  • The purpose of this study was to determine what rules or patterns exist when people gaze at a villa savoye, which is probably Le Corbusier's best known building, using eye-movement tracking techniques. Villa savoye was designed, addressing his emblematic "Five Points", such as pilotis, functional roofs, free floor plans, long horizontal windows, and freely-designed facades. This study examined how the villa savoye's facade image is formed in an objective manner. This study selected a total of 56 test subjects, and showed them an image of a villa savoye. Using eye-movement tracking tools, this study recorded where they mostly gazed at when seeing the building. In addition, an experiment was carried out to test the different points of view, relating to visual attention, between the two groups with different levels of knowledge in architecture. To analyze the data, the Gaze Frequency was used as the key indicator. The results showed that the subjects have a higher degree of attention to either the door or window in general than in former studies. The architecture major group showed that they gazed the experiment image more evenly.

  • This study covers centrality of villas after Renaissance and architectural forms corresponding to the nature in the aspect of Karl Popper and Gilles Deleuze. In addition, the researcher tries to understand the changes in architectural forms according to the changes in places. To do that, Pascal and Hans Meyer's theory was introduced as a major theory. The researcher tries to set up the standard by analyzing the architectural form related with the nature and the form of center in the housing through Villa Rotonda and Villa Emo. And with key analysis of the centrality and architectural form corresponding to the nature and the four houses that are historically and morphologically important. It is found that due to the development in modern technology and materials, a variety of architectural approach is developed and they are implemented as various architectural forms. However, due to various theories of modern architectural approach, it is found that the morphological differences of suburban housing exists by forming a universal relationship constructed by four architects. The researcher expects to be understood and realized in real life construction.

  • This study is purposed to understand the usage of the color and the material pattern in detail and to apply for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the color and the pattern at random. While the usage of the color and the materials was ignored rather than architectural form, the importance of the color and the materials stands out in modern interior space. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed case pieces for storage and wall partition for division as architecture, and he units furniture and architecture by developing partition that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as wall partition. He loved white and lie believed in using it for interiors, but noted that it should also be balanced with a wall related polychromy. Color became an integral part of white structure of the villa savoye that was raised on stilt with an exterior wall at the base painted green as a visual connection with the lawn. Color was used architecturally in the interior as well, with white walls interrupted by planes of pink, blue and red ocher and it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with tile color of the finishing materials. the various usage of the color and material patterns constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection.

  • The purpose of the study is to verify the effect of the Domus type on the modern housing-typology. This article specifies conceptual architectural typology through studying housing types and the changes by comparing experimental results over time since the ancient to the modern times. To successfully establish the purpose of this article, I cited Saussure's verbal methodology of system and representation along with Deleuze's philosophical cause of differentiation and repetition. Also adopting Aldo Rossi's architectural theory of typology, I established theory of housing continuation and alteration. I will compare and analyze particularly the Domus type, Adolf Loos's M$\ddot{u}$ller house, Luis Barragan's house, Le Corbusier's Villa Sovoye, and Mies van der Rohe's Three court house. And I research on the difference between architectural representation of hall and courtyard in modern housing. This research looks to emphasize historical comprehension and practical application of architectural history through housing studies.

  • This study is purposed to understand the spacial usage of the furniture in detail for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the spacial furniture at random. While modernist have been interested in the spacial usage of the furniture, the importance of the spacial furniture stands out in architectural space. Since long ago, a great deal of effort has been put into creating a relational harmony between the space and furniture. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed desks and case pieces for storage as architecture, and the unite furniture and architecture by developing cabinets in standard modules that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as furniture. Spacial furniture was used architecturally in the interior as well, it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with the color of the finishing materials. The various usage of the Spacial furniture constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection. In particular, the furniture that was considered by Corbuisier have rational function, division of the space, leaning the structure, and so on. The furniture as the element of the space composition can change the architectural space and view as well as connecting each other. Spacial furniture appear as physical ones called wall, floor, column, and existential value as a living space.
