Kongzi's 'the Rectification of Name(正命)' and Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name(非常名)' - Laotzu's Tao and Saussure's Linguistics: an exact meeting - (공자의 '정명(正名)'과 노자의 '비상명(非常名)' - 노자의 도와 소쉬르의 언어학: 제대로 된 만남 -)

  • This article is designed to help ensure that "Laotzu's Tao and Saussure's Linguisticse's Linguistics" can meet properly. To carry out this project, I asked how to understand Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name(非常名)'. Comparing Kongzi's 'the Rectification of name(正命)' with Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name', The meaning of the two concepts becomes clear. Kongzi's 'the Rectification of name' is political philosophy to restore etiquette through language order. In comparison, Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name' refers to Randomness[arbitraire] of the symbol. It shows that the order of languages can be dismantled, and that the structure, norms, and etiquette of society, which are established by language order, can be dismantled. Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name' is a logic that defies language as an institution, as a symbolism, and as a logic of disintegration. To illustrate this point, Searsure's Linguistics was brought in for discussion. In Saussure's Linguistics, the arbitrary nature of the symbol is the same as the Lotzu's 'Not the eternal Name'. Three arguments were used to elucidate the logic of the resistance and the logic of Deconstruct of the Language structure. First, I explained that the discussion of 'Name' was not just about 'the name of an object' but about the system, laws and norms of a society. Second, I explained the argument that language order is a social institution and a social structure by taking the words Saussure and Lacon. Third, I explained that 'not the eternal Name' is an important term that reveals the arbitrary and arbitrary relationship between the signifiant and the signifie. These arguments explain that Laotzu's 'not the eternal Name' is the logic of dismantling the language as a system and as the symbolic.

A Study on Minimum Cabin Crew Requirements for Korean Low Cost Air Carriers

  • In recent 3 years, Korea's low-cost airlines have expanded their areas of passenger transportation not only to domestic market but also to Japan, China, Southeast Asia and US territory as a total of 6 companies (8 airlines including small air operation business carriers). Currently, three more airlines have filed for air transportation business certification as future low-cost carriers, and this expansion is expected to continue. To cope with the aggressive airline operations of domestic and foreign low-cost carriers and to enhance their competitiveness, each low-cost airline is taking a number of strategies for promoting cabin service. Therefore, the workload of the cabin crew is increased in proportion to the expansion, and the fatigue directly connected with the safety task performance is increased. It is stipulated in the Enforcement Regulations of the Korea Aviation Safety Act that at minimum, one cabin crew is required per 50 passenger seating capacity, and all low cost carriers are boarding only the minimum cabin crew. Sometimes it is impossible for them to sit in a floor level emergency exit for evacuation, which is the main task of the cabin crew, and this can cause confusion among evacuating passengers in the event of an emergency. In addition, if one of the minimum cabin crew becomes incapacitated due to an injury or the like, it will become a serious impediment in performing emergency evacuation duties. Even in the normal situation, since it will be violating the Act prescription on the minimum cabin crew complement, passengers will have to move to another available airline flights, encountering extreme inconvenience. Annex 6 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation specifies international standards for the determination of the minimum number of cabin crew shall be based only on the number of passenger seats or passengers on board for safe and expeditious emergency evacuation. Thereby in order to enhance the safety of the passengers and the crew on board, it is necessary to consider the cabin crew's fatigue that may occur in the various job characteristics (service, safety, security, first aid)and floor level emergency exit seating in calculating the minimum number of cabin crew. And it is also deemed necessary for the government's regulatory body to enhance the cabin safety for passengers and crew when determining the number of minimum cabin crew by reflecting the cabin crew's workload leading to their fatigue and unavailability to be seated in a floor level emergency exit on low cost carriers.

  • 비만과의 전쟁을 선포한 미국에서 탄산음료 퇴출 붐이 일고 있다. 미국은 지난 2005년부터 모든 공립학교에 탄산음료 판매를 금지시킨 것도 모자라 이제는 대도시 공공장소 판매도 규제하겠다고 나선 것. 당장 뉴욕과 LA가 입법화를 추진하고 나섰다. 다른 도시로도 이런 움직임이 확산이 된다면 미국 청량음료 업계는 비상이 아닐 수 없다. 탄산음료를 파는 청량음료자판기도 칼럼 배치를 다시 해야 한다. 인기를 끌던 탄산음료를 팔지 못하게 되면 이용률 저하가 뻔하다.

  • A stock valuation on the tax law is based on the valuation by market price. But, unlike the listed stocks, the unlisted stocks mostly have the unclear market price. Accordingly, it is necessary to calculate the fair value which corresponds to the market price. The purpose of this paper is to examine the appropriateness of the complementary valuation method in the Inheritance Tax and Gift Tax Act and to provide suggestions for improvement. This study is intended to provide the problems and solutions relating to the valuation of unlisted stocks through analysis of foreign legal systems and actual disputes. When the actual profit/loss data are used to calculate the net profit/loss value on the present regulations, it has the different weight on the latest 3 years' net profits and losses uniformly. Therefore, to extend the range of unlisted stocks valuation and to show the independent and high professionalism of appraisal council not the subsidy appraisal agency of the National Tax Service, it is necessary to change the current rule that the commissioner of the National Tax Service unilaterally appoints the private members into the method of public offering.

The Conceptual Design of Auto Releasing Emergency Wreck Marking Buoys (자동이탈식 비상침선표지 개발을 위한 개념설계 연구)

  • Aids to Navigation (AtoN) are marine traffic facilities to improve the safety and efficiency of shipping. "New Dangers" should be appropriately marked using lateral, cardinal or isolated danger marks or by using an Emergency Wreck Marking Buoy. However, Emergency Wreck Marking Buoys are difficult to implement in terms of speed and accuracy of installation. In the case of sinking accidents, it is often difficult to immediately install an Emergency Wreck Marking Buoy because of weather conditions, the marine environment or accident positioning. This study concerns Auto-Releasing Emergency Wreck Marking Buoys, which should be installed in all vessel for safe marine navigation and efficient maritime transport with reference to the Maritime Buoyage System (MBS). Auto-Releasing Emergency Wreck Marking Buoys include an auto-release unit, auto reel chain and auto lighting lantern. These buoys can be automatically released from the deck of a vessel and will float in the water for quick installation at the scene of an accident, even in the case of sinking accidents. Auto-Releasing New Mark Buoys are expected to reduce to installation process, prevent secondary accidents by the risk of navigation and be search and rescue rapidly.
