본 논문에서는 분산 이질 환경에서도 적용가능한 포인트 공유 모델을 제안하고 포인트 교환 기능을 갖는 포인트 브로커를 설계, 구현하였다. 머천트 서버와 브로커간 뿐만 아니라 브로커와 브로커간에도 동일한 방법으로 포인트 공유 기능을 지원하도록 함으로써 분산이질 환경에서도 별도의 조작이 불필요하다. 제안된 포인트 브로커는 SOAP 프로토콜에 기반한 웹서비스를 이용하여 구현되었고 교환율 관리, 포인트 정산 등의 기능도 제공한다.

Resource management in grid computing environment is essential for integration and interaction among heterogeneous resources. This paper discusses resource management methods of centralized and decentralized broker-based modeling for solving complex problems of resource management and presents design and development of the decentralized broker-based resource management modeling in grid computing environment. This model comprises a global resource broker and a local resource broker, and we derive reduction of communication and functional dispersion of Job management using a local resource broker. The simulation experiment shows the improvement of resource utilization and average response time and proves that this model improves utilization of resources and replies to user requests promptly.

본 논문에서는 QoS 멀티캐스트를 지원하기 위한 대역폭 브로커에 대하여 논한다. 현재 인터넷에서 QoS를 확장성있게 지원하기 위한 기술로 DiffServ가 대표적으로 적용되고 있으며, 해당 기술에서 특정 DiffServ 도메인내의 대역폭관리와 DiffServ 도메인간의 동적인 대역폭 관리는 대역폭 브로커라는 모듈에 의해서 수행된다. 본 논문에서는 멀티캐스트 라우터와의 연동기능을 기반으로하여, 다수의 사용자에게 QoS를 만족시킬수 있는 멀티캐스트 트래픽 전송을 지원하는 대역폭 브로커에 대하여 논한다. 해당 대역폭 브로커는 멀티캐스트 그룹내의 사용자의 가입/탈퇴에 따라 효과적으로 대역폭을 관리할 수 있다.

인터넷 기반의 VOD(Video On Demand) 서비스 시스템이 사용자에게 QoS (Quality of Service)를 보장하기 위한 방법으로 네트워크 흐름제어 기능을 갖춘 브로커를 개발하고자 한다. 네트워크 상태에 따라 흐름제어를 하는 브로커는 멀티-레이어 데이터를 이용하여 VOD 서비스를 제공한다. 이로써 사용자는 최소한의 버퍼와 버퍼 교환 알고리즘에 따른 복잡도를 줄일 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 상태를 파악하여 VOD 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 브로커를 설계하고 구현 결과에 대해 기술하겠다.

"Sale and purchase brokers" are independent contractors who act as agents for principals intending to seller or buy ships in English Maritime Law. The essential feature is that legal position of shipbroker is largely one of agency. They can be obtained by a study of the Lloyd's Register or the equivalent registers of other Classification Societies, the American Bureau of Shipping and Korean Registers. Such a broker is of valuable assistance to the prospective seller or purchaser. And the broker's liability normally arises in the context of a contract. But, expressed in general terms, those contractual obligations are, in absence of contrary agreement, to act with reasonable care and skilled to obtain the cover requested by his client not to guarantee that such will be concluded and to ensure that the scope of the policy, its essential terms and relevant exclusions are made known to the insured. Acting in this professional capacity, the broker's liability are such that the facts upon which an action for breach of contract may be based may also found an action for the trot of negligence provided that there is shown to be the necessary 'assumption of responsibility' by the broker conveyed directly or indirectly to the insured. This thesis deals with liability of S&P Brokers, the legal problems of ship broking, commission, conflicts of interest and secret commissions in English Maritime Law and the Cases.

EIRENE(The European Information Researchers Network)는 EU, EFTA, 동유럽국가 70여개 이상의 정보브로커를 대표하는 전문단체이다. 이 단체의 근본적인 목적은 유럽지역 정보브로커들의 정보공유를 위한 네트웍을 형성하는 것이다. 이 네트웍은 정보접근의 효율을 향상시키고 상업적인 활동을 하는 정보브로커를 개발하고 이용자에게 고품질의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 것이다.

This research proposed the method for application of SCORM in U-learning system. That is, I proposed the API broker to connect between U-learning and API Instance of RTE that is existing SCORM based learning object interface environment. The API broker operated handling process using request port and response port between SCORM and U-learning server. For efficient operation in each service, this system has learning contents service buffer in API broker.

모빌리티 인지 퍼브-서브 시스템은 사용자의 관심 위치 정보가 지속적으로 변하는 위치 기반 퍼브-서브 시스템으로써, 스마트 모바일 기기의 대중화와 함께 그 활용도가 부각되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 기존의 위치기반 퍼브-서브 시스템에서 깊이 고려하지 않았던, 관심 위치 정보의 빈번한 변화를 효과적으로 처리하기 위한 브로커 네트워크를 제안한다. 사용자의 행동패턴이나 지리적 특성을 고려해 퍼브-서브 시스템에서 제공하고자 하는 공간 데이터 영역을 Slow Moving Region과 Normal Moving Region의 두가지 타입으로 구분하고, 각 영역에 대한 사용자의 요청을 효과적으로 지원하기 위해 Q+R트리를 사용하여 브로커를 관리한다. 시뮬레이션을 사용한 실험 결과를 통해 제안하는 Q+R트리 기반의 브로커 네트워크가 불필요한 브로커의 로드와 네트워크 트래픽을 감소시킴으로써 보다 효과적으로 지속적인 사용자의 관심 위치 정보 변화를 지원할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

웹서비스(Web service)는 네트워크 상에서 서로 다른 종류의 컴퓨터들 간에 상호작용을 지원하는 소프트웨어 시스템이다. 현재 웹서비스 표준들은 주로 서비스의 기능적인 요소들에 대한 내용에 집중되어 있어서 웹서비스의 QoS와 같은 서비스의 비기능적인 속성들을 표현하는 것은 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 보다 신속하고 효율적인 웹서비스 합성을 위해 계층적인 브로커링 방식을 사용하여 웹서비스 합성을 위한 기법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 응용을 지원하기 위한 웹서비스의 구조가 계층적인 구조를 갖는다고 가정하고 웹서비스들을 지원하기 위하여 계층적인 브로커 구조를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 계층적인 브로커들은 웹서비스의 QoS와 합성을 지원하기 위해서 브로커 시스템 내에 QoS 상태 정보와 합성 정보를 유지한다. 제안기법에서는 이러한 구조와 이러한 정보를 통해 웹서비스 QoS 요청에 대하여 효율적으로 처리할 수 있다.
