A Review of Structure and Application of Unified Medical Language System(UMLS) (통합의학언어 시스템(UMLS)의 구성 및 적용에 대한 고찰)

  • Various controlled vocabularies such as thesaurus and classification used for effective information retrieval contain different terms in expressing the same concept or meaning. National Library of Medicine has developed the Unified Medical Language System(UMLS) to solve the problems of information retrieval and integration resulted from the difference of concepts between different sources. The UMLS development was initiated in 1982 as a long-term project, and the 2001 edition of the UMLS consists of three parts : Metathesaurus, Semantic Network, and SPECIALIST Lexicon. This paper reviews background and structure of the UMLS including applications in PubMed, NLM Gateway.

Design and Implementation of LED Board Effect Program using Portable Lighting Stick (휴대용 전광봉을 이용한 전광판 효과 프로그램의 설계 및 제작)

  • 본 연구에서는 휴대 할 수 있는 선형 LED 전광봉으로 2차원 LED 전광판 효과의 구현을 시도하였다. 전광봉을 회전하면 전광판의 효과가 나도록 구성한 것으로, adafruit의 스트립(strip) 형 네오픽셀(NeoPixel) 1 × 16 LED으로 형성되는 구조물을 만들고, 이를 제어 할 수 있는 회로와 제어 프로그램을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현한 전광봉은 큰 전력 소모에도 문제없도록 리튬 이온 충전지를 이용하여 전원이 공급되도록 하여 휴대성을 구현하였고, 블루투스 칩이 부착된 아두이노를 이용하여 하드웨어 구성을 완료하였다. 아두이노에는 C++를 이용하여 전광봉으로 전광판 효과를 볼 수 있도록 LED들을 통제하는 제어용 프로그램을 구성하였을 뿐 아니라 블루투스를 이용한 스마트 폰과 통신할 수 있는 프로그램을 구현하였다. 대략 6도 단위로 LED가 제어 되도록 하여 1회전에 16 × 60 정도의 전광판 효과를 볼 수 있다. 스마트 폰에는 원하는 전광판을 구성할 수 있도록 색상 팔레트 형성 기능과, 통제용 전광판의 크기를 결정 기능, 크기가 결정된 전광판에서 원하는 색으로 홍보용 내용이 불이 켜질 수 있도록 전광판 구성 기능, 구성된 전광판 자료를 CSV(Comma Separate Value) 파일로 저장하고, 전광봉으로 보낼 수 있는 기능을 구성하였다.

  • Case-based reasoning is an efficient method to find solutions for new problems by using past cases after appropriate changes. It is widely used in everyday life because it resembles the way human acts. In this paper, we propose a military system that generates the most appropriate tactics for CGF (Computer Generated Forces) by utilizing past practices. It indeed applies case-based reasoning at the process of armed conflict. When the CGF squad on a mission, they will be given an action plan to reach the final goal. In the process of executing, tactics for specific action should be organized such as attacks, ambushes, and tactical moves. By using the proposed method, tactics were generated by case-based reasoning. The proposed system successfully receives input through each command and control agent, measures the degree of similarity with the case in case DB, selects the most similar case, modifies, uses, and then stores it for next time.

전자제품 조립라인에서의 셀형 제조시스템 도입 방법론

  • 기존의 셀형 제조시스템에 관한 연구는 부품과 기계간의 유사성(Similarity) ${\cdot}$ 분석하여 복잡하고 큰 규모로 인해 통제 및 조정이 매우 힘든 제조시스템을 최소의 물류비용을 갖는 개별 하부 제조 시스템(Manufacturing Cell). 그러나 이러한 연구는 설비의 비중이 큰 작업장에서 설비의 효율적인 활용을 목적으로 하는 방법론이기 때문에 전자제품 조립라인과 같이 설비보다 작업자의 비중이 더 큰 라인에서는 별도의 연구가 필요하다. 현실적으로 셀형 제조시스템을 도입하여 가시적인 성과를 거둔 사례는 전자제품 조립라인의 경우가 훨씬 많다. 본 연구에서는 전자제품 조립라인에서 적용할 수 있는 조립 셀의 개념을 확립하고 성공적인 조립 셀의 도입을 위한 방법론을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 산업사회의 시작과 더불어 근대기업의 탄생과 같이 생겨난 CI는 시장상황의 변화에 따라 경쟁력 강화를 위한 수단으로 실시하게 되었다. 시장환경이 점차 첨단화 ·다변화 ·다양화 ·세분화되기 시작하면서 CI또한 기업의 특성에 따라 그 양상이 달라지고 잇다. CI의 핵심인 아니덴티티란 기업이미지의 지속적 축적의 결과로 사람들이 기업에 대해 품는 감정이나 의지의 총화로서 곧 잠재매상이자 잠재자산인 것이다. 기업의 아이댄티티를 확립하기 위해서는 회사와 관련된 각종 시각물들의 체계적 통제가 필요하며 기업에 따라 시각물의 특정이 다르기 때문에 CI의 개발방향도 달라지게 된다. 시화센터는 32개동의 공구상가, 3개동의 동력상가 5개동의 철재상가와 2개동의 지원상가로 이루어진 산업용재 전문유통상가이다. 따라서 이미지의 주된 요소는 당연히 건물과 여러가지 환경물일 수밖에 없기 때문에 환경디자인 측면에서의 CI가 실시되어야 하는 것이다. 각각의 기능동을 시각적으로 구별하여 하나의 아이덴티티로 체계화하는 작업이 본 연구의 중심내용이다. 본 연구는 현장조사와 설문조사를 거쳐 환경적용에 적합한 기능적 시각체계를 개발한다.

A Study on Primary Control Area for Information Security Management System (ISMS): Focusing on the Domestic Three Industries (정보보호 관리체계를 위한 주요 통제영역에 대한 연구: 국내 3개 산업을 중심으로)

  • Most industries have introduced and operate an information security management system (ISMS) or a personal information security management system (PIMS) to suitably protect and maintain customer's information and company trade secrets. This study starts with the premise that it is desirable for every industry considering information security to maintain an ISMS. ISMS can be of different types among various organizations, taking into consideration culture, practical work procedures, and guidelines for information security. This study intends to derive primary control areas of an ISMS for each industry based on organizational size and audit type by analyzing non-conformity trends and control factors according to certification audits for organizations introduced for international ISMS under ISO27001. This study analyzed improvement effects of ISMS through case analyses. It is meaningful as exploratory research, although it was difficult to acquire data for empirical study because few organizations maintain certification in major industrial sectors. The requirements presented the highest frequency of non-conformity for each type from the 2013-initiated ISO27001; the years 2013 to 2020 were extracted as the primary control area. The study found that for primary control areas of ISMS for each of three industries, organizational size and audit type had differences.

A Study on the Relationship between Construction of EDI system and Organizational Performance (전자자료교환시스템의 구축과 조직의 성과와의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated a special class or Electronic Data Interchange(EDI) system. While it has been predicted that the use of EDI will have a significant impact on the competitive advantage of organization. very little is known about the successful construction of such system. A few studies done in this area have relied on anecdotal data on data based on a small number of case studies. The major objectives of the research are to identify the factors that facilitate the adoption and successful construction of an EDI system, and to evaluate the impact of the EDI system on competitive advantage of the organization. Based on the EDI literature. organizational performance is modeled to be affected by three independent variables: EDI system. communication. trust. The level of EDI system was used as control variable. The data used to test the model were collected in a mail survey from department store in Korea. The results indicate that organizational performance is affected by EDI system, communication. The paper concludes with a discussion of future directions for research in the area of test EDI models.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of action learning methods and practices, which have a research focus on learner-centered teaching after training students to use collaborative learning practices from the viewpoint that the learners acquire English skills through peer correction activities based on sociocultural learning theory[1]. From March 1, 2018 to June 15, 2018, one control class and one experimental group were selected from the general freshman English courses. The experimental group attended classes centered on collaborative writing activities using action learning and cooperation techniques, and the control group attended classes lecture style and rote learning methods to teach writing. The result of study has shown that, for the experimental group, there have been statistically significant results in the production of writing, such as the number of words, the number of sentences, and sentence length. Learners could share the knowledge or ideas of others in their learning relationships with more regular basis.

Games Application Methodology for History Education: Case Study of Developing a Serious Game for History Education (역사교육에 대한 게임 활용 방안: 기능성 게임 개발사례를 중심으로)

  • Although computer games seem to be efficient tools for facilitating and supporting situated learning in Europe, GBL(game based learning) is less likely in Korea. The objectives of this paper are to address the causes of the problem and evaluate a serious game for history GBL. We review various cases of history GBL projects in European School Net, commercial games and serious games which are related to history. We draw a demand of our game's structural type, learning criterion, basic model of instruction, and executable prototype from the analysis results. Scene management educators pursue and dependencies of turning points in the history are critical differentiator. An evaluation team of educators, learners, and edu-game managers evaluates that the prototype is suitable model for application in history instruction.

A Study on the maDMP (machine-actionable DMP) Implementation Cases and its Application Method (maDMP 구현 사례와 적용방안에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the preparation and submission of DMP is gradually becoming compulsory, centering on domestic government-funded research institutes. However, as DMP preparation is described in written or free text, there is a problem that research data management cannot be properly explained due to non-standardization and insufficient preparation in terms of standards, formats, and management. Therefore, in this study, a case study was conducted on a machine-readable DMP that can be automatically generated and maintained by a machine, and a method for applying maDMP was proposed. Examples of maDMP investigated included RDCS, Argos, Haplo Repository, and DMap. In addition, the use of permanent identifiers, application of controlled vocabulary, and application of semantic technologies such as ontology can be mentioned as possible ways to apply maDMP.
