A Study on the Integration of Airborne LiDAR and UAV Data for High-resolution Topographic Information Construction of Tidal Flat (갯벌지역 고해상도 지형정보 구축을 위한 항공 라이다와 UAV 데이터 통합 활용에 관한 연구)

  • To preserve and restore tidal flats and prevent safety accidents, it is necessary to construct tidal flat topographic information including the exact location and shape of tidal creeks. In the tidal flats where the field surveying is difficult to apply, airborne LiDAR surveying can provide accurate terrain data for a wide area. On the other hand, we can economically obtain relatively high-resolution data from UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) surveying. In this study, we proposed the methodology to generate high-resolution topographic information of tidal flats effectively by integrating airborne LiDAR and UAV point clouds. For the purpose, automatic ICP (Iterative Closest Points) registration between two different datasets was conducted and tidal creeks were extracted by applying CSF (Cloth Simulation Filtering) algorithm. Then, we integrated high-density UAV data for tidal creeks and airborne LiDAR data for flat grounds. DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and tidal flat area and depth were generated from the integrated data to construct high-resolution topographic information for large-scale tidal flat map creation. As a result, UAV data was registered without GCP (Ground Control Point), and integrated data including detailed topographic information of tidal creeks with a relatively small data size was generated.

A Study on Fire Facilities of Urbane Buildings (도시건축물의 소방시설에 관한 연구(I))

  • 우리나라는 1960년대의 경제개발계획에 따른 공업화 시축의 추진으로 산업의 발달과 경제성장은 인구를 도시로 집중시키면서 도시건축물은 대형화, 고층화, 과밀화 현상을 가져왔다. 한편, 국민생활의 향상과 산업활동의 다양화로 화재발생의 주요원인이 되는 전기, 가스, 유류등의 사용량이 해마다 늘어나고 있어 화재의 위험을 가중시키고 있다. 최근 10연간('81~'90) 전국에서 발생한 화재사고는 9만 5,154건이 발생하여 인명피해 1만1,117명, 재산피해 1,859억 2,200만원의 많은 손실을 가져 왔으며, 이 중에는 서울에서 발생한 화재가 3만6,089건으로 전체의 37.9%을 차지하고 있다. 화재가 발생할 경우 대형 참사를 방지하고 귀중한 인명피해는 물론 경제적 손실을 최저로 줄일 수 있는 소방시설을 도시건축물에 설치하여 이에 대비하는 것이 무엇보다 귀중한 일이다. 이는 화재예방 또는 발생 초기에 이를 감지, 통보하고 피난하며 소화활동에 이르는 모든 방재 및 소화를 위한 소방시설의 유용성을 최대로 발휘할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 서울특별시를 중심으로 도시건축물에 설치된 소방시설의 유지 관리 실태와 화재시 소방시설의 이용실태를 분석하여 문제점을 도출하고 이에 대한 개선방향을 제시하므로서 예방소방행정의 발전을 기하고저 하였으며, 그 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 제1장에서는 서론부분으로서 연구의 목적과 범위및 접근 방법을 서술하였고, 제2장에서는 도시소방행정의 특성 및 소방환경의 변화로 먼저 소방행정의 의의와 도시소방행정의 유형으로 예방소방과 진압소방 그리고 구급.구조업무등을 살피고. 도시소방환경변화에 따른 화재발생추세를 살펴 보았다. 제3장에서는 도시건축물에 설치하는 소방시설의 설치.유지 및 이용실태를 검사.분석하였다. '90년도 서울시내 소방서에서 실시한 소방대상물에 대한 소방검사와 방화관리자에 대한 설문조사를 실시하여 소방시설의 유지관리실태를 통계.분석한 결과, 소방시설이 양호한 소방대상물은 전체의 75.9%이며, 불량소방대상물은 24.1%로 나타났다. 그리고 화재가 발생한 소방검사대상물에 대한 화재현장 조사결과 화재시 소방시설을 사용한 소방대상물은 전체의 72.1%를 차지하고 있다. 제4장에서 는 소방시설의 문제점으로 \circled1 소방설비부실공사, \circled2 소방시설 유지관리능력부족, \circled3 소방검사제도 불합리등이며, 이에 대한 개선방향으로 \circled1 소방설비 시공자의 지도. 감독강화, \circled2 자체시설관리능력향상, \circled3 예방소방행정제도의 개선을 제시하였다. 제5장은 결론으로, 우리나라가 최근 경제성장과 산업의 발달로 도시건축물의 화재발생 위험이 가중되면서 이에 대한 소방안전대비책이 요구된다. 이에는 도시건축물에 방화시설과 소방시설을 완비하고, 그리고 자격있고 유능한 방화관리자 선임하여 자체 소방계획을 수립하여 시설점검, 정비와 유지관리를 철저히 한다면 어떠한 화재도 예방 또는 초기에 진압할 수 있고, 또한 입주검자에 대한 소방교육 및 훈련을 지속적으로 수행하여 나간다면 여하한 도시건축물의 소방안전도 그 목적을 달성하리라고 생각한다.

A Study on the Improvement of Recommended Route in the Vicinity of Wando Island using Support Vector Machine (서포트 벡터 머신을 이용한 완도 인근해역 추천항로 개선안에 관한 연구)

  • It is necessary to set a route to reflect the traffic flow for the safety of the traffic vessels. This ongoing analysis is needed to ensure that the vessels comply with a route. The purpose of this study is to discover the problems of the recommended route vicinity for Wando Harbor and suggest an improvement plan. We used a support vector machine based on the ship's trajectory to establish an efficient route center line. Since the vessels should navigate to the starboard side, with reference to the center line of the recommended route, the trajectories of the vessels were divided into two clusters. The support vector machine is being used in many fields such as pattern recognition, and it is effective for this binary classification. As a result of this study, about 79.5 % of the merchant eastbound ships in a 2.4 NM distance to Jangjuk Sudo did not observe the recommended route, so the risk of collision always existed. The contraflow traffic rate of the route of the eastbound ships decreased from 79.5 % to 30.9 % when the recommended route was reset about 300 meters to the north, from its present position. The support vector machine applied in this study is expected to be applicable, to effectively set the route center line because the ship trajectories can be classified into two clusters.

Estimation of Traffic Safety Improvement Effect of Forward Collision Warning (FCW) (전방충돌경보(FCW)의 교통안전 증진효과 추정)

  • The Forward Collision Warning, a representative technology of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, was selected as the target technology. The cognitive response time, deceleration, and impact were selected as the measures of effectiveness. And the amount of change with and without the Forward Collision Warning was measured. The experimental scenarios included a sudden stop event (1) of the vehicle in front of the driver and an event (2) in which the vehicle intervened in the next lane. All experiments were divided into day and night. As a result of the analysis, response time and the deceleration rate decreased when the forward collision warning system was installed. It was analyzed that the driver's risk situation could be detected quickly and the number of front-end collisions could be reduced as a result. Reflecting the driver's operating habits and diversifying the experimental scenarios will increase the installation effectiveness of ADAS and be used to estimate the effectiveness of other technologies.

Development of a deep-learning based automatic tracking of moving vehicles and incident detection processes on tunnels (딥러닝 기반 터널 내 이동체 자동 추적 및 유고상황 자동 감지 프로세스 개발)

  • An unexpected event could be easily followed by a large secondary accident due to the limitation in sight of drivers in road tunnels. Therefore, a series of automated incident detection systems have been under operation, which, however, appear in very low detection rates due to very low image qualities on CCTVs in tunnels. In order to overcome that limit, deep learning based tunnel incident detection system was developed, which already showed high detection rates in November of 2017. However, since the object detection process could deal with only still images, moving direction and speed of moving vehicles could not be identified. Furthermore it was hard to detect stopping and reverse the status of moving vehicles. Therefore, apart from the object detection, an object tracking method has been introduced and combined with the detection algorithm to track the moving vehicles. Also, stopping-reverse discrimination algorithm was proposed, thereby implementing into the combined incident detection processes. Each performance on detection of stopping, reverse driving and fire incident state were evaluated with showing 100% detection rate. But the detection for 'person' object appears relatively low success rate to 78.5%. Nevertheless, it is believed that the enlarged richness of image big-data could dramatically enhance the detection capacity of the automatic incident detection system.

Risk Analysis of VTS operators for Small Vessels Using Collision Risk Assessment Model (충돌위험도 평가 모델을 활용한 소형선박에 대한 선박교통관제사의 위험도 분석)

  • The objective of this study was to analyze the risk of collision accidents to the VTSOs (Vessel Traffic Service Operators) as small ferries and fishing boats are expanded for monitoring targets. The VTSOs was surveyed, the scale of the small vessels defined and the course of general cargo vessels and small vessels along the Busan VTS area investigated for three days. From calculating the risk with CoRI, patterns of increased or decreased risk due to course deviation were similar, and there was no significant difference between the maximum values and the minimum values. In addition, most VTSOs responded that the minimum time required was approximately three minutes to safely instruct in encounter situation, however, the collision risk with a small vessel is very rapidly changing within the three minutes, which is likely to increase the workload and decrease the concentration of the VTSOs. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect on VTSOs with respect to the expansion of small vessels as collision risk, it is expected that it will contribute to the establishment of a suitable scale for the target vessels for VTS through the analysis of each index of the CoRI model and various case studies.

Effect of Repeated Laundry on Shrinkage Rate of Chainsaw Protective Pants (반복세탁이 산림작업복 하의의 수축률에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to reduce the safety risk of forestry operations, this research was conducted to examine the suitability of chainsaw protective pants after repeated laundering, testing four different products that are currently used in hand-held chainsaw operations. Laundering was repeated 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 times. After washing, we measured the shrinkage ratio of 17 measurement positions mostly affecting the safety of forest operations and suggested the expected safety life cycle of chainsaw protective clothes. The results showed that most of the products have only one measurement position where the standard shrinkage ratio (<6%) was exceeded after 20 washings, and that the lateral direction of measurement positions shrank more than the vertical one. The numbers of repeated launderings and measurement positions were found to be significant factors influencing the shrinkage ratio (p<0.05). In the shrinkage rates for 17 measurement positions, there were significant correlations between five of the measurement positions (a, b, g, j, and n) and the number of repeated launderings (p<0.05). Therefore, the results suggest that about 10 months would be suitable for an adequate safety lifetime for chainsaw protective pants. The relationship between the number of repeated launderings and the measurement positions will be further analyzed in detail to examine the durability of chainsaw protective pants.

Evaluation of Angle Dependence on Positional Radioisotope Source Detector using Monte Carlo Simulation in NDT (몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 방사선원 위치 검출기의 각도의존성 연구)

  • Radiation sources used in the field of industrial non-destructive pose a risk of exposure due to ageing equipment and operator carelessness. Thus, the need for a safety management system to trace the location of the source is being added. In this study, Monte Carlo Simulation was performed to analyse the angle dependence of the unit-cell comprising the line-array dosimeter for tracking the location of radiation sources. As a result, the margin of error for the top 10% of each slope was 5.90% at $0^{\circ}$, 8.08% at $30^{\circ}$, and 20.90% at $60^{\circ}$. The ratio of the total absorbed dose was 83.77% at $30^{\circ}$ and 53.36% at $60^{\circ}$ based on $0^{\circ}$(100%) and showed a tendency to decrease with increasing slope. For all gradients, the maximum number was shown at $30^{\circ}$ No. 9 pixels, and for No. 10, there was a tendency to drop 7.24 percent. This study has shown a large amount of angle dependence, and it is estimated that the proper distance between the source and line-array dosimeters should be maintained at a distance of not less than 1 cm to reduce them.

Analysis of Ambivalence Differences among Groups for Temporary Firefighting Facilities of Workers at Construction Sites (공사현장 근로자의 임시소방시설에 대한 집단 간 Ambivalence 차이분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to prevent fire accidents in advance by deriving prior knowledge among groups about temporary fire-fighting facilities of workers at construction sites and devising appropriate improvement measures. The findings are as follows.First, in the case of fire extinguishers, statistical attention was paid to the contractor, supervisor, partner worker and fire extinguisher manager between designations. 87% of fire managers and 70% of facility supervisors said fire extinguisher management managers needed to be designated for each type of construction, which requires designation of fire extinguisher management managers, frequently checking and relocating. Second, in the case of simple fire extinguishing facilities, statistical attention was paid to the application of penalties for unauthorized use of fire extinguishing facilities with construction companies, supervisors, and business partners.Third, in the case of emergency alarm measures, statistical attention was paid to the application of emergency alarm sound to temporary broadcasting facilities with construction works, supervisors, and business partners.Fourth, in the case of induction, statistical attention was paid to the application of connection between construction works, supervisors, and partner workers, such as passage guidance, emergency lighting, etc.It was found that 65% of construction workers and 55% of electrical workers had different applications such as aisle guidance and emergency lighting for each type of business partner. In order to resolve blind spots such as evacuation zone guidance due to the structure of the building, it is necessary to easily distinguish the direction of the entrance door from a long distance by applying it in conjunction with passage guidance lights and emergency lighting.

Stress Distribution Analysis for High Pressure CNG Pressure Vessel Using FEM (유한요소법을 이용한 고압 CNG압력용기 응력분포 해석)

  • Most of the domestic city buses are equipped with the pressure vessels subjected to internal pressure applied by compressed natural gas. Pressure vessels subjected to internal pressure are used in various forms and purposes. Fuel is explosive and has flammable high pressure. The damage of the pressure vessel causes many property damage and loss of life. Safe design for pressure vessel is always necessary. Due to these reasons, many studies using finite element analysis have been conducted. In this paper, the stresses of cylindrical vessel and spherical dome were analyzed using ANSYS, a finite element analysis software. In order to verify the validity of the analysis, a model with a perfectly spherical shape of the dome was designed and observed. Based on the ASME standard in used, stress distribution was also analyzed for models designed with compressed natural gas(CNG). The FEM analysis software agreed with the theory when the dome shape was perfectly spherical. The model designed based on the ASME specification theory, stress concentration occurred in the knuckle part.
