  • In this work, we propose a new optical configuration for a 3-stack color LCD using subtract color mixing method. This configuration consists of 3 color polarizers, a neutral polarizer and 3 LC cells. With the proposed configuration, we can increase the contrast ratio practically by using a neutral polarizer and reduce the manufacturing cost. To reduce wavelength dispersion, the sequence of polarizers is optimized.

  • In this study, the effect of light irradiation on tyrosinase activity during storage in a low temperature incubator was investigated, with the goal of identifying the appropriate wavelength and intensity of light for inhibiting tyrosinase activity. Fluorescent light and blue light emitting diode (LED) irradiation were found to inhibit tyrosinase activity. In particular, tyrosinase activity was significantly inhibited under high intensity blue LED irradiation, suggesting that the activity of tyrosinase present in vegetables or fruits might be inhibited by LED irradiation. Therefore, blue LED irradiation during food storage and the distribution stage would be useful for ensuring good quality of food, owing to the inhibition of the enzymatic browning reaction.

  • Mycelial browning, which protects the organism from contamination and moisture loss, is essential for sawdust cultivation of Lentinula edodes. The effects of light and light wavelengths on the mycelial browning of the L. edodes Sanjo 701ho strain, and the characteristics of its brown hyphae, were investigated. After the mycelia were cultured on potato dextrose agar medium under fluorescent lamps covered with colored cellophane filters (red, green, and blue) or under light emitted diodes (LED), with wavelengths ranging from 400 to 700 nm (far-red, red, green, and blue), for 14 h per day for 40 days, the mycelial browning rate was measured. The wavelength of fluorescent lamps, which range from 300 to 1,100 nm, was reduced to 360 to 1,022 nm with the use of three colored cellophane filters and the photosynthetic photon flux density was reduced by 42 to 71 % depending on the light wavelength. The browning rate by colony area of mycelia exposed to light was at an average of 64 %, whereas, that of unexposed mycelia was only 5 %. The browning rate was 0.02 % in far-red, 1.5 % in red, 53.8 % in green, 57.3 % in blue, and 64.0 % in fluorescent light. The white mycelia were resilient with actively growing hyphae, filled with cytoplasm, and thin cell walls less than $1{\mu}m$ thick. Conversely, the brown mycelia possessed dead, hard hyphal structures without cytoplasm, but with approximately $2-4{\mu}m-thick$-thick cell walls. In conclusion, lights of varying wavelengths, especially short-wavelength LEDs, are effective for forming dead, brown mycelia of L. edodes, thus, forming a protective functional layer for its living white mycelia.

  • There are many colors in the world, the colors can always send any signal or sign to humans. This paper find out color preference and hunam character. Humans unconsciously react to the colors and are affected be the color. These colors give humans a very large effect and impacrt. Seeing colors, we are look up or sinking and lighter or better of atmosphere. In other words, a man gets a message of color from the light. If you accept the message by recognizing and self-awareness, you can see the general meaning of the color, and you can know how to use color more effectively.

  • It is the most important technological progress for the computer graphics when computer has incorporated the color system. However, color system used in computer is totally different from traditional color system like printing ink or painting color because it is exist only in the form of wavelengths of light on the computer screen. Therefore, some compatible problems are still remains with traditional design process or color matching in photography. It is important to produce precise representation and management of color in the current design system which is controlled and managed by computer to merge design process. In this study, I have discussed the merits of color, technological characteristics, designer's approach to color and traditional color system. Also I analyzed the aesthetic characteristics of computer color system which are found in computer graphics technology and compared them to traditional color system to try to find some opportunity and possibility for new method of development.

  • This study conducted basic research on an LED lighting design to improve the learning effect from brain wave analysis. The ideal environments of mathematics, language, and creative region can be different. Inside the space where the lighting environment can be experienced directly, the test subject consisted of common elements. Other lighting was blocked completely in controlled lighting conditions. The brain waves were analyzed according to the change in color temperature and illumination. The analyzer used was fabricated by EMOTIV Company. In the variable RGB LED light, the color of the light was measured, and the brain wave of each subject was determined. LED lights have variable color temperature (3000 [K], 4500 [K]. 250 [lux], 70% -350 [lux], 100% -500 [lux]). As research results, the highest concentration in a mathematics study was in the general condition of a high color temperature, in which the optimal condition was a 6000[K] color temperature and 350[lux] illumination. The optimal condition for a language study was a 4500[K] color temperature and 500[lux] illumination, and that of the creative study was 3000[K] color temperature and 500[lux] illumination. Overall, the possibility of emotional ability and concentrated learning efficiency can be improved by the LED lighting design with the color temperature and illumination.

  • It illuminates the representation of Korean dance in the sense of color. The unique color and light of Korean dance reflects the essence of Korean art and the consciousness of Koreans. Therefore, analyzing Korean art, colors and meanings can provide the principle of aesthetic interpretation to re-examine Korean colors. This means that it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of developing original contents as a humanistic basis, asking the origin of Korean art. The Korean thought and philosophy in which color and life become cultures remain the roots for another re-creating vision of Korean art. Therefore, it is time to establish a system of Korean identity as an art with the expansion of various interpretations of various aesthetic attitudes that recognize Korean dance.
