Research on IoT International Strategic Standard Model (사물인터넷의 세계표준화 추진전략 모델 연구)

  • As the Internet-related products are launched in a variety of ways, if the products are not produced according to the world standardization model of the Internet, communication with the standardized products will not be smoothly performed. This study was carried out in order to improve the competitiveness of export by launching the global standardization promotion strategy of the Internet of things, to grasp the internet standardization trends of each country and to release the following products. This research work presents a strategic driving model that can enhance interoperability among heterogenous IoT devices. Therefore, this research proposed case by case strategic standard approach based on level of technologies.

  • We are currently able to share not only the information from humans but also the data from connected things on the Internet. We are getting close to IoT era because of progress of Information Communication Technology. Therefore, the ways of data transfer are offered between things to things. One of typical way is the HTTP protocol. However, The field of Internet of Things platforms requires more fast and more stable communication protocol to handle massive data. The system supporting HTTP protocol, there is a problem of transmission efficiency in a relatively large header compared to data. also HTTP protocol system overload situations and the problem of data compatibility happens due to each standard of many organizations. Thus, To solve these problems, I suggest the data collection solution based on MQTT protocol for the operation of the stable IoT platforms.

  • 사물인터넷 기술이 발전하고, 수요 또한 늘면서 이에 대한 표준 제정에 대한 요구도 늘고 있다. 이 요구에 맞추어 oneM2M 이라는 표준이 제정되고 있고, 다양한 플랫폼에 대한 호환성을 제공하여, 현존하는 시스템에 그대로 적용할 수 있는 특징을 가진 표준이 등장하였다. 다만, oneM2M이 호환성을 위해 제공하고 있는 프로토콜 바인딩 중에서 대규모, 실시간 환경에 적합한 프로토콜이 없어 이에 대한 추가적인 프로토콜 바인딩을 제공할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 DDS를 분석하여 대규모, 실시간 환경에 적합한 바인딩 전략을 제시하여, oneM2M이 대규모, 실시간 환경에도 적합한 사물인터넷 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 소개한다.

  • As the interest of things to the Internet increases, the market of IoT grows larger and devices and protocols related with IoT are evolving.As these IoT devices and protocols evolve, There was a problem with interoperability. As a result, market and standard of IoT are confused, and communication between objects and objects is being hindered by different platforms. Currently, various IoT platforms are being developed and interoperability with heterogeneous platforms is under study, but the protocols used on each platform are limited and designed to have no generalized structure. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze services of HTTP, CoAP, and MQTT protocols, which are typical in the Internet market, and design services that enable selective protocol communication. We also design resources that apply the RESTful API to generalize platform usage. and We implemented the platform through database modeling for quick processing and safety of the collected data. Through this process, devices communicating with different protocols can be interworked on one platform and We propose a "generalized selective protocol based Internet object data collecting platform" that can be applied to various protocols.

사물인터넷 보안 표준화 동향

  • 최근 다양한 산업 분야에서 사물인터넷(Internet of Things; IoT)에 관련된 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존 네트워크 환경에서와 같이 IoT 또한 다양한 보안 공격으로부터 노출 되어 있으며, 여러 가지 보안 이슈가 존재한다. IoT 환경에서는 디바이스, 플랫폼, 통신프로토콜의 이종성 문제로 인하여 공통의 보안 서비스 제공이 힘들게 되고 이를 해결하기 위하여 상호운용성 제공이 가능한 표준이 필요하게 된다. 본고에서는 다양한 보안 이슈들로부터 안전한 IoT 환경 구축을 위하여, IoT 보안 관련 국내외 표준화 기관를 분석하고, 각 기관에서 제시하고 있는 IoT 보안 관련 표준 및 표준화 동향을 분석하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문은 근거리 통신 기술인 NFC 통신을 통해 IPv6 패킷을 전송하기 위한 프로토콜 스택 및 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 최근 사물인터넷 환경에서 NFC를 탐재한 IoT 디바이스에 인터넷 연결 서비스를 제공하기 위한 기법이다. 현재 제안한 기법은 IETF 6lo WG에서 표준기술로 진행 중이며 추후 NFC 기기의 인터넷 연결성 제공을 위한 기술로 활용될 것이다.

Routing and Medium Access Control Interactions for Internet of Things (사물인터넷을 위한 라우팅과 매체접근제어의 상호작용)

  • Wireless Medium Access Control (MAC) and routing technologies are the basic building blocks making it possible the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies have been the focus of substantial research in the last decade. Nevertheless, as new networking standards for IoT are being proposed and different solutions are patched together, evaluating the performance of the network becomes unclear. In this paper, a new overview of MAC and routing protocols for IoT and new interactions are given. The IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and Routing Protocol for Low-power Lossy Network (RPL) routing protocols are taken as reference to exemplify and illustrate the discussion. Experimental results show that contention-based access MACs may hurt the routing, unless these two are carefully designed together.

Efficient Packet Transmission Utilizing Vertical Handover in IoT Environment (IoT 환경에서 수직 핸드오버를 활용한 효율적인 패킷 전송)

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) has recently been showered with much attention worldwide. Various kinds of devices, communicating with each other in the IoT, demand multiple communication technologies to coexist. In this environment, mobile devices may utilize the vertical handover between different wireless radio interfaces such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, for efficient data transfer. In this paper, an IoT broker is implemented to support the vertical handover, which can also support and manage heterogeneous devices and communication interfaces. The handover is activated based on RSSI, Link Quality values, and real time traffic. The experimental results show that the proposed handover system substantially improves QoS in Bluetooth and reduces power consumption in mobile devices as compared with a system using only Wi-Fi.
