해 추출된 결과를 사상의학 전문의의 진단 결과와 비교, 분석하여 제안하는 기법에 대한 검증을 수행하고자 한다.

  • 1. Purpose : The correct constitutional diagnosis and the accurate prescription are very important in clinical application of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Lee Je-ma emphasized that symptom is the best clue to diagnose constitution in "DongYi Suse Bowon". After research the characteristics of each constitution's symptoms and the backgrounds of constitutional prescriptions, this paper is to know the correct clinical application of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Method : Through the clinical applications of "DongYi Soose Bowon" and "Dongyi Sasang Sinpeun", the characteristics of constitutional symptoms and the application of prescription were researched 3. Results & Conclusions 1) The symptoms of Sasang Constitutional Medicine were came from the Hyung-Sang Medicine(形象醫學) which were important to mind-body equally and from the summarizing spirit of four Qi such as Warm-Hot-Cool-Cold(溫熱凉寒) 2) The symptoms of Soeumin and Soyangin are the Cold-Hot symptoms of ingestive food(水穀) and the treatment of symptoms is to control the ascent-descent of up and down. The symptoms of Taeumin and Taeyangin are the Warm-Cool symptoms of Qi-Yack(氣液) and the treatment of symptom is to control the unfasten-fasten of interior and exterior. 3) The symptoms of Taeyangin are 'Weak Lower part and Firm Upper part symptom'(下虛上實病證) and 'Blood and Yack Exhasted Symptom'(血液俱耗病證), the symptoms of Soeumin are 'Fall Down Symptom'(下陷病證) and Stomach Cold Symptom(胃寒病證), the symptoms of taeumin is 'Dryness Fever Symptom'(燥熱病證) and 'Interior Fever Symptom'(燥熱病證), the symptoms of Soyangin is 'Fire Fever Symptom'(火熱病證) and 'Interior Fever Symptom'(燥熱病證). 4) The characteristics of sasang constitutional symptoms are the exterior-interior symptoms classified with nature-emotion and cool-hot, the inclusive control of exterior-interior symptoms with healthy energy, and the classification of ingestive food symptoms and Qi-Yack symptoms. 5) The characteristics to treat symptoms are the classification of seriousness and obedience, the use herbs according to each constitutions, and inclusive symptoms control.

A design and implementation of VHDL-to-C mapping in the VHDL compiler back-end (VHDL 컴파일러 후반부의 VHDL-to-C 사상에 관한 설계 및 구현)

  • In this paper, a design and implementation of VHDL-to-C mapping in the VHDL compiler back-end is described. The analyzed data in an intermediate format(IF), produced by the compiler front-end, is transformed into a C-code model of VHDL semantics by the VHDL-to-C mapper. The C-code model for VHDL semantics is based on a functional template, including declaration, elaboration, initialization and execution parts. The mapping is carried out by utilizing C mapping templates of 129 types classified by mapping units and functional semantics, and iterative algorithms, which are combined with terminal information, to produce C codes. In order to generate the C program, the C codes are output to the functional template either directly or by combining the higher mapping result with intermediate mapping codes in the data queue. In experiments, it is shown that the VHDL-to-C mapper could completely deal with the VHDL analyzed programs from the compiler front-end, which deal with about 96% of major VHDL syntactic programs in the Validation Suite. As for the performance, it is found that the code size of VHDL-to-C is less than that of interpreter and worse than direct code compiler of which generated code is increased more rapidly with the size of VHDL design, and that the VHDL-to-C timing overhead is needed to be improved by the optimized implementation of mapping mechanism.

  • This study was performed with an aim to examine the inner thoughts of Muso Soseki through his works. In this study, we reviewed currently existing Mus$\bar{o}$ Soseki. Works in which his idea or intention behind his works are to be understood in terms of landscaping science or religious perspective. Targeting his best representative works of temple gardens such as Jochou-ji, Eiho-ji, Zuisen-ji, Tenryu-ji, it was sought his view of gardening and technique of garden making. Those temples, selected as target of this study, have significance as a places to have started his learning till matured of his thought into his gardening works. What we need to concentrate and think about regarding the works of Muso is the fact that we are to be impressed upon just looking at his works. The study result indicates that Muso not only symbolized his various mastered ideas & philosophies into spatial configuration into the garden based on Zen Buddhism idea, but also accomplished the Sabi-gardening beauty. Through his writing "Mongjoongmundap(夢中問答)" that is created using his core thoughts, his works can be understood better. This study has significance in that the idea. It could be understood that Muso's work is rooted in the basic idea of three ideas. The first of it is Zen philosophy being indicated in his configuration of gardening such as Zen meditation Stone, cave, chamdo etc. The second of it is shown as the merciful heart of Sangguboje(上求普提), Hahwajoongsaeng(下化衆生), being indicated in his configuration of gardening such as the pond And finally, there appears the Tao idea. Taoist thought has become of where the background space.

  • Zhangshi established his own ideal system in the process of self-cultivation in the Southern Song dynasty period, where academic exchanges were active. A common feature in the process of self-cultivation is the transformation of ideas. In the case of Zhangshi, his academic exchanges with contemporary mainstream scholars had a major impact on them, and Zhangshi was also able to systematize his own ideas. However, while there have been a lot of researches on the mainstream schools of the Southern Song period, there has been little research on the ideological trends and trends of the time when mainstream schools could have occurred. This paper attempts to understand the ideological trends of the Southern Song era by examining the formation process of the his theory of self-cultivation, and to examine the process of exchanging of mainstream schools through the field of self-cultivation. This work will be a meaningful process for understanding the philosophy of the Song era and for examining the tendency objectively. This paper examines the formation process of self-cultivation in the first half and the second half. In the first half, this paper refers to the ideological impact of schools that had influenced Zhangshi's thought, in the second half, this paper deals with the process of change of his theory of self-cultivation and then examines how his ideas had changed. This work will help to understand Zhangshi's own ideas and to understand how Zhu Xi's theory of Zhu xi, who had an ideological exchange with him, could be established.

A Study on Grievance-resolution for Women in Daesoon Thought: Focusing on Choi Song-sul-dang, a Female Writer from the Early 20th Century (대순사상의 여성 해원에 대한 연구 - 20세기초 여성 문인 최송설당을 중심으로 -)

  • This study is a novel attempt at a fusion of female-authored Chinese poetry and Daesoon Thought. Notably, this has style of fusion has never been attempted in classical literature studies or in studies on Daesoon Thought. This study will also clarify the the key concept of grievance-resolution (解冤 haewon) in Daesoon Jinrihoe through comparison with classical works. Choi Song-seoldang's poetry that was composed in the early 20th century, contemporaneous the emergence of Daesoon Thought, is analyzed here via the concepts of 'tranquility (平 pyeong)' and 'harmony (和 hwa)' under the framework of grievance-resolution for women. An effort is made to find a point of progression towards familial harmony (家和 gahwa) and Mutual Beneficence (相生 sangsaeng). Resentment (恨 han) from the perspective of a woman was expressed in her works such as Wang So-gun's Resentment (昭君怨 sogunwon), Self-Report (自述 Jasul), and An Original Rhyme of Song Seol-dang (松雪堂原韻 Song Seol-dang Won-un). Works such as Wishes on the First Day of New Year (元朝祝 wonjochuk) and A Spontaneous Poem (偶吟 Ueum) expressed the contents of wishing for familial peace. In the process of trying to resolve the grievances (冤 won) of her family, Song Seol-dang faced limitations, and felt resentment (恨 han) for her inability to become a man. She strived her whole life to embody 'tranquility' and 'harmony' as both are crucial components of achieving familial harmony. This thesis has an important significance in terms of academic expansion via the convergence of literature and ideas. In terms of Daesoon Thought, it is meaningful to examine concepts and literature within a context of fusion because this goes beyond research that focuses only on theory or ideology. It is also meaningful to confirm aspects of Daesoon Thought through the life and culture of the still traditional early modern era and to reveal how it still has the present-day significance that transcends time.

사상의학과 연변조선족 성인 두면부의 활체측량성체질 특점에 관한 연구

  • 체질인류학의 인체측량방법을 사상의학의 변상진단학에 응용하여 연변조석족 성인 300명 (남:149명, 여:151명) 두면부의 27개 항목을 측량하고 태음인, 소양인과 소음인의 부동한 측량항목의 평균치, 상지간차이(象間差異) 및 4개의 주요한 지수(指數)를 계산하여 태음인, 소양인과 소음인의 활체측량성체질특점과 지수성체질특점을 탐색하려 시도하였다. 그 결과 태음인의 두연형태는 비교적 크고 남자 소음인의(면부(面部)) 형태는 비교적 좁고 길며(착장(窄長)) 여자 소양인의 입술은 비교적 두꺼웠다.

  • Gyolhyungjeung is typical in soyangin and occur when Pyo and Li are all out of balance. The patient was treated with Dojukganggi-tang and showed improvement. This report is to describe the process and contents about the way the patient got the disease and cured.

  • The Sasang Constitutional Medicine seeks the psychosomatic balance, and the Basic principle of treatment according to the symptom(病證藥理) in Sasang Constitutional Medicine could be summarize as follows. 1. The pursuit of Shape-Image Medicine (形象醫學) and the Symptoms of shape - Symptoms of disease (形置病證). It established emotion, symptoms of constitution, and symptoms of constitutional disease on the base of Shape-Image Medicine (形象醫學) which means qi (氣) is inside and shape is outside (氣裡形表). 2. The inductive medicine and positive medicine. It systematized the Symptoms of shape - Symptoms of disease (形證病證) on the base of the medical practice of the ancients and Lee Jae-Ma (李濟馬)'s own experience inductively, and it present show to control the psychosomatic balance practically. 3. The pathology centering on human. Oriental medicine is based on Yin-Yang (陰陽) and Five elements (五行) and the harmony of nature and human (天人相應) of Taoism, but Sasang Constitutional Medicine is based on emotional and ethical pathology of Confucianism (儒學). 4. The treatment according to the symptom (病證藥理) in Sasang Constitutional Medicine centering on clear qi (正氣). The promotion and demotion (補瀉) which is based on clear qi (正氣) and evil qi (邪氣) is a basic principle in Oriental medicine, but In Sasang Constitutional Medicine it is attached importance to control of clear qi and classify obedience symptom and disobedience symptom (順 逆症) as the type to oppose disease. 5. The treatment according to the psychomatic symptoms. It takes importances to control of one-sided emotion as well as the treatment of psychical symptoms, and also to remedy disease as keeping under control one's mind. 6. The preventive medicine and the medicine to develop one's health. It is in pursuit of social health to develop personality through clear qi (正氣) in real life, to prevent disease, and to spread the sickness control of individual person. Sasang Constitutional Medicine pursuits the psychosomatic balance through 'Balance', 'Control', 'Self regulating Control' of the 'Golden Mean (中庸)' with the treatment according to the symptom (病證藥理) in Sasang Constitutional Medicine.
