A Study of the Girl System use with unity and diversity in the field of Editorial Design for the University Advertising Brochur (대학 홍보용 브로셔(brochure)의 편집디자인 분야에서 다양성과 통일성을 고려한 그리드 시스템(grid system) 사용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the editorial design of the advertising brochure in relation to the promotion of entering college freshmen. The role and function of the brochure promoting universities have been explained in terms of the editorial design. The special regard is paid to the Grid-system that must be handled with the greatest possible care in editorial design of brochures. In this study, it has not only divided into the three categories (Single Grid-system, Multiple Grid-system and Non-Grid-system) according to the Grid-system, and but also analyzed each case of the modeled college brochure. In the analyses, it is found that the using Grid-system brochures are much more effective than that of the lesser using Grid-system, especia1ly in the communication and design. Therefore, the Grid-system is shown to be crucial tool in the current design process of the college brochures. The suggestion of the using criterion of the Grid-system has also been made for the unity as well as diversity of layout in the editorial design. The study then extends this core object principle with the possible development of the Grid-system that includes the balance of the expression of the contents and the artistic structure of design. Additionally, the relationship between the Grid-system and the visual materials for the creative application to the brochure promoting the universities is presented as the final result of this study.

  • 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 국내 시장규모는 13조원을 넘어설 것으로 전망되며, 2008년까지는 시장 규모가 17조원을 넘어서는 등 높은 성장세를 이어갈 것으로 예상된다. 국외시장은 2010년까지 연평균 17.8%의 성장률을 보이며 2010년에는 89억 8,900만 달러에 달할 것으로 전망된다. 웹진은 소식을 외부의 이해관계자에게 효과적으로 전달하는 방법으로 오프라인에서는 소식지를 발간하고 온라인에서는 홈페이지의 공지사항 같은 게시판을 사용해 왔으나, 웹진의 등장으로 인해 온라인과 오프라인 두영역에서 동시에 서비스가 가능하며 온라인상에서 소식을 쉽고, 빠르게, 실시간으로 전달할 수 있는 잊점을 가지고 있으며 이를 쉽게 퍼블리싱할 수 있다. AJAX를 이용한 웹 카다로그 시스템은 JAVASCRIP와 XML로 구축이 되어 별도의 뷰어나 플러그인이 필요 없을 뿐만 아니라 자류롭게 줌임/아웃이 가능하여 자세한 정보를 오프라인의 책자나 브로셔와 똑 같은 느낌으로 전달한다. 또한, 온라인 상의 별도의 홍보 책자 브로셔를 제작할 필요가 없으므로 홍보비 절감의 효과를 가져올 수 있다.

A Study on Segmenting of Cruiser Customers (관광유람선 고객의 시장세분화에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted for market segmentation of cruise tourist according to launching the "T" in Busan. Benefit segmentation was used to identify attributes of cruise services; importance of ship's physical appearance and importance of service and activities. 24 attributes were distilled to 5 factors: 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Escape', 'Choice', 'Safety'. A K-means cluster analysis identified three clustered segments for five importance factors in which high loyalty customers were found to be the most important segment. Based on the findings, three distinct groups were formed: 'Moderators', 'High Loyalty', 'Spurious'. The most important factors by high loyalty groups were identified 'Safety', 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Choice', 'Escape' in order. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences among the three groups in terms of demographic and behavioral variables. Especially, the target market should be considered by 'High Loyalty' group and 'Moderators' group in order. Positioning strategies and marketing mix strategies for effectively targeting the segments were discussed.

  • 문제: 본원의 외래 상황은 진료의가 짧은 시간 내에 많은 환자를 진료해야 하고, 진료 환자 모두에게 충분히 만족하도록 설명해주는 것은 매우 어려운 실정이었다. 2007년의 의료기관 본 평가에 앞서 병원 자체 평가 결과 외래환자의 설명 만족도는 57점으로 저조하였다. 목적: "이해하기 쉽게 설명하는 서울대학교 병원" 이라는 슬로건 하에 설명간호사 제도를 운영하기 시작하여, 설명간호사실 운영 활성화를 통한 외래 환자 만족도를 향상시키고자 한다. 의료기관: 서울시 종로구에 소재한 대학병원 질 향상 활동: 설명간호사실 방문율 증가 및 one-stop service care을 실현할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였고, 검사 시행 이유, 귀가 후 주의사항 검사 결과, 검사일정 외래 진료 안내 브로셔 및 표준화된 교육 자료를 개발하였다. 또한 설명간호사의 역할 및 업무의 확립을 위한 업무기술서를 개발 및 설명간호사실 환경을 개선하였다. 개선효과: 설명간호사실의 방문율이 내과는 2배, 신경과는 3배 정도 증가하였다. 표준화된 교육 자료 개발로 설명 요구도를 충족시켰고, '환자의 알 권리'와 '설명을 들을 권리'를 보장하였다. 업무기술서 개발로 설명간호사의 업무 및 역할을 확립하였으며 설명간호사실의 환경 개선으로 개인 신상 비밀을 보호받을 권리를 보장하였다. 외래 설명만족도가 2007년 57점에서 2008년 74점으로 향상되었다. 설명간호사실 자체 설문조사에서도 97%가 만족한다고 답하였고, 100% 모두 재방문 의사를 보였다. one-stop service care를 제공함으로써 외래가 복잡하다는 부정적인 이미지를 긍정적인 이미지로 변화시켰다.

Application of 3D Digital Documentation to Natural Monument Fossil Site (천연기념물 화석산지의 3차원 디지털 기술 적용)

  • 20 fossil sites of numerous fossil sites in Korea have been designated as Natural Monument for protection and conservation. Many of the sites which is located at the coastal area have been gradually disfigured by natural weathering, erosion and human activity. Thus the conservation of the original form and the documentation for the original figure are necessary. In this study, we applied 3D digital documentation to Natural Monument No. 394, Haenam Uhangri dinosaur, pterosaur, and bird footprint fossil site, for maintaining the original form of the dinosaur footprints. We were able to obtain the 3D digital data on two dinosaur footprint sites, a high resolution distributional map, and more accurate digital data of the dinosaur footprints applied the rendering method by ambient occlusion. 3D digital data on the dinosaur footprints is worth for the conservation and research data, moreover content for applying to the various fields such as to make 3D brochure, interactive contents, and so on.

A Study on Viral Marketing Strategy for Community Website of Scientists and Engineers (과학기술자 커뮤니티 사이트를 위한 구전홍보 전략 연구)

  • A viral marketing has been an effective marketing tool in various fields. In this study, we applied a viral marketing strategy for managing the Internet community website of scientists and engineers, KOSEN(www.kosen21.org). We developed a function that enables members to send promotional e-mails to their acquaintances, and we also designed a reward system for the members who participated in KOSEN viral marketing. With these strategies, KOSEN members reacted positively on the rewards (i.e., mileage points, gift card) and also the loyalty members took part in the viral marketing program more actively than other members. Furthermore, an attractive event was very effective for the prompt reaction of the viral marketing. Managing loyalty members is necessary for the continuous effects. The viral marketing strategies and analysis results of this research could be used for the management of an Internet service.

  • This study aimed to analyze previous studies on cervical cancer preventive education programs for parents. Data from January 2007 to November 2017 were searched via PubMed, Science Direct and CINAHL in foreign search databases, and RISS and Dbpia in domestic search databases. A total of 329 papers were searched, and 7 papers were finally selected based on the selection criteria and the exclusion criteria. Power point(PPT), leaflet, brochure and text messages were used as method for program education and among which, PPT were used the most. As a result of education program effect, it is found that parent's knowledge on HPV and intention for preventive inoculation became increased and rate of actual inoculation indeed higher. This analysis indicates there is a big need for cervical cancer preventive education program developing for parents in Korea and accordingly, various study for programs are expected to be performed.

  • Recently, tourists and sightseers are increasingly showing their interests in the native local food cultures as their living standards improve. This is why the local autonomy bodies are vigorously trying to develop their local native foods as tourism commodities, which is a part of their efforts to bring a life to their local economies. This study explores the solutions to promote the native local foods of Jeonju area as a tourism item, eventually contributing to the progress of the local economy. The target population of this study was the owners of native local food restaurants in Jeonju area, and the survey was conducted from February 10th to 25th, 2008. For data analysis, frequency analysis was used. In order to achieve this goal, analysis on local restaurant managers for their business operation should be conducted. The results showed they had daily sales of under 100,000 won and did restaurant promotions through pamphlets, brochures and so forth. The development of food was carried out mostly by the restaurant owners and the restaurant management type was independent. To activate the food tourism in Jeonju area, it is necessary to develop a representative native local food restaurants of Jeonju area as a tourism attraction, excavating new food festivals and food tourism courses suited to different areas and developing various food ingredients and spice packages.

Regional cooperation of NOWPAP MERRAC against marine litter from sea-based activities in the Northwest Pacific region (북서태평양 지역의 해상기인 해양쓰레기 저감을 위한 NOWPAP 방제지역활동센터의 지역협력 활동현황 분석 및 향후 발전방향)

  • The marine litter generated as by-products of human activities and economic development enters to the sea through rivers or stream Indirectly, and through sea-based activities directly. It is commonly comprised of materials that degrade very slowly, such as various plastic products, polystyrene, glass, rubber, metal, wood, derelict fishing nets, wire, rope and so on. Such litter is found in the water column and on the seafloor as well as coastal areas In the Northwest Pacific region. It causes injury or death of human and other living organisms and also accident or damage of the vessel. It is not only a problem of country but also regional and/or global problem because it is transported by currents and winds from one country to another. In this regard, Northwest Pacific Action Plan (NOWPAP) Marine Litter Activity (MALITA) project had been carried out during 2006-2007 biennium and NOWPAP Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter (RAP MALI) has been also continuously implemented in the 2008-2009 biennium as next phase step of MALITA. MERRAC, one of four Regional Activity Centres (RACs) of NOWPAP, has developed monitoring guidelines, sectoral guidelines, and brochures related to sea-based marine litter and port reception facilities and services through MALITA project. Based upon these output, MERRAC will continuously implement relevant activities of RAP MALI in order to help to establish and improve a regional mechanism to deal with the sea-based marine litter problem. This paper aims to introduce MERRAC activities under MALITA and RAP MALI, and to suggest several recommendations to reduce marine litter in the NOWPAP region.

Analysis of Real State and Effect of Assistance Activity for Middle School Career Education by Gyeonggi-do Vocational High Schools (경기도 직업계고 제공 중학교 진로교육 지원 활동 실태 및 효과 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic data needed to establish a system of career education which can offer necessary information for middle school students to select vocational high schools suiting to their talent and aptitude. For this, the study formulated research questions: how middle school students in Gyeonggi-do could acquire information related with entering high school; their level of understanding about general high school and vocational high school and their level of information requirement; real state and effect (level of helping them choose future school) of assistance activity for career education as provided by vocational high schools. For the analysis, the study developed a questionnaire and conducted survey for 4,459 3rd graders from 627 middle schools at Gyeonggi-do. Findings were as follows. First, methods of middle school students getting information related with entering high school turned out in the order of internet search (42.0%), consultation with family and friends (25.5%), consultation with teachers (24.0%). While, their methods of getting information related with entering vocational high school turned out in the order of briefing session by vocational high schools (39.4%), field trip to vocational high schools (24.9%), consultation with teachers from vocational high schools (15.7%). Second, the level of understanding (five points full marks) of Gyeonggi-do middle school students about high school by the type they wished to enter, and the level of information requirement (five points full marks) turned out 3.65 and 3.67 respectively for students who wished to enter general high schools, with the difference being 0.02. On the other hand, the level of understanding and that of information requirement turned out 2.92 and 3.25 respectively with the difference being 0.33, for students who wished to enter vocational high schools. Third, looking at the real state of participation of Gyeonggi-do middle school students in assistance activities for career education provided by vocational high schools, 79.4% of all students were participating. Activity with high participation ratio out of these turned out to be in the order of PR and guide book (booklet, brochure, etc.) for vocational high schools at 90.3%, briefing session prepared by vocational high schools on visit at 87.8% and video of vocational high school PR and introduction at 85.9%. The level of how these activities helped middle school students choose their high school was 3.45, showing more effect by 0.13 on students wishing to enter vocational high schools compared to those wishing to enter general high schools.
